The old saying, "People that can't....teach" does not apply to Rob in any way, shape, or form! An amazing artist plus the heart and patience of a true teacher. Thank you for taking the time to share with us!
😊😊 some people love chemicals or alcohol on a sat night to get there fixes, i just love watching dred fx for my buzz thankyou mate , yet again cracking vid bro well done 👍
I really like these full length videos! The real time work and hearing your thoughts as you work I think are more informative to me. Not sure about what everyone else thinks? Keep up the great work!
Your welcome glad you liked it there's plenty more coming up on the channel it means alot to get The feedback from you guys and support with the channel so thank you 👍
Fantastic Video! The knowledge you provide to your audience is second to none. I would have paid a lot of money to have had these videos when I started.
Hi Rob, for me is very important to use destilled water not tap water because contain a lot of scale. Some times I use 70% destilled water, 30% alcohol of 70 grades, and few drops of liquid vaselin, it works perfectly
Absolutely amazing piece of artwork. I would love to think I could get the same out of my Infinity..You may of heard this saying before, but when I once said to my art tutor. “It is difficult to know when a piece of work is completed” He replied. “My boy, art is never finished, merely abandoned!”
Well that started off my Sunday real good Seeing as I'm up an hour earlier it was great to see something worked in real time for a change. Nicely done mate 👌
FANTASTIC!!! Thoroughly enjoyed this real time tutorial. Informative and inspiring. Trying hard to learn to paint at such low psi with such thin paint. I’ll get there. This video is helping tremendously. Thank you brother 👍
Dred, for me, you are the best airbrush teacher I have ever seen. You can explain so well that even a beginner will understand. Your videos are great to watch.
Nice work Rob, making it look easy :) I havent picked up my airbrush for a long time but im thinking about it. I have a pic to finish that has taken about 8 years too long lol
Hey Dred. I'm going to the prestigious Dru Blair School of Realism in Sept through Oct in South Carolina, USA. I got Dru's Custom Iwata Custom Micron too! It's a custom version of the Custom Micron. Don't know if you ever heard of Dru Blair but he's the guy that actually worked with Createx to develop the Illustration Colors line.
This pin-up is wonderful, but I doubt this is the ideal subject for a complete beginner (like me). I was much more comfortable to choose less precise and more forgiving references, like an African mask or a Balinese face of a monster... But thanks so much for this lesson!
Hi where do you get the black shields used in your videos mate? .. I’ve been using procreate and now going to challenge myself in what you’re doing .i love watching your videos they are very inspirational😃.
Great instructional video, I learned a lot from watching you paint. The artwork is awesome! What size paper did you paint on? Could you have achieved the level of detail that you demonstrated in this painting with your Takumi Eclipse?
One of your best tutorials Rob. Just shows what can be achieved without Gesso or erasers. You mention your art programme - what do you use? Can you give the link for the image? And a Happy Easter bud.

Brilliant artwork and tutorial! Thanks. Maybe try the 4011 reducer in place of the alcohol as it contains propylene glycol, which enhances the flow.

I took 6 classes from Dru going to the Mucha class in October

I tried this ink recipe, but I got an awful lot of tip dry. I am just past total beginner, with and a Iwata Eclipse.
Tip dry will always happen it's one of those things us airbrushers have to deal with 🙄
Prefer this to time lapse .👍

You can make stencils out of old x-ray films. They will last forever because they're made to hold up against chemicals.
