All their suspension were ripped out for better travel and ride, transmissions pulled out and isolated from the radiator redone the valve body and torque converter.... All this before they are put to work. In the end, an oem truck really sucks but it's a great platform to build off of over the other brands. If only Nissan Execs would drive the trucks 15k to 30k miles a year, will they understand what it's like to drive a truck.

I've been a Chevy guy. I've driven a Z71 and a Texas Edition Chevy for the last 22 years. The first one had 318k miles and the second one has 301k miles. So when looking at a truck this go around I drove the 4 big ones. To get a comparably equipped Chevy it would have cost almost 30k more! After driving this beauty fora few weeks I can say that it's awesome! Love everything about it.... 0% interest was a huge plus... The 100k bumper to bumper was a big thing for me because I drive a lot. One of the best decisions I've made. Oh... My wife and I bought a new Armada about a year ago and it's a refined beast with the V8. Love it as well.
I REALLY do hope they bring back the Titan! I wish it had more aftermarket support though. I think that is the main reason the Titan doesn't sell as well. It's hard to find lift kits, headlights, Superchargers and other cool stuff for it if at all. It just doesn't have the support even Toyota gets with their Tacoma or Tundra and they both suck by comparison. I do hope they keep the V8 maybe bring it back with more power and add that V6 Twin Turbo to the line up as an other engine choice. I also LOVE the steering shifter and just feels more of a traditional truck compared to the other big 3. This is Nissan's chance to take advantage of the fact the Tundra is doing bad reputation wise as well as the other big 3. Well have to see how the RAM does with that new Hurricane engine reliability but if Nissan can gurry up amd take advantage of the situation they can make a big comeback
I hope the Titan stays on maybe Mack trucks in Allentown PA could take over the Titan P/U Mack has been wanting todo a P/U for a long time I think it would be cool I’m a Mack fan I have driven Mack semi trucks I think the aquisition would be excellent for both Nissan & Mack
I have a 2023 Platinum Reserve and would not take any competitor for it. Upgraded from a 2021 SV. It is a great truck and a superb tow vehicle for our RV. I have owned Chevy and Ram trucks before and the Titan is the best, not to mention the best warranty in the industry.
I have a 2011 ram. Love it. Not sure about the new ones. I would look at the titans if they do have a 2026 model. However does Nissan still have rust issues?
I haven’t had any rust in any of the Nissans I’ve had but that’s mostly been while in South Carolina. Japanese cars for some reason always seem to be more prone to rust in northern climates than some others. But keeping them clean helps a lot!
Im on my 5th Titan...great price and really great warranty...my '24 does have transmission and cruise control issues.....1st Titan Ive had that has ANY issues.
@@the_next_adventure "slams" into first gear when stopping...hard up shifts into 2nd...Nissan says they can't find anything wrong, plus multiple cruise control issues...same transmission issue reported on multiple post boards...none of my other Titans did this...only has 15K miles but luckily there is a 5 year 100,000 mile warranty...
Nissan would have a kill shot with a de bored/stroked v8 maybe around 4 liters, twin turbo and CGI block. I know, it’ll never happen. But Nissan knows how to build a great V8 and it will be sad if it’s gone forever.
I think Nissan could build a halo truck. That Warrior concept with that V6 and maybe a hybrid could compete with the Raptor type of truck. But thats a pipe dream though. That GTR engine in a Frontier would be sik!
Still love my 2014 Pro4x. She is still solid (little rust and I live in the rust belt) and has had little major issue. Looking for the unicorn XD Pro4x in a 2nd gen. Will hand down the 2014 to my daughter if I can find one.
My 2004 titan had that and later in it's life I added a Dual exhaust. I noticed no real difference. Then I added a Cold Air intake and WOW, what a difference! It went from a lag of a second or so to start to accelerate, to instantly snapping your head back. Not sure would be same on 2020, but might be!
So the previous gen titans had a wide open throttle restriction from factory and to me it feels like the same thing only worse since the engine is even more powerful can be eliminated through tuning
@nrssweet4860 no buying a piggyback tuner or going to a shop that has a dyno and tuning software is the only way to remove it.. dealer can refresh your ecu but that's more so returning back to factory settings so you would still have the restriction
I just bought a mostly loaded 24 SV and love it so far. I got a good deal on it or I wouldn’t have even looked twice at it. Point is, if Nissan decides to bring it back, they need to undercut all other manufacturers for the first few years. Get a bunch of them out there and build interest. If not, they’ll be pushing 15k units a year like they did in 23 and that’s not worth it.
