A man who collects useless trivia on automotive history, is a man just like me. I can't get enough old car magazines and stats information. Like you I have a magazine library, which most think is a waste of space but I love looking at them and reading up on anything automotive related, got no time for sports or other 'hobbies'. Man beautiful Johan build Raoul! GTX's are indeed rare today, I guess the BEEP, BEEP cartoon pre-sold the car, LOL!

Thanks! My magazines, I have been scanning them and adding them to my computer. Makes it easier to find articles!

I owned a 69 GTX, silver with black roof and black bottom trim with red interior.
    Thanks for the review.

Fun fact: although the GTX was dropped as a nameplate after '71, when '72-74 Road Runner's were equipped with a 440, they wore small GTX emblems.

Yes. I built a 73 Road Runner GTX! I also did a 72 Road Runner with a 400. Plan to build another 72 Road Runner GTX with a 440 6BBL! Plymouth made 1 known example. It’s in The Brothers Collection.

Sure wish I still had all the old Johan Mopar kits my brother had! These bring back a lot of memories! As usual, another nice build!

A pretty rare kit. The JoHan 70 GTX is even more rare. You have them both. Very cool!

It would be cool to see a video like you did for the Oldsmobile kit comparisons except for the Roadrunner and Gtx kits

I have had a bunch of them and they have been released many times and some with wrong parts. 68 Roadrunners with emblems molded on and some without emblems. Then a Belvedere box. 69 GTX kits with 68 Roadrunner Grills and hood, wrong 68 year bumpers. Most had just the 440 but last reissue had all three engine options and correct 69 parts.

I'd bought a few years ago a "junkyard" group of Mopar GTX/ROAD RUNNER hardtops/convertibles, so if you've seen the show on cable of junkyard build Mopars, I'm planning to create cars you wouldn't have normally seen in the showroom, but then again, isn't that what imagination is all about??
