I agree with that... every now and again you can see it... There have also been times that I thought it was sad because it seemed like Lizzie was being honest with Vera and Vera started to open up and soften toward Lizzie... only to find out that Lizzie was using her, which only pissed Vera off more. I mean I think Lizzie sometimes tries to play Vera but I think some of it is real. Not sure if its meant to look that way or not. But I think that is why I admire both the actresses and their portrayal of those 2 characters, They give them depth.. These are 2 characters that I actually like better in this version vs Wentworth.... Bea, and Frankie are characters that I can't pick a fav because I like both... they are so different from each other.

Could be, something to do with being down under compared to the people who live in the north. Even in places like England Canada etc you can stay in the sun all summer but the sun is not as damaging.
Here in England people never wear sunscreen unless you're spending all day at the beach in summer. But just walking around? No. The sun isn't usually strong enough. Probably the same in Canada and New Zealand.
Meg's a bit harsh, Jim went to her house to save her, fought off a crazed professional killer wielding a broken bottle who was forcing himself on her, and all she can do is moan at Jim. What could he have done that she'd actually have approved of?
He wasn't credited in this episode but Detective Sargent Little was played by Anthony Hawkins who would later play Bob Morris. The irony is that he was with the actress who would become his wife, in the scene where he questioned Lizzie about her wages. :D

Lizzie talks as if she has been locked up most her life. Turns out she only went to Wentworth prison at the age of 51. Really do think a spin off, even after all these years of Lizzie Birdsworth during her early life as a young woman in Australia during the 1920's would be a great series.

Loved the funeral sequence. I got goosebumps when the preacher recited the Lord's prayer and spoke of Christ rising from the dead and David being returned to the ground from which he came.
Useless fact: Cornelia Frances's uncle was the very famous movie director Michael Powell (Peeping Tom, Red Shoes, Black Narcissus). She's playing Pat's lawyer in this episode.
Peeping Tom is a great movie but too much for the audience (and critics) of the time. It absolutely killed Powell's career stone dead. If he'd released it just a couple years later, he'd have been ok as the genre had moved up a gear by then.
Ahh , lizzy running back to hug dr miller. What a touching scene. I’ve watched and re watched over and over, aswell as watching it back in the 80’s. I liked dr miller with Meg . I wished he’d stayed on for longer
hi everyone,,,,, the scene where meg jackson and lizzie birdsworth are in the corridor...when meg locks the gate and lizzie looks through the bars...did anyone notice the gate moved and lizzie pushes it back,,, I did have a giggle at that,, we get so engrossed in this programme that we forget its from the 80s when sets were made from next to nothing, you know what I mean,,, the solid wall moves when a door is shut,,, it does not stop me from enjoying this blast from the past,, thankyou for sharing this with us fans..👍👍

Maybe we'll see Lizzie since she's moving in with Doreen (hope so) ya know watching this show you get very attached to the characters.But this show surprises you and older characters do sometimes return.

Vera could be horrible but she wasn't evil or bent. There are no real 'baddies' at this stage in Prisoner.
