- Airbrush Portraits made easy for beginners is a step by step guide on painting a portrait that simplifies the process to help beginners develop their basic skills and confidence.
Using the method of starting on a mid tone background, very commonly used by master artists such as Leonardo Da Vinci and even modern day airbrush artists such as Air, Oil and Lead. This removes the hesitation anyone might have of working on white and try to get things perfect right off the bat. Once the black is then painted in the portrait is half finished with only the white highlights remaining.

ty
I take it that as I heard no mention of needle or nozzle change, I will be able to do this with my Iwata Eclips with a 0.3 nozzle and needle ???????////
excelent
Thank you!
Very cool ! Haven't you got any blue shift , when adding white ? And how do you get the skin textures ?🎉🎉
Glad you enjoyed the video and great question! Blueshift is only an issue when using white over warm-colored skin tones but black and grey generally have a fair amount of blue in them already so its not an issue in this instance. Part 2 is up if you look at all the videos on the channel.
Thanks a lot mate .
Can u give link to that exact greyscale paper. That wound make my life easier as my sight isn't great. You are awesome. Thanks
Yeah sure no problem, I'm just take my son on a fishing trip for the day but will upload it when I get back in the afternoon.
The link for the greyscale I used is here: www.mschangart.com/uploads/1/3/4/5/13451990/4727723.jpg?661
If you also need a drawing thats easier to see when you paint your grey over it then let me know and I'll make one for you.
Hi I have badger sotar and collection of your inks and Indian so I don't know what do i paint on paper type
or gesso board thank you.
Hi David, the badger sotar is a very nice airbrush and give you alot more control for doing nice portraits. For this painting you can use 300gsm paper or if you happy to spend a little bit more money then gesso board is also very nice to paint on. Part two of this video will also be released tomorrow.
Do the marks seem after the gray or I
can't see them?
After you paint the Gray sometimes the lines can be hard to see so what you can do is put it up on a Window or a teacing light box and mark the lines again with a pencil.
New sub. Thanks for the google sheets. May I know which app did you use to create the outline? the Paint Sheet one? thanks in advance.
Thanks for subscribing Mary and hope the sheets in the google like are useful to you. I actually do mine manually in photoshop or Inkscape. I've never tried using an App before, that is such a great suggestion!!
Phil Collins album cover.
I had to quickly look that up but yeah it is very similar! You could use the the 'Focal values' album cover to paint something similar and the 'but seriously" cover would be great for a colour version which I will save for later.
Thanks for the suggestion and now I have something to listen to today as well!
