I love hearing when a classic tune can work on any instrument. But I wonder if the pianist had any comments about being shifted to accompianist on a piece written for her instrument.
I am so glad you played this it’s in my opinion one of the most beautiful pieces ever written for the piano and have always wondered what it would sound like on the euphonium ❤❤❤❤keep up this incredible work❤
Have you ever heard of Hummingbrrd by Steven Bryant? I think you would really like it and it would be cool to hear. This piece is great as well and played virtuostically!
I’ve been thinking In most videos I’ve seen on this channel, you guys use Euphonium Is it a different feel when playing baritone horn, or is it personal preference for a given song
It's same range but has a backpressure and sound a bit more similar to trombone (slightly brighter and cleaner). We sometimes use it but I'm predominantly a euph guy so that's that :D
I am sorry, but it drags! It should have been performed using a English Baritone. The Euphonium is to heavy and inarticulate. Its not your playing its just the nature of the instrument.
Inarticulate? Heavy is certainly a fair descriptor of the sound as it is a type of tuba, but just making the bore less conical doesn't make it any more articulate.
Drew-an absolutely wonderful treatment of this masterpiece. And Matonizz, your interpretation is relaxed and really puts forward the "feel" of someone in love with the music of Chopin. Thanks to you both. I will definitely download this one.
Yep, every solo that we produce has a part and key compatible with all brass, wind and string instruments. This piece has an Ab version that has tuba parts in BC, Bb and Eb. You can find it here www.matonizz.com/product/nocturne-no-2

You should be glad I didn't record it on tuba then 😃

Thank you Craig!
Wow, that tone is amazing!
Also, looking to get a new mouthpiece. Using a 4AL right now, but just curious, what mouthpiece do you use?
Thank you!
@@Matonizz Of course!
@@Euphonium_boi SMU4, that being said, 4AL is really good, unless you have a great reason to change it I would just stick with it :)
@@Matonizz Fair enough, thank you!
is there a translation for tuba ?
