I subscribed to that channel because you referenced it in a previous video. I've never been satisfied with the quality of content on their channel (but I also don't consume a lot of their content) and found myself to be slightly repulsed by empathic/emotionally sensitive tone, but that's a quality I can tolerate. Psych2Go is like a Cartoon Network, oh wait its also exactly that in the presentation, honestly I find there videos are unethical in light of their lack of deeper rigor and the audience that they have, that’s just a quirk in my personality matrix that operates analogously in many other areas. At the same time that I highlight I’m not a sociopath by expressing that, I also feel a tendency simultaneously within me to not think I’m better than them even though I usually do have my personality matrix setup in a way like many others where there is that “if this” (I.e. sociopath/related) “then that” (how do they even have a meaning for existing and finding greater continuity for their higher existence). And anyone that does believe themselves to be better I think that’s actually a diagnostic criterion for narcissism haha. If I have anything against the construct of sociopathy is that it’s just so incredibly culturally loaded the more objective we want to be and I already judge western culture as an “object” as if it were itself a sociopath, I have no respect for our consumer society which is itself a sociopathic narrative that allows its perpetuation. From this lens, to me it just looks like consumer society is a cult and one of its sociopathic tools for manipulation as cults do is they label rebels as sociopaths. Putting that aside, I have zero clinical experience and two, it seems to me like no doubt even if I’m 100% correct in what I’ve expressed, sociopathy and antisocial personality, borderline personality and narcissistic personality disorder are no doubt correlated. Meaning given how long the construct has been around it’s no doubt got some validity, I’m just a stickler for exactness and it fails many of my tests. On a practical note, the only thing I really care about is empathy and testing for empathy as you rightly talk about, which I would say is inclusive of emotional range but not emotional range exclusively, I have been fooled once, but now I take that learning experience moving forward. It’s that I have been fooled that also makes me that much more of a stickler. I still have a lot of naivety to also get rid of, I’m the kind of guy that can spend a whole week contemplating a moral dilemma while in that same week, perhaps right at the end of a work week, accidentally hand my keys over to a guy that steals my car and it’s the fifth car his stolen that week and for him internally it’s as commonplace as the sun rising the next morning. Meaning the myriad of alternate ways in which people live their lives and perhaps even find significant meaning from those ways sometimes becomes our Achilles heel, our blind spot, where we’re naive about the world by superimposing our projections onto how we believe it “ought” to be or even worse falsely believe that because you’re like this so are others, because you strive for fairness and have good sportsmanship, then so will others. The truth is, there isn’t really a consensus of what Primary Psychopathy is because there have never been any cases reported of people born devoid of empathy and engaging in criminal offenses, hence the reason why it’s not recognized by the DSM manual. Instead what we have in it’s place is ASPD, but those types of people are a product of extensive abuse or brain injury during childhood rather than being born that way.
You’re referring to Primary Psychopathy and Sociopathy. That’s something that’s been heavily stigmatized by other mental health channels but the truth is, there isn’t really an agreed scientific consensus on what Psychopathy actually is because there have been no cases of individuals being born devoid of emotion and engaging in cr*minal offenses because of it. Most people who did had ASPD but they were a product of society rather than being born that way. That’s why Psychopathy isn’t recognized under the DSM and why we have ASPD in it’s place as it’s similar but they’re not the same thing.

Dennehy was very manipulative especially with the big fella (her side-kick sadly) and other males, whether by way of sex or other means. And her diagnosis was and still is, as far as I know ASPD. This diagnosis comes from some specialists in the field of psychiatric and psychological health, and forensic psychologists. One is Dr David Wilson (I believe that is his name) he does a lot of evaluations on many crime shows and in his personal career too, of course. That is just one that I enjoy watching. My memory is quite terrible at the moment. I also enjoyed Trevor McDonald and his interviews and shows on the USA dearh penalty cases. Please don't be offended as that is most definitely not my intention. I've just had a keen interest in these fields for quite a long time. I have actually always followed your good self since you began. And I'm quite saddened that your channel hasn't received a lot more subscribers and views. Not to mention he also said that if an ASPD person was manipulative, then they would be considered a sociopath, but it’s to my understanding that they’re generally considered the same thing. “Sociopathy” is just a layman’s way of explaining it but otherwise, they’re describing the same issues. So the explanations in this video are a bit weird.

What would you say about a child (8+) who seems to lack empathy, is very manipulative, impulsive, ill-tempered (has a history of being physically aggressive), lies a lot, etc? Can children be diagnosed with APD, or are their brains simply not developed enough to be able to properly diagnose them because those behaviours have a lot of opportunity to change?
To be fair, I followed my doctors recommendations for my type 2 diabetes and it just got worse. I started researching on my own, including youtube, and I reversed it in under 6 months.
If you think of Diabetes as a carbohydrate intolerance, it should help. I found Dr Westman and Dr Ken Berry were the the most helpful. I reduced my daily carbohydrate intake to less than 20g of TOTAL carbs daily and tried to make sure I got at least 30 minutes of walking per day, and it brought my glucose right down. I'm now as close to zero carbs as is practical by eating nothing but meat and eggs and it's keeping my glucose levels in check brilliantly 🙂Good luck on your journey, wherever it leads you.@@thequietintrovert8605

Dr Daz picked a poor example there, I've known 2 people how have reversed diabetes with diet. Unfortunately there's no money for big pharma in a dietary cure.
I've always had hard time answering these questions. like *lack of empathy*, what type of empathy, all types or towards humans, if so what group. familie, friends, strangers? Like i hope i have empathy i think, but being honest, if its not an animal or a familie member, i could not give less of a fuck about you. is that lack of empathy or is that just a "survival instinct", focusing on taking care / familie members stay safe, than feeling sorry for random people.

Just an opinion or an observation on my part. It appears that mental wellness has been on a marked decline over the last decade.
