I wonder if the defence attorney was smart enough to play prosecutor cross-examination with her. What did she think his anger level would be when she let him out the next day? From my understanding the deal was for 15 yrs. She already served 5 which would leave 10. They only do 85% of their time in Florida, which would be 8.5 years. That would have been a sweet deal and she is crazy for not taking it. I honestly think she may get a life sentence. She is so arrogant--thinks she's a great student, thinks she is smarter than her lawyers, smarter than the Judge, so intelligent. This arrogance is what is going to make her go down in flames.

I wonder if the defence attorney was smart enough to play prosecutor cross-examination with her. What did she think his anger level would be when she let him out the next day? As you point out what would she have said if asked if she thought he could get out when she went up to bed? Why did she not call the police if she was so afraid instead of hitting him with a bat? From my understanding the deal was for 15 yrs. She already served 5 which would leave 10. They only do 85% of their time in Florida, which would be 8.5 years. That would have been a sweet deal and she is crazy for not taking it. I honestly think she may get a life sentence. She is so arrogant--thinks she's a great student, thinks she is smarter than her lawyers, smarter than the Judge, so intelligent. This arrogance is what is going to make her go down in flames.
