+Josh Steffen Man I always have seen your videos and lamb's ones and suddenly i say if these guys would do videos together it would be awesome, well thanks for making my wish come true, stay awesome man, btw i miss your slipknot's videos are going to do some soon?
I used to listen to both sides of Master of puppets cassette over and over every day when I would come home from school in 1987 in the 5th grade...Once in a while I would drift off into a half-sleep/ trance state halfway thru side 2 (Leper Messiah/Orion) and I would always wake up startled and jolted at 1:18
Dashoost Not me... As long as it was a song on an album I knew (puppets or justice mostly), I wouldn't even flinch. Slept great. I think that I still remember when I first heard megadeths angry again on the radio. I awoke from the dead!
3:12 this breakdown is one of the best parts of the song, but Metallica never plays it in their live shows. Pisses me off. Great execution of the song by the boys. Keep doing these videos, they're awesome to listen to.
Jamie it’s probably bc it’s hard to play. Personally, I’ve been playing guitar for about 3.5 years now, and I find that rhythm pattern of the open E to the accents on the A to be a bit tricky. But then again, I am not very good at guitar😂
@@armandotorres8885 it's not hard to play, I mean that in as little of a cocky tone as possible, it's mainly right arm speed so if you can play songs like blackened or creeping death, it's pretty east
@@armandotorres8885 oh I see wym. Not sure if this is what you mean but I did struggle a lot with the 2 16th note 7th fret A string notes that come right after the 2 palm muted Es, I just couldn't get the second one and get back to E string but I've got it down pretty easy now
My fucking goodness this is so good. I got chills, dude. The whole thing is on point, but love the sound of those drums. You can't fuck with this song. One of the greatest songs in the history of metal. And you guys slayed it.
This video sucks. Why does it suck? It sucks for me because as a former drummer thinking about one day getting back into it, after seeing videos like this I realize even after drumming for many years I never came close to being this good and frankly I don't think I could ever. Both of these guys must spend hours practicing every day or did for a very long time because they are both shredders. Awesome. Hats off to the Met boyz also for writing this music. Awesome!!!!
So, did you get back into it? I hope so. I'll never be as good as them either. But I get together with a buddy, and we jam. Fun for me. We're hobbyists. So just have fun
I’ve watched many of yours and Josh’s videos and I have to say y’all straight up KILLED IT on this one. Especially that Intro man! WOW, what was that nothing but love of the genre and pure musical talent! I’d love to see more with the 2 of y’all! This is so EPIC!
Really loving the collaborations. You guys are both great. I've been watching you for a long time to help figure out guitar parts but I just recently found Josh's channel as I'm starting to learn drums now.
U r a beast. I have learned more songs (correctly) in the past two weeks than I have in years. Tabs till helps, but seeing your hands in motion really simplified the parts. I still suck, but maiden and metallica are far more clear than tabs alone. Thx dude!
+Jordan Kay I saw them play this live and James opened with that riff, but then played the E, Bb chords to sing. I figured James would have recorded that riff in the studio. It's classic Hetfield
Oh. Then i must have seen a different one. The live video i saw was the one at quebec in 2008. It was definitely kirk on that one because james didn't even have a hand on his guitarXD but again, great job.
+LambChopper678 I've also seen 'em both play that riff at the same time (before James switches to the chords) from when they played it in 89, and again in 92. Either way, great cover!
Pleeeease pleaaasse do take no prisoners or bad omen My two favorite youtube musicians covering my favorite song from my favorite band would be fukin epic
I love watching your videos. I would also love to do what you do but currently I'm not all that great at playing and I don't have the slightest clue how to use the program's you use to record these amazing vids. I wish you the best. Keep it up. :)
Metallica, my favorite band of all time, and you guys are just killing it! Josh is a precise drummer and you've got the rhythm and tone perfected for these covers. If you two did a cover for every Metallica song ever, I wouldn't be mad. You can skip over St. Anger though...haha.
Huh I always thought it was just a bunch of triplets on the E string going to the high octave E on the A string. Sounds more like it the way you do it, your videos are always teaching me how to play Metallica.
The beginning of that song..on the album..it’s that clak on the guitar that just gets me..almost at the end of that part..however he made that clak noise was just perfect on the album..it’s hard to find a cover that has that clak ..
killer!! I messed around recording the intro with my boss gt6 a few years ago and used a wah as a filter and was able to get those "squaks" after the pull offs.. nice job!!
Lambchopper678 is a beast! Thank you all for making me feel welcome on this channel. It's a real pleasure. ;)

+Josh Steffen Of course you'd be welcome mate, you made it better
+LambChopper678 Why dont you just get a volume pedal?
Jorge Filipe yes.
+Duncan Robertson I'm not much of a pedal head and I don't think I'd use it. I like the Mark Knopfler approach
I couldn't help but say "ᵈᵃᵐᵃᵍᵉ ᶦⁿᶜᵒʳᵖᵉʳᵃᵗᵉᵈ" every time the instruments stopped
The first to do ASMR
D o n ' t e a t y o u r c o r n b r e a d
Look of the drummer is very meaningfull :D
It's the law good sir.

Riff at 3:13 is one of the most badass Metallica riffs in my opinion
Fuck yeah. One of the greatest riffs ever in heavy metal world.
fax
It reminds me of a nu metal band or any 2000s metalcore song. Mostly linkin park
Love it, and the riff after the solo in creeping death, just hits so powerful. Or the main riff in blackened
one of the hardest to play too
If Damage Inc. was in ...And justice For All ...
Yellow smiley the first minute and a bit would be completely silent
Theramajik bruh

1.25 speed, there you go

Malcolm Kyeremeh Ik. I have the speed, but the timing is weird imo. I get confused from the gallops and accents and all that is all😂

You guys are going to have to do Escape at some point.
+BigBadBuzzRoyt LOL
agreed, Escape is such a good song
The most underrated Metallica song.
+AnalMolesterOfWeebs the most underrated metallica song is leper messiah man
+BigBadBuzzRoyt escape and trapped under ice
This brings back many memories from back in the day when I had this drummer friend and we would jam all Sunday long playing covers.
This song is the hub, the core, the epicentre, the jewel in the crown, of pure thrash metal. Outstanding cover!
possibly the best duo on UA-cam,talented dudes, they are...
playing metallica, wearing a megadeth shirt lol
+hholsten edel To show that is possible to be fan of both bands :P
hholsten edel never saw the need to pick 1 love them both
and an iron maiden shirt
hholsten edel whats wrong? I think its ok
Smart man, has good taste in thrash.
The most brutal Metallica song, you rule man.... that was extreme...

@@drewwesley9506 lol my dad always told me he felt like he was riding a horse whenever I listened to Metallica.
