since this has gone up the campus has grown alot and still looks great. i think it will really rival top schools in the southeast in the next few decades
5 years later, campus has improved way more AGAIN, they did a branding revamp, new buildings everywhere, and they’re on page to be the only other R1 university in NC aside from UNC and NC state. so yea I’d say in 15 yrs it’ll rival top schools
Very informational! As a rising high school junior I have been researching colleges suited to my interests and sometimes it is very hard to find information on colleges but this showed great points about the school, Thank you!
It is a pretty big school but all of main campus is within 15 minutes walking distance max. It normally takes about 4 average to walk from class to class. And don't worry about meeting people we're all really friendly I promise.
my brother goes to a school a little bigger than this and he's a junior. he says that he sees someone he knows everyday! if you're social you'll meet a lot of people and make lots of friends. there are tons of clubs and organizations to help you meet people with similar interests! :) & he rides his bike a lot to get to class. plus most universities have a bus system to take students around. its not too bad, i think you'll get used to it in no time!
I love liveing in the south this is in a big city it's like 3 or 4 hours from my house so i'll still be closee to home. kinda likeing this school more and more.
This school looks HUGE!!! I go to a very small private military college and am looking to transfer, but how do you get around campus and get used to so many people?? It's like living in a city!!
@celmnc I'm 14 years old, but I really really want to go to UNC Charlotte when I grow up!!! I live in Montreal, Canada, so I'm hoping that I can make that dream come true!
gpa to get into the general school is like 2.5 at the highest. its more about proving yourself once you get in classes (lots of weed out courses depending on major)
last year in 5th grade we went to this school and got a tour. the students looked really happy and from what iv'e seen its a good school and when i graduate high school i might go here.
people in arts are jealous of architecture lol i have friends who complain about it all the time how architecture has all the money and praise. i would suggest going where the money is
12 years later, this place has expanded and changed drastically. We're a force now!

Nursing here is the hardest thing to get into... take your Gen Ed classes first then after your first year talk to your adviser about it.

How difficult is it to get into the dance program?
Is GPA a big deal here or are they pretty selective?

I call dibs on arts and architects :D (if I make it)
people in arts are jealous of architecture lol i have friends who complain about it all the time how architecture has all the money and praise. i would suggest going where the money is
Yee Haw I can see that :)
It depends on your confidence and interest. It is right that architecture has more money.
You need to check out CSU lol, 5 times bigger than UNCC :P
have fun with those winters
The social aspect of this campus sucks...well if you're a shy person that is. If you're shy, do not come to this school. You will socially fail!