I highly doubt they would restart production on a full size truck. I own a 2022 pro-4x and I think it would be great if they do decide to do it, but it doesn’t make sense with how bad they have done in sales. I think they will bring back the X-Terra as some sort of foreign Nissan patrol clone. That would make a lot more sense with the current market. The Titan had a good run, I just rather see this twin turbo v6 in the Frontier, like a beefed up Frontier Warrior (already know it’s not happening).
Nissan is a great company but disappoints me here in Canada. The Nissan dealer told me that Nissan is discontinuing the frontier king cab and 6 foot box. Nothing in stock at the dealers. Nissan rid their exterra and titan. I did like the ride and feel of the frontier over the Toyota Tacoma. That Nissan frontier 3.8 is a nice engine. I would like to see the 3.8 option in the titan for people that don't tow. The dodge 1500 with the 3.6 has plenty of power as would the titan with the 3.8
Would have loved to have gotten a Titan. Went with a Frontier and love it. I believe they out priced themselves out the market. If it was a lot cheaper they would have sold a ton of them. Truck are ridiculous in price and folks just keep paying for overpriced trucks.
I prefer the frontier, but we have dogs and need to pull a camper so full sized what we needed. I don't think price was the issue with the Titan. Even fully loaded, it comes in far less than the comparable from the big 3. Marketing and support was the problem. Everyone assumes American trucks are the "real trucks" and that Nissan could not possibly make a good one. Nissan allowed doubt to remain the minds of consumers despite the fact that the 5.6 v8 in the titan is one of the best truck engines out there. They are solid, good looking trucks and no one even knows about them.
Personally I can't see Nissan spending time and money on R&D for a new Titan platform. Especially since every year sales numbers have dwindled. Hopefully I'm wrong. I'm currently on my 4th new Titan. Most recently purchased a XD PR. Can't say enough good about the Titan. Nissan failed the Titan because of their lack of advertising.
I agree with the lack of advertising. They really did not support the truck at all! At this point, I don’t think they would even have to put much R&D into it. They could keep the same body style as the 24 - maybe slight interior update and just mate the new turbo 6 onto the existing 9spd.
Twin turbo clones , all garbage. Ford , Chevy dodge, Toyota they all will be too expensive to fix . I am going with the secret weapon of the working class. 4.7 liter genius.
Turbos will always provide more “power” but turbos average life span is 150k miles and $2k plus to replace. Naturally Aspirated engines are simple pure power without bolt on turbos to wear out.
Yeah im a Nissan got myself I have the 2019 Nissan frontier King cab brand new when I got it love that truck 2.5 I did a lot of stuff to it. But it would be crazy if they used the the V6 in the new frontier in just twin turbocharged it
The best trucks of large history come from JApan and Nissan not joking, im sure they come back with legendary v6 and more tech and new mad face for that name.
what does mileage matter when it costs a dollar more per gallon of gas because you have to run premium because it has a turbo... It's a wash. I'll stick with my 23 a and a v8.
No one is more sad about Titan going away than myself. 100% chance there will be no electric Titan. Ford can’t move their electric units and Nissan can’t even move their Gas Titans. It would cost over 500 Million to develop a New Titan. Nissan has what it takes except the $. And even if they invested the $ people just don’t give the Titan a look. It’s not a gamble I see them taking anytime soon. The 2020 refresh IMO was very good but it couldn’t have come at a worse time. Covid which wasn’t Nissans fault.
@@the_next_adventure I agree just wishful thinking 😂 maybe get 1,000s of people to petition it or get a lot of people calling both companies recommending it
The frontier is seeing increased sales because people don't want the turbo. Automakers can't sell EVs. The stupidity of all this is not driven by market demand but by government mandates. I can understand why Nissan is making these moves and it's sad.
Keep the 9 speed and keep the 5.6L V8. But also offer the turbo V6. Why not offer both engines. Give people a choice.

@@adamantturner5019 Chevrolet/GMC 2500/3500s have a 6.6 gas engine. I have heard of very few complaints about it.
I have the 2019 Titan XD pro 4X with the 5.0 diesel. I tow a 30 foot fifth wheel ,we love this truck. They should have stuck with it.
Awesome!
Great video brother and I just bought the 2024 Nissan Titan not too long ago and man let me tell you its a freakn beast.
