After a year of flying, I finally crashed the Mavic, tried to bend back the vibration mount that seems to be made of some lighter than a feather alien metal, lol , snapped instead of bending, anywho, repaired it with lil jb weld and small piece of aluminum can, BAMM ! In the air with no jello at all. Thanks , your vid gave me a lil confidence to open this complicated thing up.......for the first time. I’m still going to order part , saw it’s cheap enough online. Happy flying
Nice video. Saved my drone! 3:23 you're pointing at the wrong set of screws. Just FYI, the correct screws are all have a round top, not flat. They're also a bit more polished and light grey, rather than black ones nearby. Also, they're all close to the surface, not buried. I wanted to let you all know before I stripped one and thought it was all over until i turned the mavic around and saw the silver end of the screws on the gimbal plate.
Thank you so much. Broke my drone the exact same way. At first I was overwhelmed with how many things I had to take apart. This video was really helpful. Btw the black substance is silicon, pretty cheap to buy. My only recommendation to anyone is to get a long 1.5mm hex screwdriver. Mine was short and kept clanking against the body of the drone, added probably 20% more time. Also, even if you think you remember everything, take pictures all along the way, and try to line up the screws the same way you took them out on the table. Really helps, because it is easy to get disoriented or forget some screws when reassembling. Thanks again!!
Thank you so much for this thorough and detailed video. It helped give me the confidence to successfully tear my Mavic apart and replace the vibration plate. Did you ever have issues with either of the two front collision avoidance connectors coming loose, since you didn't glue them back down?

Upon removal of the broken plate, I discovered that the ribbon cable from the gimbal to the circuit board is severed. Does that mean the whole unit is trashed? Should I bother sending it into DJI, or should a just buy a new gimbal camera assembly on Amazon for $250?
Question... if I replace the gimbal board is it true that it has to be calibrated from the factoryfor the specific camera it attaches too? Or can I just replace it and calibrate the Gimbal and it be fine?
@@TheA8W12 sweet. Thanks man. Yeah I sent mine in for warranty and found out that it's only 6 months for gimbal..... they said that that gimbal arm module needed to be replaced... which is what the board is. so I can do it a lot cheaper myself told them to send it back!
Hello ! My Mavic is with an error 1112. I can't activate it to fly. Suport DJi said he can't activate it because they reported it as a transport robbery, I was tricked by a salesman, I lost my money. Do you think if I change the logic board this problem can be solved? Thank you!
