Zippy, what was your job in the Airforce? My first hitch was Airforce, as an enlisted avionics tech on interceptors at Tyndall AFB, Fl in the late 1970s. Did my second hitch in the Navy in the early 1980s as an electronic tech on a small ship. 😊
Thanks for your service. I had a dual AFSC. Power production Specialist. I mostly worked on the flight line operating the barrier systems. I did work in one power plant. Served from 1972-1978.
I look forward to seeing your idea on the 57' Zippi! There is a gold decal for the inlay of that trim if that's what you were planning on using the gold BMF for. 😎👍
Awesome Zippi! Great answer and I'll be watching your next build as I have that same kit. I've got 3 builds going right now and a buddy build to get started on, but I keep eying that Ford wagon. That'll be one close to my birth year, I've been looking for some cool 1958 Ford, but 1957 has cooler cars so that'll work. Have a great week Zippi!!
Very nice love the colour two tone as well. not sure if you are on Facebook, but I painted mine up like our local highway patrol car.😁 i’d love to show you.or what group you are in on there
Check the decal sheet for the 57, it may have the gold insert. Also you could use "Gold Leaf" sheets, I think Hobby Lobby would have some. Just A Tough
Awwwww man. Sorry about the truck mess up Zippi. That's a real bummer. The 57 ranch wagon is going to be a sweet build too I think. Even a duck egg blue would look cool on that wagon. And speaking of colors, what is the difference between metallic and pearl paints? I have some metallics but wanted to find out how they differ. OK I'm gone.
Yeah, I've been down this road before and even had worse so it's not my first rodeo. That 57 wagon is pretty kewl. I don't know what to tell ya man on the paints. I don't use the metallic or the pearl. I did use the Tamiya Pearl Clear one time but that's about it.
🛻 Easy off is great for removing paint from plastic models and graffiti from plastic fences , but it must be done outside. Your next build with that green colour will look great. Have a great day Zippi.
Very cool! Thanks for sharing.
You bet Alan. I'm diggin it.
Love the color you pick for the 57 Ford Wagon, Thanks for sharing.
You bet Donnie. That for the visit.
That is going to be an awesome build. love the colors Zippi.
Thank's Budda.
You picked a great color scheme for the ‘57. That is going to look great when you finish it. Thanks for sharing.
Thank's Michael. I acually picked these colors for a 55 Nomad I was going to build.
It's a Great kit!!!! I'll be watching
Thanks. Everything looks good so far.

Bummer about the truck.
57 ford looks like a nice kit. Enjoy the build.
Neat activities to do😊
Thank's Charley. I've got the truck cleaned up and ready to get it back in primer maybe later today.
Nice colors for the ranch wagon. The strip bucket is no fun place to put a project but sometimes it is necessary
Thank's man. Yup, been there, done that, and still doing it with the ole strip bucket.
That ranch wagon will be a cool build!
Thank's Don. Hey, what ever happened with your "Old Heavy" build?
Gonna be a cool build.
Thank's Ken. I really like this kit so far.
Man I'm really looking forward to watching that Del Rio build, brother!! ✌️😁
Thanks man. It looks like a really nice kit. Love the wheels & tires.

Thank's. I saw it after I made the video.
Zippi the wagon should be cool. yes they make a gold bmf. have some here for a project but have not used it yet.take care
Thank's Buddy. Haha, turns out the kit does have the gold inlay decals on the sheet.

Thank's Larry. I couldn't handle that many builds at once. The 57 is a nice kit.
@@olezippi Yes, that 57 is a really nice kit. I think your colors will be really nice. I'll need to figure out my color scheme too.
Thank you for responding to the question brother! I believe Bare Metal still makes Gold; I know they used to.
You bet Buddy. I have the gold bmf on back order at my local hobby shop.
@@olezippi nice! We used to use it on lowrider builds 🤙🏼
Very nice love the colour two tone as well. not sure if you are on Facebook, but I painted mine up like our local highway patrol car.😁 i’d love to show you.or what group you are in on there
Thank's Trevor. I'm active on "Our model car garage" on Facebook.
@@olezippi ok perfect ty

Thank's Terry. Yup, after I made this video I saw the gold decals.
I love that color Zippi…
Thank's Terry. I thought it would look pretty good
Can’t wait to see that 57
Thank's man. Thank's for swinging by.
Wow, Tamiya primer never messes up. Where do you get your splash paints?
I know right. I should have let it cure over night like I normally do. I get the paint at www.splash-paints.com/
57 is so cool buddy, 😎👍
Thank's Tom. Great body style. love the wheels & tires that come with this kit.
Nice 😎
Thank's Daniel. Thank's for dropping by the garage.
@@olezippi your welcome 😁
Shame about the paint on the pickup. That wagon should be cool, Great update Zippi, Ron
Thanks Ron. I'm hoping the 55 cleans up ok and I can give it another shot. The 57 wagon is sharp.
❤ THE BOX"$ ! . UZED ONE MYSELF 😮 ! ... .. . 🤩🐎🤠
Thank's Buddy.
Nice
Much obliged Terry.

Yeah, the cure time for that primer might be the issue. If you apply Splash paint in light coats I don't really think it matters what primer you use.
Yup, I think your right. My fault on this one.
Have you ever tried 91% isopropyl alcohol to strip paint off, I wish I knew how to put my builds on here
I have used the 91% isopropyl. Easy-Off works the best.
Mine had issues from the start. Ended up in the scrap box. Wasted money.
I hear ya man. It happens man.
🛻 Easy off is great for removing paint from plastic models and graffiti from plastic fences , but it must be done outside. Your next build with that green colour will look great. Have a great day Zippi.
Much obliged. Yup, that Easy-Off will take your breath.
