Pretty much what you’d expect from a high ranked lobby. The meta settings turn into mucky settings as soon as you have 2-3 master level players. Nobody will be allowed to snowball, progressing the game is less important than maintaining balance, the first to die is whoever runs out of time 😂
imagine we had a replay feature and you could go back in your gamelog and watch how long this game ended up being between these guys lmao

There is probably a scenario that it would make sense to skip to set yourself up into the right order to trade after your opponent for card blocking... but maybe only on Classic. On Eu Adv you are giving them a turn holding everything and letting them play 2 turns back to back would let them set up very hard on you

They knew you were forcing them into each other. Then you kept hitting whites bonuses while holding half the board. Then ran through pink and blues bonuses. Not a surprising outcome.

For people saying it's sus, he broke pink and sat in Russia, broke blue and sat in orient, and was blocking white (granted white initiated that fight). All 3 players had reason to dislike him even not considering the fact he was getting +50 a turn. He was in a tough spot because he was also just a 2 point card block and with all the other 3 players playing friendly on the other side, he was sort of the outsider crashing their party. These games are why take a card and pass is the annoyingly optimal strategy, but this was a good orchestrated takedown by the higher skilled lobby.
Absolutely agree with you and to add I think Kylted misread the lobby a little. He wants to finish games in 40min which can bring entertaining content but that only works against novices-intermediates.
These players knew how to play, and they saw that while Kylted might have lost big on the red kill, he also quickly recovered while getting 50 a turn.
However his board position was very bad and he was only a 2 point cardblock away from losing. Which is why Kylted was so adamant to progress the game. But why would the others let him do that? He'd just card block one after the other, chain kills and they'd fight for second. He basically tried bullying a lobby of advanced players and that's not going to work 3vs1 in progressive. He did the take a card and skip way too late. They smelled blood and got rid of him and the board was unbalanced after that so I'm sure they did not just sit there for hours and do nothing.
Fun video as always but I disagree with Kylteds frustration. With hindsight and seeing their ranks he should know they did the only reasonable thing.

Anyone playing these settings purposely trying to extend the game to play for multiple hours is not what I would call 'the only reasonable thing'
The 'correct' path to winning this game would have come from backing off on the +50 and sharing a bit, and then taking a card and passing for 2 hours with everyone until they got bored and hit each other instead of teaming me. I can't get myself to play like that, even if it's the best chance to win.
And I would have won this in 40 minutes despite their skill levels if I got a set on 4 to kill red either of those times lol
@@Kyltedtrue it doesn’t take a player with an immense amount of skill to see how many troops you were getting and focus you because they don’t want to be playing for second. But at the same time earlier in the game I’m sure at some point they had an opportunity to get someone out and get their cards etc and just missed it similar to how you did, this extended the game dramatically.
@@nabedane If killing kylted provided an imbalance then all these guys did was gang up on one imbalanced position to provide another imbalanced position. The White player used Kylted's dominant position to dupe the other two while not actually risking troops and kill guarding. It was well played by white but Pink and Blue should've slowed the cap rolls if they actually wanted to win instead of run-train.
What you did between pink and purple is so hilarious and somehow it is similar to some global conflicts 😂😂😂

honestly it makes perfect sense why they all teamed on you. nobody played "poorly", they're just extremely bland, and white was an annoying everyone-is-my-best-friend player "😭😭😭fistbumpfistbumpfistbump"... but yeah this vid is just a perfect representation of don't hate the player, hate the game; it was fucking ridiculous how just because you had no set and red had early sets, even though he held NOTHING, he was able to survive (unless someone sacrifices all their troops to kill him...)
take a card and pass has officially ruined these settings. the best way to win is to be boring, which makes the game boring... shocker... hope SMG does something.

my fav settings are 6-player sigma prog caps fog bliz no-teams neutral-bot. I almost always win. it's more skillful than you think (positional, see-through-the-fog, and trickster type gameplay), and nearly never stalemates. neutral bot, strong bonuses, and card blocks secure the game progression, and prog with SO many corners gives great opportunity for tricking (and perhaps ramdingling) people. could make for really fun vids. give it a go!
I mean what's white supposed to do? Fight blue and pink with his 9 bonus while Kylted gets 50 a turn?
Teaming up on the guy who bullied the entire board, tries to snowball and pushing others into each other was the only reasonable thing to do. I love Kylteds content, love watching him snowball, chain kills and progress games. It makes for interesting videos. I wouldn't watch 4h of take a card and skip but his snowballing and chaining kills can get hard against an experienced lobby that doesn't play for second. They had to take him down if they wanted to win the game. Props to them
@nabedane I'm not saying white shouldn't have been friendly with the other players, I just found his fist bumps and crying to be annoying and manipulative. if I were blue I probably would've suicide slammed white just for that lol. if white actually respected the fight against kylted, he would've cleaned kylted out of Africa. but he only cares about winning, and so goaded pink into slamming the rest of kylted when he had the kill guard. clearly a manipulative player. I play games for fun personally, and don't find dishonesty fun, but whatever.
I also think it's important to understand when kylted calls someone a "fucking moron" or whatever in-game, we shouldn't take it seriously. he doesn't actually hate on people like that, and we can't expect him to sit there calculating whether blue's move was good or bad when his game is getting destroyed. he just hates how the state of these settings lead to this outcome, so he's pissed. very human response.
Well put, I just want fun and interesting games. I don't mind getting smoked in a game as long as I have a good time. The state of how a lot of people play these settings does ruin the fun for me, and when I know it's the most popular thing and the settings you guys all enjoy the most, it is frustrating 🤣

