We are Oskar & Dan, two boys from Sweden who decided to change the course of our lives, drop out of university and live life full-time. We're planning to visit every country in the world before we're 30 with an initial goal of 100 before the end of 2022. By the time of posting this video, we're both 24 :)
Brazil was country #80/197🌍
We started our trip in São Paulo before heading down to Iguazu Falls and the Paraguay city of Ciudad Del Este. From there, we flew up to the "original" capital Salvador da Bahia and spent a few days on the local island Ilha Itaparica. We then finished the trip with a week in the fascinating world-famous city of Rio de Janeiro. All in all, our three weeks in Brazil were a blast and we can't wait to return!

Thank you for watching!🙏😍
Loving this Brazil revelation…busted some of my preconceived ideas of the country.
We're happy to hear that!
So many people around the world has the same "problem" when they thinking about Brazil, I really like your comment because show's how important these videos are.
Sorry, I can't help but say: come to Brazil! 😂
Brazil is one of the most interesting and dynamic countries to visit. It's eye-opening.
Let me guess what you had in mind: slums, violence and people destroying forests. West and the stereotypes they create from the rest of the world 😅
Salvador is amazing! Colors, beachs, culture, history, music, dance and the people... All about Salvador is matchless!
Afro Brazilian culture too!
Wellcome men...
Lovely video. Good to see Salvador again.
Keep the good work.

Thanks Marcos!
Salvador is a majority Black Afro Brazilian city. The culture there is completely different than most places in Brazil. Lived there for a year in high school. Miss it so much
Definitely breaking down my preconceived notions of what Brazil is like... Nice job Oskar and Dan 👍🏻😎 Maybe I should redeem some points to get down there...
Is this your pre conceived notion of Brazil, or a little more breaking of it?

hey, I'm brazilian and If you want to talk about salvador, reach out
Can't wait for the next ones in the series 😀
And if you go back to Brazil in the future you can't miss Ouro Preto, it's really beautiful!
Thank you Francis💗💗
Great sugestion! Minas Gerais state have a lot of good options: montains, history, preserved sites, good food, nature. Well, I'm from São Paulo but my soul is Minas Gerais :)
I love Ouro Preto! I was there for Carnaval once and it was amazing!
Not only Ouro Preto but also Tiradentes and Diamantina in my lovely state of Minas Gerais! So Beautiful like Salvador da Bahia! Greetings from Berlin in Germany 🖐🏼

Aqui fora infelizmente a fama do Brasil é péssima.
Ajuda muuuito.
Salvador is absolutely amazing ! I need to go there !
Such a cool city!
Yes, Latam is our biggest aviation company AND it is a mess, so you got that right. 😂
"Havaianas are super pricey outside of Brazil" You know we gotta make those dollars, hennyyyy hahaha
Açaí + granola + banana slices = ❤
Latam is a open capital company in Chile stock Market. It is not Brazilian anymore. The biggest is Gol but the most brazilian is Azul because they valorize the country and use a lot of Embraer airplanes.
I’m Brazilian and I LOVE to see foreign people getting to actually know the beautiful country Brazil is…. not just showing some wrong stereotypes that I’m sick of. Brazil is hugeee, go to “Bonito” and Amazonia rain forest next time, trust me, you’re not gonna regret hahah Bom diaaaaa, amei vocês

Fantastiskt! Du kommer älska Rio😍
Awesome job you guys
São Salvador is indeed a very beautiful city that we brazilians really have a special feeling for.
If Rio de Janeiro is our most well known city, Housing the best our country has to offer, with its sophisticated culture to the sound Samba and Bossa Nova, surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the Sugar loaf, the Corcovado, and the world's most beautiful harbor..
Salvador is a much more genuine side of Brazil, with its 18th century old Sobrados, the Sincere nature of the baiano, the old and more traditional Samba music, and the delicious sweets that only the Bahianas knows how to make. Salvador is the most important Historic city in Brazil. Salvador is known as the City of Churches, because there are that many churches in the city, some dating back to the 16th century. You can visit 1 Church for every day of the Year in Salvador and there will still be some left.

one of the most adorable videos I've seen about Brazil, I'm brazilian and baiana (born in bahia), if you liked Salvador I highly recommend a visit to Chapada Diamantina, it's in the center of bahia and has many waterfalls, rivers, lakes and caves, so so beautiful. So much love for you guys from Bahia ❤🥰
It's very interesting for finding out about previously unknown cities.. Thank you for the positive energy ❤😘
Salvador was the first capital of Brazil(from 1549 to 1763) 3rd largest city in the country with around 3 million people, it has some of the oldest colonial buildings, surrounded by some of the prettiest beaches in the country, with warm water and natural pools, like "Praia do forte, Morro de São Paulo, Boipeba, Imbassaí, Costa do Sauípe, Itacimirim..." and It is also part of the 2nd largest bay in the world.

You will have the most amazing experience of your life, it is a huge country with a welcoming and loving people. And don't worry about money, in Brazil things are pretty cheap and I'm sure you'll still come home with a few dollars to spare. Anyway, come, Brazil awaits you with its arms and an open heart.

I'm from Salvador and have lived here all my life. Still can't get enough of how beautiful and mesmerising this place is
So I’ve been to Rio, SP, Floripa, and had considered a trip to Salvador but postponed because I would be alone and my Portuguese is not great. People were highlighting security concerns. I’m a very experienced traveler. Would you say that it’s pretty much the same amount of “risk” as Rio and to just take the normal precautions (I.e like no dar Papaya in Colombia) and to take Ubers at night and you should stay out of trouble? Also stay out of Pellurinho late at night etc?
@@laxprep39 Rio and Salvador are both dangerous but in different ways. Here your biggest concern is being robbed.
I'd tell you to avoid the touristic spots at night and during the days there not a lot of people around. Do not use your phone outside, if you need to use it, go inside. Don't walk around with watches, and visible expensive stuff. And always take an uber or taxi during the night.
Just avoid really quiet places and you should be fine.
Worst case scenario, if anything happens, don't put up a fight, just let them take what they want.
I'm from Salvador and I'm very happy knowing with people making videos about my city.
BORA VITORIA 🦁🖤❤️
So happy you guys loved Salvador! I personaly recommend all the capitals of the northwest of Brasil: Fortaleza, Maceió, Recife, Teresina, Natal, São Luiz and João Pessoa!
you will like to meet Paraty and Trindade in RJ. a very beautiful, calm and historic place too.
So good to see tourists vision of where I live. I feel so privilege for being able to see this any day of the year! Hope u guys comeback 💜
Salvador looks like such a great city and one where I would like to visit. I have a trip to Brazil planned in the spring but other that Rio, I dont have a definite itinerary. So maybe I might go to Salvador. It seems like you two are comfortable there and the vibe was good and safe. I have read and heard that safety could be an issue. I am glad to see that you guys are enjoying your time there.
You should take a boat and visit some islands near Salvador in a sunny day just for a day. Wonderful beaches there, Ilha do Frade and Itaparica. You can take a boat near Forte de São Marcelo - cidade baixa in Salvador, I guess. I went there many years ago, but it is unforgetful.
Both cities (first Salvador - parts of XVI and from XVII, to XVIII century; second Rio - from XVIII century until part of last century) were capitals of Brazil when Brazil was part of kingdoom of Portugal.
Just come to Fortaleza-Ceara and be happy! The City of the future!
Joao Pessoa, Natal, Pipa are nice places in northeast of Brazil