Thanks for checking in! Enjoy the Titan!
@@the_next_adventure Thanks brother I sure will
The Vr engine is a proven v6 unlike Toyota, Ford v6's are garbage. I still think nissan should stick to what's not broken don't fix v8's
NO one wants EV
The problem with the diesel XD was that it wasn’t competitive with the Ram 2500.
Also dealer expertise wasn’t there to service them.
Really like my 2023. Right blend between old and new school. Just couldn’t digest the twin turbo issues in the new tundra so cancelled my order, haha.
I’ve owned 3 titans and I would buy a new one if they bring back the long bed
toyota said a similar about the land cruiser. They were no longer going to have it in the US but now they are pumping them out left and right.
I have a 2014 titan with over 300k miles and its still going strong. Most reliable vehicle I've ever owned.
That’s awesome!
@@the_next_adventure ment to say it's a 2004. First gen.
My nissan Titan V8 naturally aspirated engine is king 🤴 of gas powered trucks! I Love my 2012 Titan and I am going take great care of her! 🎉😊 Car makers just dont make them like they used to anymore 😕
That’s for sure!
NOOOOOOOOO I ABSOLUTELY HATE THAT IDEA EVERYONE ELSE IS GOING TWIN TURBO V6 IN THE FULL SIZE TRUCKS AND ITS A DUMB ASS IDEA IM SO IRRITATED WITH THESE STUPID PEOPLE WHO BUILD THESE JUNKIE THINGS IM SICK OF IT IM STICKING WITH OLDER TRIDE AND TRUE STUFF IM DONE
STOP WITH THE STUPUD V6s WITH TURBOS this is not what we want
Good choices!!
Interesting thought!
Thank you
I have a 2023 Platinum Reserve and would not take any competitor for it. Upgraded from a 2021 SV. It is a great truck and a superb tow vehicle for our RV. I have owned Chevy and Ram trucks before and the Titan is the best, not to mention the best warranty in the industry.
Give me a hybrid V8! Love my 2017 and virtually no problems at 116k miles.
What trans issues are you experiencing?
@@the_next_adventure "slams" into first gear when stopping...hard up shifts into 2nd...Nissan says they can't find anything wrong, plus multiple cruise control issues...same transmission issue reported on multiple post boards...none of my other Titans did this...only has 15K miles but luckily there is a 5 year 100,000 mile warranty...
I’m looking for a Titan for my line of work (Storm Damage Expert)
It’s a good choice!
get roll bars they are pretty light weight for being a v8
I truly hope they DO NOT go the "engine downsize" route and definitely NO EV's!
Give us the v8 twin turbo and an updated interior and numbers will go up
And so would the price!
Nissan would have a kill shot with a de bored/stroked v8 maybe around 4 liters, twin turbo and CGI block. I know, it’ll never happen. But Nissan knows how to build a great V8 and it will be sad if it’s gone forever.
That they do. Just frustrating they never worked to promote the Titan.
I think Nissan could build a halo truck. That Warrior concept with that V6 and maybe a hybrid could compete with the Raptor type of truck. But thats a pipe dream though. That GTR engine in a Frontier would be sik!
I'll never trade my Titan Pro-4X but a Frontier with GTR engine would be nasty!
I hope to buy a new titan before the year is up.
Definitely should!
Personally i want the x terra to come back
But small like the original.
It's coming in 2026 I believe. Loved my 08 X-Terra
Still love my 2014 Pro4x. She is still solid (little rust and I live in the rust belt) and has had little major issue. Looking for the unicorn XD Pro4x in a 2nd gen. Will hand down the 2014 to my daughter if I can find one.
Why not the 3.8v6 with SUPERCHARGER? Much more reliable than turbo.
150k strong on a 17 Plat. 😀 still runs like new. With every oil change about 3k to 4k
I have a 2015 nissan titan sv crew cab wont get rid of my truck almost 70,000 miles an its a beast on the road an off road an hauling
Awesome!!
Nissan needs to keep their V8 aspirated engine.
I have a 2014 Titan LE and its a great truck .
They need to look at the tundra and how the v6 twin turbo doesn’t work as well as they thought and they need to keep the v8 just beef up the chassis!
Love my 2021 Pro4x. Great
Great truck!
How many are coming from the Toyota Tacoma or Tundra to Nissan trucks, now?
I’d be interested to know!
