Good stuff! Loved the meow as Reginald jumped off Pete's map. Speed-ups felt a little jarring with there being only a couple and the video generally short, but they worked well and I liked still seeing all the moves

@@drew1321 I don't think it's the edit itself, just that I didn't expect it. Which is maybe a matter of time and it becoming normal? The first one in a video will probably always be a bit of a shock
A couple thoughts- either fixed friday should remain the one traditional "unedited video", add timestamps to when it is pete's move instead of skipping the rest, or maybe upload one edit and one unedited? Sometimes when I have time I like to see full and complete commentary, sometimes when I'm short on time I just skip to pete's turns.
Generally as risk appears as a very static game without big movements on video, I think subtler edits (if any) work best. Pete is the main personality and reason for watching, therefore I think bigger edits detract from the viewing experience (such as big cuts and zooms) as it interrupts us watching Pete and his facial expressions. My focus when watching after all is constantly shifting between Pete’s face-cam, the board, and any drawn visual aids. Edits that Pete control mid-stream work well, as we see his thinking and logic. An edit that might freshen the viewing might be small visual effects we see on the attack/fortify arrows in game, like the moves in Chess that Hikaru has on his streams. Personally I like seeing the full, uncut video without fast forwards, as I like feeling somewhat like I am part of the stream without being able to catch one live. I do like the idea of Reggie being his own little edit for when he appears, or maybe a cartoon Reggie/small sleeping animation somewhere small on screen. The risk board (depending on the map) has room for Pete to add extensions of his personality to the screen without making the video too busy, so I feel a small Reginald somewhere would work quite well! There are my 2 cents, I hope they helped!
The best ad read are the funny ones, but a classy one like the one you did is a close second. Seeing the channel becoming more professional is really enjoyable, just like the great RISK content of course. You're killing it Pete!

Also great move by knocking Purple out of Asia. That move ended up causing Black, Purple, Green, and White to have unstable borders for most of mid game. Red causing havok while not hitting you is just icing on the cake

It was kind of a d-bag move from green to leave the corridor open for purple to hit you through Africa. To dissuade green from keeping that open, what do you think about breaking him in East Africa until he guards against it? When he guards against being broken by you, he will close the door for purple. With a huge stack at the 1 point guard for AUS, green wouldn't do meaningful damage to you if he wanted to retaliate, and all he would have to do is put a couple troops there to defend. Once he does that, then you are good with him (because he is 'good' with you for not leaving that door open).
I feel like playing the australia game or the no continent game, you got to make action happen because you'll eventually be out-generated. That being said, you did not have to make any action happen this game... Maybe this would be more of a strategy for higher level play? Would be interested to hear your thoughts!

@@TheKillPeteStrategy 16:47 is when you knocked purple out of Asia. I don't think this would be the right time to pressure green to set up a blockade between you and purple because purple could get cards still to take south america.
Your turn starting 18:51 would be where you could start breaking green until he guarded against you and closed the corridor for purple.
@@marcooriella6521 antagonizing green wouldn't be my line in this case. I'm not trying to provoke a suicide being that I'm in a long term worse position than him. Removing purple from Asia has the benefit of causing instability on that side of the world naturally since purple has to take cards from either green or NA.
It's usually wise to not make more than one enemy at a time.
Played Capitals on Advanced Canada yesterday against that same purple player. He captured Alaska + Yukon 2nd turn and already began invading my troops in British Columbia. He’s the type of player that wants all of the advantages for himself and thats what cost him the game. He hasn’t learned his lesson =|

Don‘t tell me I get featured in one of pete‘s video‘s and then it‘s literally on one of my worst games ever.
I was black and the purple player was beyond tilting.
Moves out of their way to block green and red with absolutely no benifit for themselves.
Then they get SA but don‘t even leave a stack in Asia so they got nothing better to do than making my game even worse than it already was.
Hope I get a better game the next time we may meet!
If I have to take the Australia position, I'm just happy to get second place with one or two kills. The likelihood of getting first is slim. My least favorite position is Europe, though. My experience is that nobody is ever willing to let you keep Europe and they will blow through any stack to ensure you don't keep that bonus.

I feel like your explanation of why Australia is bad is incorrect, I believe it is bad because it is the lowest bonus along with the fact that all the trading happens on its front door in Asia

I mean you got the Aussie win but that was a very odd game. People weren't playing to win. This is typically how my games go. People just smashing into things with no rhyme or reason.

Pete I have decided to stop playing risk because every other game is 1 guy using two accounts. Please be a mainstream voice to tell devs to actually care. I don't understand why someone would cheat such a fun game. And yes I reported it but still see the same two accounts over and over again.
I hate the way the ads are being done. It is so jarring that I'm considering not watching new uploads anymore, while I've been binging the older content over the last week or so. It makes me feel uncomfortable to watch you do an ad like that and the segment takes too long. It would be much better if it was incorporated in the video more and brought more naturally and briefly.
