Also wondering easy/cheap way for reverse electro plating. Without acids, I saw maybe 3 videos on web/utube with ppl using 12v DC power supply or 12v DC automotive battery charger, a beaker or big thick plastic container. Then a strip of metal (forget type, with lead clamped to one side in solution. Then other side, I believe it's the positive (+) lead attached to piece of copper. Then pins ormetal w/ gold on it dipped in solution with power supply on. And it removes very fast, the gold. Think it's hci 35% (muratic/pool acid?) Or water. )

Can you do same method for removing the mask on PCBs, for ribbon cables?
(Submerge PCBs in water with 100% Lye - 1 cup. I use a very thick piece of glassware from household common items. Then I use induction heat/hot plate (electric, no flame). Heat for awhile. Use chemical rated gloves to elbow, 7 - 25 ml rubber. And toothbrushes at 1st, hard & soft bristle to scrubbing green/,red/yellow masking off of PCBs. Then I put PCBs in an stainless steel cooking pot of hot water with oldúsed lye/caustic soda and boil until glued copper sheets, release from fiber PCBs. So I can scrap as much products as I can from each piece/s. I'm pretty broke, no acids, and rely mainly on dumpster diving and donation. )

Do you have a video describe what all chemicals you use, what are called (like water-H20, muratic - hci, AP - muratic & hydrogen peroxide). And how to make chemicals I can't buy? So likely to be more copper than gold but what percentage do you think of that little nugget is gold? Would you call it effectively enquarted (25%=6karat) and ready to be parted by a nitric acid boil to remove all the base metals (after you increase the surface area by remelting and pouring it into shallow water) leaving just the gold ready to be dissolved one last time in aqua regia for the final refining to 24-karat

@@seanwow4329 Hi Seanwow go to 10:55 and 10:56 where he is holding it in his hand. Notice the rough appearance. I have text books by Charles Butler who taught torch assaying based on the Texts of Shepherd ( early 1900s)and Dietric. They examined the effects of Palladium, Platinum and Rhodium on a gold or silver bead. Platinum will give a Soccer ball appearance, Pd and Rh impart a tiny dimples that give it a frosted appearance. A pure Silver bead is very smooth , but may sprout shoots of silver when cooling. Gold is ultra smooth glossy and does not sprout. A PGM may be alloyed with gold or silver to help it resist heat , and impart hardness.

I see you have a lot of questions. Best way is to watch the videos. Take notes and build your knowledge one piece at a time. If you have IC chips to process then watch all the videos on that subject you can find. Take notes and look at the equipment they use and get the best equipment you can manage. Do one job at a time, learn from it, then move on to the next one. You can't learn everything at once.
Watch the videos which helps these guys to make more, hit LIKE on each video and subscribe to a few channels. It all helps.
And the white powder I think you are asking about is SMB, sodium metabisulphite, which "drops" the gold at the end. Some people leave it until the solution is clear, some leave it overnight. It is a food type product, used to sterilise kitchen equipment, get it from internet or a local restaurant supplier.
I hope this helps. Hope you get plenty gold sir. 🤓🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👍🥇
