The 1928 song C-O-N-S-T-A-N-T-I-N-O-P-L-E was about how to spell Constantinople. Constantinople was officially renamed Istanbul entirely in the West in 1930. In 1953, 500 years after the fall of Constantinople, this novelty song was produced. This cover of it is from 1990.
The original 1950's song was made for the 500 year anniversary of the fall of Constantinople. This version is a great cover, and arguably also a great improvement.
