I don’t remember any tour guides in 1989. I remember, because I declined freshman admission, being asked by a really awesome and funny administrator why I declined a spot in 1988. I smiled and said, earnestly, my mother didn’t think I needed to be here as a freshman. She passed away a week into my sophomore and first year in Chapel Hill. I am a TAR HEEL. The town, university and Maurice Julian made my time in the Southern part of Heaven a warm embrace. I graduated on time with no debt thanks to my mom. It was a challenge. But worth every effort. Hark the Sound.
2017 UNC Alumni! By far the best memorable school, friends, and moment made. Those who applied and got accepted, good luck. To those that applied and didn’t get in, don’t give up!
You will love it here! I went to UNC as an undergraduate. The students are friendly and the academic standards are so rigorous I believe you will realize a great education here.
I walked the campus in March 2021. I was amazed at how beautiful it was, any student will be very lucky to go to college there. Dorrance field was the highlight for me as a diehard UNC woman's soccer superfan
Love my town, love my State and my University! Love you, North Carolina, you're encouraging me to be my best self even when I'm so far from you. You'll be in my heart forever.
Home of Ricardo “Chelsea Queen” Caves. He was always a shy, introvert guy that lived with his mother at 30 years old and was wasting his life in a club named Chelsea’s every night. One day, noticing he had the potential to be more than a part time K-Mart greeter, his friend, Arlene told him he had to stop wasting his life drinking wine coolers and being hung over every day and that he should do something with his life. He listened, became fluent in English, got his Masters in Spanish and, last time I heard, was going to NC to work on his Ph. D. Tu ama would be proud!!!
This is Betty sons school. We visited this week for a wedding to celebrate our families together. I had fun. I’m taking a couple classes currently at Princeton which are hard but I’m learning a lot. Thank you for this virtual tour. Duke looks like a good medical university. I loved the fresh well water. I am an artist with the govt and I love most dogs. Thomas and I are from Charleston. He’s the smartest person I’ve ever known.
UNC is quite large in North Carolina. The cultural anthropology enablement is pretty strong. And, when you consider the board make-ups and student and investment finance… the intersections between law enforcement (criminal Justice) and DOD classified and otherwise climate funding… the possibilities exist and are magnified in the urgency (but not emergency) of improvement process with good silo easing, not silo obliterating work. From a larger perspective, the academia and other sectors… it is workable. It’s not just at UNC… it’s community engagement…
I am prepare to go to UNC for summer program. I feel excited but nervous. Do you guys could give me some suggestions about how to enjoy the six weeks in Chapel Hill Campus?
Jesus is King! If you do not know Jesus as Savior please pray, “ Jesus save me. At this moment I choose to have faith that You gave Your life for me and rose from the dead. Doing this You defeated death, even though it meant You had to die. You surrendered Your life for me, so I chose to surrender my life to You. Forgive me Jesus, my God. Amen.” Jesus loves you so much. Please accept His love. I encourage you to read the Bible and pray. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only begotten Son into this world, that whoever believes that in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 🙏❤️🙏 Jesus is enough! Again I tell you, Jesus loves you!
I want to go there but im 24 and only recently got out of a cult that discouraged higher education without money to spend really. I just want to learn and get the whole college experience to work on myself and in that city in particular since I want to stay there.
I'm only in 8th grade but I really badly wanna be an actress. And after some research, I think this is wear I wanna go for it. It's close to where my family is and teaches theater. So this would be perfect. But does anyone have any suggestions for stuff I should know about this place before completely deciding?
Isnt it better to go to a theater school? Anyways my only tip is that you need to make sure you take calculus in hs, and econ 101 at community college (in the case those are needed for a second major or minor) and not at unc because it's way harder.
No (unless commuting or special circumstances) they typically have to live in a dorm or in Granville towers. Granville is owned by the university but is not run by them. It has its own dining hall, gym, and study areas. It’s closer to franklin street and Greek life than the rest of the dorms.
Shame on your football team and university. Althlectics is about competition, sportsmanship, and respect. Political statements on jerseys, ect. is unacceptable. There is no systemic racism in America. There is some racism, but it goes both ways, all ways, for that matter. Racsim is not something that can be mandated out, it's up to every individual person. College football is about tradition. Get that crap out of football and all sports. Put the last names of players back on the jerseys, or better yet no names like Notre Dame. I normally would go for the underdog and back North Carolina in the game, but I am disappointed and disgusted by what I see. This is coming from a white man who has lived by, worked with, had enjoyed Holiday dinners with my Black neighbors, friends, and co-workers. We are all the same. Human beings who love our friends and family. This nonsense is orchestrated to manufacture division between white and black when the real division needs to be understood and handled. The Scumbags at the top and the rest of us. The real people need to unite and stop this takeover.

@@joshuaharvey3039 true, but the earlier you look at colleges the more of an upper hand you have over people that have no idea about college.
Good luck! I'm sending my law all in this summer hopefully.

Pick a more secure major while doing theater / acting on the side
The most beautiful campus on earth.
beautiful campus!
what is the university price?
NCSU has the best student Union. Hands down.
I went here for a seminar a few years back and it is beautiful. It’s so large it gives Hogwarts feels.😅
Is there anyway freshmen could live off campus?
I don’t think so. UNC is one of the colleges that makes freshman live on campus, but after that I’m pretty sure you can live off campus.
Ive heard that they can make exemptions for people with certain conditions in which they would be better off living off campus

How much did Lee Roberts pay you?
Wow, this kid's voice sounds like you would expect from a UNC student.
Are there MBA courses for graduates in this university?