What say... " Keep the Titan".
only thing i don't like about my 2020 titan is the hesitation when you get on the gas pedal
Minded the same thing, haven't reflashed? It won't cost enoughing at the dealership
So the previous gen titans had a wide open throttle restriction from factory and to me it feels like the same thing only worse since the engine is even more powerful can be eliminated through tuning
@@SVstank will dealership tune it?
Hear me out, vr38dett in the new titan? Then a nismo titan warrior with the vk56 and harrop super charger!
Love it
I highly doubt they would restart production on a full size truck.
Nissan Frontier Warrior with stick!
The dodge 1500 with the 3.6 has plenty of power as would the titan with the 3.8
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Turbo technology has been around and mainstream for while they are not hard to work on just an extra bit if steps.
Turbo technology has been around and mainstream for while they are not hard to work on just an extra bit if steps.
I only get 400hp in my '23 Pro 4x. This engine sounds nice, but Ram has a new turbo 6 cylinder with 500 hp.
I think the Titan 5.6 will last longer than the turbo 6 banger.
@@kc-6837 several times longer.
Turbos will always provide more “power” but turbos average life span is 150k miles and $2k plus to replace. Naturally Aspirated engines are simple pure power without bolt on turbos to wear out.
@@aharris728 Sad to see the V-8 on the extinction list.
@jeanclaude7018 No doubt.
Im new to Titans and I will stay with them until they drop. Plz keep it in service, or bring it back looking sicK AF. Plz no turbo.
Thanks for checking in!
I plan on having my titan for 30 years.
Turbo v6 would make mo sense than going away
I’d prefer a v8 but they already have 2 stout turbo 6 platforms they could pull from.
I've owned a titan and armada. Loved both. If they change the engine, I'll never buy another one. Or a used one only with the 5.7
Yeah im a Nissan got myself I have the 2019 Nissan frontier King cab brand new when I got it love that truck 2.5 I did a lot of stuff to it. But it would be crazy if they used the the V6 in the new frontier in just twin turbocharged it
The best trucks of large history come from JApan and Nissan not joking, im sure they come back with legendary v6 and more tech and new mad face for that name.
I’ll be getting a 24 titan at the end of the year. Last of the V8s
Heck yeah!
I bought a 2024 Titan Midnight Edition in charcoal grey out the door for $46k, i love it!
@@nathanshaw428 Good Choice!
I hope so… need more truck options
Most Americans that drive pickups buy fords 2nd Chevy, less GMC and RAM, I think Toyota benefited more after Nissan stopped the Titan
I hope they keep it simple don’t Change a think motor trans are perfect do not add stop start crap keep it the same
I agree
I wanna see a twin turbo V8 in this one they can get the MPG in it if they do it right, just tune it up right and take they time marketing it
Turbo destroys engines. You won't get 300,000 miles in one. Keep the V8 Endurance. Upgrade the interior
You have to reach out to nissan and push them to build it
what does mileage matter when it costs a dollar more per gallon of gas because you have to run premium because it has a turbo... It's a wash. I'll stick with my 23 a and a v8.
You should be running premium anyway. You’re not?
Lets get the XTerra back first, then we can work on the Titan👍
The Titan is already here… let’s just keep it and bring the Xterra back!
Nissan needs to partner with yanmar. The best diesel engine manufacturer in a titan xd would be a great truck
Probably a good idea if 2024 wasn’t the last year of the titan
@@the_next_adventure I agree just wishful thinking 😂 maybe get 1,000s of people to petition it or get a lot of people calling both companies recommending it
If they do away with the V8, don’t bother bringing it back.
The frontier is seeing increased sales because people don't want the turbo. Automakers can't sell EVs. The stupidity of all this is not driven by market demand but by government mandates. I can understand why Nissan is making these moves and it's sad.
how bout grow a pair nissan and go with a 6.6 L v8 n/a
If they bring the Titan back without a NA V8, Titan buyers wont want it. We dont buy the Titan for fuel mileage.
It's not just fuel mileage. Its power, torque and the ability to modify that makes a turbo attractive.
Tightening EPA and CAFE standards drive this market more than customer demand does.
Indeed. The demand for the shift is nearly nonexistent
Nissan and Mitsubishi making a ev and a pluggl in hybrid 1-ton truck
A rechargeable
truck is of no interest to me. Rechargeable anything other than hand tools is a non starter.
I love the Titan, but unfortunately, I think it’s gone forever .
I fear you’re right