I like how you upload losses sometimes. Some content creators only ever upload wins (not necessarily just Risk - any game really) so seeing titles like "Crazy game!! Did I win??" becomes silly when you know they only ever upload wins

recently had game like that, but half Italy and Africa was cut off and single poing guard in north africa, but I choosed noob corner and 2 point guard like you in late game and forced players to war for 2nd place. That was interesting to look how they're tried

I think if you had let pink hold that north he might have been more willing to work with you. From his perspective you were holding everything and not letting him hold anything so he had no reason not to hit you

I had almost the same thing happen to me, today. I got a 4 point hold on the left side of the board, two points were capitols.. I went to the right side taking another capitol. Two killed the third. Then, they ganged up on me, eventually killing me. No collusion. Just good play by Master and Expert players. Being an Intermediate player, I still gained points as I killed a Master earlier. Lots of fun. We are learning how to fight back together against the leader.

I just had a guy keep me hostage in a game he could of finished 10 minutes earlier.. 😢It's pathetic. He wouldn't take the last cap.
How you didn’t cap in Italy on your 1 instead of Gascony is mind boggling to me. You have the same position but the two point on half the map is your cap and scandy/russia. Same position 5x better cap
The solution was to leave white in West Africa, allow him to take the bonus, and trade in Italy. Maybe even allow pink into the North Sea to trade with them there.
Well you did snipe pink out the side when blue and pink were being friendly at the beginning kinda ticking then both off there white seems like he just didnt want to get 2nd to last place and after pink wiped him out of your side of the map he saw how strong you were getting so he played the pass a card strat but getting angry over you crying emoji him when he did the same when he broke your bonus when you did his doesnt seem like a legit reason to target you but he felt he would ve targeted next if he did nothing so i guess he was pushed into a corner and only saw best to work with the other guy right next to him that was already mad at you with his partner.
I have a solution. What I did was uninstalled this shit game, deleted my discord account from that shit site, and I don't miss it a bit.
They only player i was kinda sus of was white. The other 2 not at all. White made a couple of moves that seemed like he knew. Other than that they worked on the player who was getting a ton of troops ( that was pissing everyone off lol ) that was just as easily card blockable.
And btw that 50 troops was doing no good after getting hit and hitting other players. You might as well be getting less than them.

This is why Balanced Blitz dice suck. Against good players, these games often turn into stalemates. But rarely see that with true random dice. Just too much craziness for it to stalemate.
One and a half hours to get fourth. Those losses are the worst

It was a GM knowing how to roll a huge cap without taking too many losses. 0 blitzing hoping for some good rolls so you get a 100% in eventually which he probably didn't have from the start. Was a nice move.
I think pinks plan was only to commit some troops to me and not to kill me for the cards... but then he saw how good the roll was and decided to keep pushing... even though he didnt get the cards in the end lol

honestly, i get that you pushed hard into all of them with the stacks you left to try to hard block them. But if you didn't, they would just take a card a pass(supposed they all worked together without any more communicaton) for another 8 hours. You lost 272 troops to get red's cards worth 100. I know it is frustrating but this game is kind of like soccer. Nothing happens forever and then people go berserk for the goal. People complain about the long games but they still watch them at 1.5 speed on youtube. I don't mind longer games so much, and that move on red sort of looked like a boredom suicide.
I think you will find that fixed cards stalemates less often on this map because bonuses stack up so rapidly. People like progressive though because the noobs often don't know how to vector kills very well and it gives the experts an advantage.

Not everyone wants to play just to progress the game. You made yourself a target by being super aggressive to red and taking half the board and not letting pink hold noob corner. I think he would have left you alone if you gave him something. He had no reason to work with you over white.
Yes, card and pass is sometimes a necessary strategy because it helps to mend fences. I think you got frustrated and contributed to your own demise by stacking 500 against white and leaving it offcap for several turns. However much you hate opponents, some diplomacy is necessary. But it looked sus to me. Perfect teaming in fog is pretty rare. Although, blue didn't contribute several times when asked to by white's emotes, before finally coming out and taking a yellow cap, so it was just the pink and white teaming that looked sus to me. Idk, but making enemies of multiple players who are strong is not a recipe for success. Sometimes you just have to stop pushing for a few turns before everyone forgets about you (if it wasn't collab) and they attack each other meaningfully. Blue wouldn't have hit your cap if the offcap 500 was fortified to it. Obviously, if it was collab you might as well keep pushing until they suicide you to finish the torture ASAP.
You're right, the best play for winning chances was to back off. I would rather lose in 4th than play a 5 hour game with people like this though 🤣

Might seem a little sus, but lets be honest, if you decide to 1v3 expect 3 people to hit you back.
If you try and cardblock the world, you are only cardblocking yourself.
If you decide to take half the board and get 50ish per turn…yeah you become the board’s enemy. Kylted just wasn’t able to remove red early enough to snowball, so his position just ended up being a liability.
@@tonoko900 the sus part is how they coordinated the attack, they all knew exactly how much to send and when to send it and where. No one checked the others work. That ending sequence was hella sus. t's a shame we cannot look up game results after the fact or we could see who went 1-2-3 and confirm if these sus amogus played with each other before.
That has to be some kind of collaboration.. Why in the world would everyone basically suicide into you separately? It makes no sense. They're giving up their troops just so your out of the game..
Wouldn't surprise me if they are all collab and then gives the win to pink every game, white gets 2nd, blue gets third.. That would explain why Wylie is GM, luka is master, and eric is expert,, because that's the placement they get every game.
Because he had the most board. No one else came close to him in board generation all game. He also was the most aggressive while everyone else was playing good neighborhood. That person will always get teamed on.
