For everyone trying to clean a mess, I personally like to use sand (fine or notmal sand) the yellow one it dries and makes it easier to get in a bag or bin, after that you can add bleach and liquid soap to fo a deep clean, I live in north African so sand is available everywhere, now wish me luck cause I'm planning on how and where to start cleaning that foster cat 4 babies poop (they did it in a room because we forgot to open the door to them to be able to use sand potty area/ as I have 5 other cats) I was trying to separate them cause they fight😅.. This video is amazing thank you😊

I know that bleach is a strong chemical, but it is the only thing that I have found that can destroy both urine and poop odors all the way. It will take a couple of days for the smell of the bleach to subside, but it will and then you will have clean once again.
Don't see why not. It also is the only thing that got all the urine smell out from their accidents. Tried everything else, even the really expensive bio treatments designed for that. Just remember to do a test spot to make sure the bleach doesn't ruin the rugs.

Having ulcerated colitis, I suddenly became very Ill last night and it’s tracked from bedroom to bathroom. Today I have to face the clean up. Makes it worse is that I bought a brand new light silver carpet through out my property after 25 years, new carpet only been laid down 5 months ago. So miserable.

@@oceanark77 I bought a small upholstery cleaner at Walmart it’s the only thing that got rid of the smell. You could probably use a spray bottle and a wet/dry vac and a scrubbing brush and get the same results as I did. Good luck!
Was the diarrhea dry? What do you do if it is dry? My cat just diarrhea and every room of my house on the carpet overnight, but I could not clean it this morning because I had to go to work. So by the time I get home it will be hard and dry. I just bought the Bissell Big Green. I have not even taken it out of the box yet. So do you think it will work on dried diarrhea?
I'm am sorry that you have such a cleaning job ahead of you. If it did dry up I would wet it down with a spray bottle with just some water before you get started. Get it loose and moist again. I hate that I just had to say that. Good luck.
How are you mixing your bleach? when you put the soap on it before using the machine did you just spray it on and leave it or did you blot or rub the area with the cleaner?
I just added the bleach right into the machine. Using the measuring cup that is in the fill tank lid just like you would add soap to it. There are usually two lines on the fill cups, a lower one and higher one. I filled the bleach to the lower line on the measuring cup. I did not add additional soap. Some soaps / cleaners have a bad reaction with bleach so keep that in mind of you come back with a different cleaner right after the bleach. I would recommend doing a lot of rinsing passes of the area to remove all bleach before you come back with another cleaner.

I rinse every time. It's like washing your hair and not rinsing. You are leaving behind a lot of dirt and soap and your carpet will very quickly return to being dingy and dirty. If you don't do the rise after your soap cycle, you will be shocked at how much is still in there. I recommend putting as much importance to the rinse as you do the wash. 👍 So glad to help! Sure, on the shampooer, there should be a soap cup normally the lid to the clean water reservoir. There should also be at least a max line on that cup, but sometimes also a min line. If it has a min line, then fill it to that with the bleach. If it only has a max line then fill it to less then that. It is always best if you can get some fresh air into the room when doing this as well.

I was the only thing that I could get to work. I used every pet cleaner and bio cleaner that I could find and it didn't work. Bleach just get's rid of it all. Though, I will have to try your trick sometime. I hadn't tried that yet.

Just a real sensitive stomach. I am now giving him probiotics daily and that has helped.

My problems are dog urine but I pre soak with peroxide and dust with baking soda to lift the urine! It works but you still need a good steam cleaner.
