Not a Ford fan in particular but really enjoy watching this being turned around.
It's very relatable watching someone roll around on their drive in the rain with some basic tools.

Great to see a rebuild job from the UK! Keep up the good work!
One tip with the gearbox fluid. Always undo the filler plug first. That way you’re not stuck with a gearbox with no fluid in when you come to fill up and can’t undo the plug. Doesn’t apply to this as you have no driveshaft just a general tip for viewers :)

Good to see a uk build, love goonzsquad channel but the cars they fix are never seen on my roads in Northern Ireland. Hat goes off to you doing this in your back yard getting soaked by the rain and probably froze at the same time. Reach out for someone to help fund your build I.e do a paid add. I’m following and wishing you all the best sir

On the subframe at the back where the bolts go threw to the box section on the chassis there is another hole which you can use to align the subframe, it's on the drivers side at the back, get a large long bolt, sorry can not remember the size, but it inserts into a hole in the box section and helps you align it, hope this helps you!....After watching you with the verniers looks like you did a good job anyway.....Take care...

Hi Steve, I’m enjoying your story unfold, keep it up 👍 . Just a quick suggestion before you go too far , check the gear box for signs of damage, that drive shaft looks like it took quite a wack , make sure the diff still turns the opposite wheel in opposite direction to the one you rotate, just thinking out loud 😜.

@ 01:30 That inner CV joint is exactly the same design using a retention circlip as later ('73 on) Classic Minis. They were called 'Pot Joints' (now now no dodgy comments please!) and there is actually a proper tool for removing them. Even got one on UA-cam:
    ua-cam.com/video/inQxkWQNZKA/v-deo.html
Had to smile at your adding a 4th item. Reminded me of the Monty Python 'No one expects the Spanish Inquisition' sketch:
    ua-cam.com/video/Tym0MObFpTI/v-deo.html
(I possibly spend too much time on UA-cam .....)

That's a good question. I did consider this and I'm not really in a rush so could have done it. But the big reason I didn't do it was because 6 yrs ago when I bought my focus track car I done a full underbody restoration on it thinking I'm keeping the car for life. 6yrs later I gutted it and sent it to the scrap yard. All that hard work for nothing. So now I thought I'm not wasting my time being super anal just to then in a few yrs sell the car on etc.

hi thanks for watching. iv watched a bit of the audi vid and subbed to watch more later. i cant offer much advice other than feature a car that captures the publics attention. iv been doing my videos for a few yrs and got to 1400 subs over 6 yrs. i buy this fiesta and it goes crazy in a few weeks. im still learning myself so havent got many tips but one thing i would suggest is try titling the first vid to something like Fixing a crashed tt? or something more catchy and dramatic without being clickbaity.for me i also now try to not cover the car in the thumbnail with text. also put the pic in a editing programme and turn the saturation up high to make the pic pop. These are all new methods iv been using since buying the fiesta and seems to work.

Great content Steve. I’m thinking of buying a salvaged car after being inspired by your channel. Where did you buy the subframe? Keep up the good work 👍

Forgive me mate, but seemed obvious to me, but this is a track car project, how come your sticking with the stq dare parts, ie suspension and brakes etc
While it's off isn't it a great time to upgrade?

Hi, yes it would be the perfect time to upgrade but i dont have all the funds right away and if i do all the upgrades in a short time il have no video content left. thanks for watching

@@Sparkplugsteve I did consider the content side of it yeah. That makes sense
Perfect answer, it's what I wanted to hear
Personally I'd track it once or twice as it is. You can make obvious and informed updates on the changes each mod changes

Is that normal for a subframe to move around like that? The subframe I took off on my car the bolts automatically squares the subframe up for you!!!

He kept it loose while he aligned everything else including the subframe. He spoke of this.

To be honest I dont know what the category s will do to its value. Maybe drop the overall price by 2k at a guess.

Cat S will knock about 50 percent of the value of a car for the remainder of its life. This is because there will always be a stigma attached to buying a car previously written off. For a daily driver They are only worth buying and repairing if you intend to keep them for the remainder of their useful life and run them onto the ground again as they will be difficult to sell on and will have much lower value.. of course for a track car this isn't such an issue.
