2:13 My son will wake up to this. It’s his 18th birthday. I was driving to my boyfriends on my 18th birthday in 1994 when I heard this for the first time my parents gave me so much trouble they didn’t like them. I couldn’t wait to be an adult, but like it says baby brain old man’s heart I think everyone can relate with that. My son is scared wouldn’t you be at 18 these days but this one right here will clear everything up.
just class. saw him do his theater stageshow a couple of years back and he's still at the very top of his game. It might be 50 yrs old but for me this is Timeless.
I turn 60 tomorrow. It never stopped hitting. I don't think that's a mistake; I don't recall lines on my face and hands when I was 18. I don't recall the left and right being as important to me then as they are now. I'm still in the middle of doubt.
My son is going to wake up today because he turned 18. He’s going to see I sent this to him. I know he never heard it first time I ever heard it was one of the day I turned 18 of driving to my boyfriend‘s house parents were just jerks about me being with him. This song makes so much sense it is legendary.
There Is More to Alice Cooper Than Many Realize. He Dares To Go Where Others Don't. He Gets People To A Reality That Others Speak Of In Hushed Conversations. The Boldness Is Exactly What Is Needed.
[Verse 1] Lines form on my face and hands Lines form from the ups and downs I'm in the middle without any plans I'm a boy and I'm a man [Chorus 1] I'm eighteen, and I don't know what I want Eighteen, I just don't know what I want Eighteen, I gotta get away I gotta get out of this place, I'll go runnin in outer space, oh yeah [Verse 2] I got a baby's brain and an old man's heart Took eighteen years to get this far Don't always know what I'm talkin' about Feels like I'm livin' in the middle of doubt [Chorus 2] 'Cause I'm eighteen I get confused everyday Eighteen, I just don't know what to say Eighteen, I gotta get away [Bridge] Lines form on my face and my hands Lines form on the left and right I'm in the middle, the middle of life I'm a boy and I'm a man [Outro] I'm eighteen and I like it Yes I like it, oh I like it, love it, like it, love it Eighteen, Eighteen! Eighteen, eighteen and I like it
I can't believe I just heard this song for the first time ever last week and I'm discovering this song at 45 lol smh took 27 years to find my 18 yr old self again..🤟
I was backstage at an Alice Cooper Concert. At around the age of 18. This was in Mississippi. I was with this dude Jimmy of whom was a part of Showco Productions. Me? I was given a Showco Genesis tee-shirt. I was backstage glancing at the cute keyboard player. With flowers in my hair. At this point in time, Alice Cooper and band did not know of whom Genesis were. Anyway, Jimmy and I were invited to the Alice Cooper after party, though we decided not to attend.
I’m 47! My birthday at 18 is when I was driving to my boyfriend’s house. My parents are giving me trouble. They didn’t like them this and that and I got off the exit and this song came on for the first time, but not the first time first time I heard it, and it was exactly how I was feeling and when he said, and I like it, I just got this huge rush like a natural rush. We can all go back no matter how old we are we only short lived on this planet. This song is an epic. This will if we keep it up this is a legendary song I don’t think there’s any 18-year-old that wouldn’t agree to that he’s gonna wake up in the morning at 18 years old and comforted because he’s a boy and a man because he scared! He knows he sees the struggles that people are going through trying to survive. I couldn’t wait to be 18 I wouldn’t be 18 again but 18+18 is 36 so I’ve lived at two years, and in another 10 years it will be three years. I turned 18 and I love it. 1:59 2:12 2:16
22 and loving all the eighteen years olds relating to this song in the comments just like I did. You're gonna be my age and cringe your ass off at yourself but enjoy it haha life comes fast!
🎉🎉🎉🎉❤ I am 47 and I’ll never forget the first time I heard this song I turned 18. I was driving to my boyfriends house. My parents always give me trouble they didn’t like him. All I wanted was to be 18 so this is the first time I heard the song! The Rush when he said I’m 18 I like it, it was unbelievable like none of it was just totally natural. Don’t be afraid of a number because we are not here on this planet. Everybody is older than you knows exactly how it feels to be 18 there are gonna be so many lives within your life from this time forward, but it flies.
2:08 2:16 I’m 47 and I still don’t know what I want other than peace. Peace of mind but I know what I want right now and I did it. I just sent it to my sons Snapchat because he turned 18 today.❤❤❤❤
It's probably a good thing because you'll still have goals. Once you get everything you want and you're still unhappy, that's when the real life crises begin.
Alice Cooper is one of the biggest fans of The Beatles. Like me, he was a child when he first heard one of their songs and he said, "It changed something in my brain!" They took from everything before them and made something new. I love Alice, but keeping things in perspective is part of music. I saw him 3 times when I was young and I'm glad he's still going strong.
I'm 34 going on 35 and I can tell you that Alice Cooper says is true because when you turn 18 you're technically an adult but at the same time you're not just don't do the things that I did cuz I had the best 10 years of my life and now I'm paying for it

I know he says “I’m a boy and I’m a man” but I played this today on my daughter’s 18th birthday. I think she resonated with the lyrics.

The Ballad of Dwight Fry is a good example.
Listening to this as 18 years old and i enjoyyyyyyyyy ittttttttt
32 and this song is still relatable
[Verse 1]
Lines form on my face and hands
Lines form from the ups and downs
I'm in the middle without any plans
I'm a boy and I'm a man
[Chorus 1]
I'm eighteen, and I don't know what I want
Eighteen, I just don't know what I want
Eighteen, I gotta get away
I gotta get out of this place, I'll go runnin in outer space, oh yeah
[Verse 2]
I got a baby's brain and an old man's heart
Took eighteen years to get this far
Don't always know what I'm talkin' about
Feels like I'm livin' in the middle of doubt
[Chorus 2]
'Cause I'm eighteen
I get confused everyday
Eighteen, I just don't know what to say
Eighteen, I gotta get away
[Bridge]
Lines form on my face and my hands
Lines form on the left and right
I'm in the middle, the middle of life
I'm a boy and I'm a man
[Outro]
I'm eighteen and I like it
Yes I like it, oh I like it, love it, like it, love it
Eighteen, Eighteen!
Eighteen, eighteen and I like it
Seriously?
