I like to use a bit of burley when I anchor up and I have never found a bucket that I really like.
One of the boys had an old stainless steel something-or-other that they didn’t want. When I saw it, I recognised the makings of my ideal burley bucket.
I have no idea what it was to start with, but I have turned it into exactly what I want, with the help of a couple of extra bits and a little work.

Used the old brown paper bag to get down past the vermin to get to the better fish when I used to go outside a lot. Also used it for burley so sounds like we come from the same school of fishing. Really enjoy your videos which are both informative and well put together. We must of fished near each other at sometime over the years so when I can get back to fishing again I’ll definitely say g’day next time I see you now I know your boat. All the best 👍

Thank you. Yes, the brown paper bag and a rock method works well. Hope you can get back out soon. See you on the water.

add a zinc anode will serve 2 purposes. add weight and help stop corrosion.

Not sure, could be anything, but you might be on the right track, it does kind of look like the inside of a filter of some sort.
