I did three months of research and decided on 2021 Titan SV with low miles and bells and whistles. I believe I made the right decision. I’m disappointed that it will be gone next year. Great review.
Regarding shifting points, you have to take into account the difference in axle ratio. its a 4.083:1 versus a 3.36:1 in the non-XD version. that can make a HUGE difference in acceleration and towing. i pull a 10K lb 5th wheel with my titan xd and its a dream. It very comprable to my dads 2500hd chevy. He was blown away when he had to pull his fifth wheel with mine, after he had issues with his chevy.
Feedback for your test drives...tilt the camera down or lower it altogether. The headliner is taking up about 1/2 our view and we can't see the gauges. I was hoping to see the fuel economy...
And that is exactly why it's going away. Priced same as say a ram limited yet interior is not near the quality. Even the power steering is like having none at all. Platinum needed to be priced around 60,000 not 69000. Working with many dealers they still won't budge more than 5000 off msrp and the trucks have been on there lots up to 420 days.
WTF is right dude. Titan boxes for grocery bags, you serious?? It’s a truck, will it pull a skid steer, can you put a plow on it ..get real. This perception of these trucks as grocery getters absolutely kills us that need a TRUCK FOR WORK.
These trucks are so underrated and yes they do pull a skid steer and i know because I have and no problems only problem is gas but not that bad these trucks are way better than most trucks of nowadays
So while that is amusing to read, as a Titan Plat Reserve owner I can tell you I do use the Titan Box for groceries. Not always, but for a large run and if it's dry out, which is a lot of the time for me...I just pull the cart up to the side, reach my arm over and drop the bags in one by one, side by side. That box fits an entire cart full of groceries. What's handy is that sometimes I know if I need to do other errands, I grab some icepaks from the fridge and toss them in before I drive out, and I've basically got all the perishables in a cooler for a few hours, no problem. Sometimes if it's just a small load, I put the "40" seatback up and just use the grocery hooks if it's 2-3 bags worth. Point is, a lot of versatility.
@@johneden7975 that would be kinda stupid when you already have a Titan box...one reason I can afford to pay cash for a Plat Reserve is that I don't suck with money, buying unnecessary things.

5/8 ton, it’s a tweener. Nissans marketing and the design of the truck doesn’t showcase how different these are from the non xd. I could care less, I love mine.
The nissan titan is the most underrated truck ever!!!
The Titan is a victim of brand loyalty, after the sales to the 4 other brands, it leaves little for Nissan!

non xd axle ratio is now 3:69 after 2020
@@scott8238 you are correct. My 2015 Titan had a 3.36.

Now my 1st new Nissan Titan pickup to buy.
One day........ I buy the new 24' Nissan Titan.
I love these reviews of yours. After summer is over about August I'm buying a new titan as it has the V8 and no nanny systems.

Best truck I ever owned...old man talking
The XD is a class 2b (2500) vehicle. There is no such thing as a 2000. Class 2a truck are 1500's Class 2b trucks are 2500's per GVWR
Truck review but didnt cover payload capacity sticker.

Will a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood fit in between the tool boxes?
Yes
Day 1, removed bed boxes.
@@GregoryRamsey why?
@@absolute.freedom I need ALL of my bed space. Just my particular circumstance. They also got water in them and soured.
@@GregoryRamsey gotcha, would a 4x8 sheet of plywood fit with them installed?
I build one and it costs over 62k so prices are comparable with other brands why they say nissan titan is cheap

With it being discontinued will it take on a higher depreciation rate than if it was still being manufactured?
Who cares, if it's a truck that fits your lifestyle and you plan on keeping it then it don't matter

5'7"
the XDs have 6'7", regular titans are 5'7" unless you get the smaller cab
Last of the ice vehicles
