Hi Steve, I’m enjoying your story unfold, keep it up 👍 . Just a quick suggestion before you go too far , check the gear box for signs of damage, that drive shaft looks like it took quite a wack , make sure the diff still turns the opposite wheel in opposite direction to the one you rotate, just thinking out loud 😜.

When the rack comes into the column is there any set about it needs to come into the yoke of the column knuckle as I removed my sub frame well dropped it to do roll bar bushes and I believe mine may of slipped down slightly as the bolt wasn't fully tight and seem to have a knock in and around the column joints thanks

Great videos Steve, loving the Ford rebuild, I know time is of the essence with the build etc but why not get the subframe powder coated whilst it was waiting for fitment?
That's a good question. I did consider this and I'm not really in a rush so could have done it. But the big reason I didn't do it was because 6 yrs ago when I bought my focus track car I done a full underbody restoration on it thinking I'm keeping the car for life. 6yrs later I gutted it and sent it to the scrap yard. All that hard work for nothing. So now I thought I'm not wasting my time being super anal just to then in a few yrs sell the car on etc.
