I love SMM, but i hate play with your food. I'd much rather play with Devour+Undying. It's very snowbally. Once everyone is exposed ambushes are so much more scary.

I legit only want to play SM Myers. For me, Tombstone is kinda boring once people know its in play, and getting scares on other players is far more satisfying. Hell, I dont even play to win, I usually play to 8 hooks and then coast til the end. The sad part is I've played against streamers, and then they act surprised when I dont troll them at the end.
Honestly, I know I'm really cynical because I've come to hate the community enough that bringing items that benefit other people is an allergen to me, but when I bring BP Streamers because fuck it and I get a 0k from people that be sore winners and insult me for not bringing the event item (I deserve the rope for this crime, apparently) only validates my actions of not bringing them. Why use something that benefits everyone when 90% of the time Everyone includes at least one asshole?
@@sevendaystocry2546 I think Vanity Mirror Myers is underrated, though it's obviously not his best build. Even setting That One Addon aside, it's only really a sidegrade over something like faster stalk and hair bow. With the right supporting build, though, it's pretty alright. Certainly viable.

Still, though, a little map dependency isn't an immediate viability killer. It's much less map dependent than the Scratched Mirror, and you do have _some_ control over what map you go to via offerings. I'd go so far as to say that it's pretty good on most maps. It's not even size that kills VM, it's openness. Ormond isn't that big, but it's open enough for VM builds to take a huge hit.
The last I played a scratched mirror it was in chaos shuffle, and it was probably one of the only times I felt like I legit earned an iri evader emblem. He chased me a few times at the start on Lerys, then the guy tunneled the first person he downed relentlessly until they were dead. He did get one more hook and then downed my last teammate who had tried to unhook while he was camping (I got the unhook during that), but then between my random breakout, and us body blocking the hook he lost them on wiggle out. He then chased me for the entire rest of the gens as the other two worked them in pairs, at least 75% of it was in the lobby area running around the desk/chairs and him falling for the pallet fake every time. He then had the nerve to complain about how we played and how we should get cancer lol. I've played a lot of scratched mirror, as long as you don't expect to "win" and just want to have fun it's fine.
I've seen some posts on the reddit falsely claiming that vanity and scratched mirror give extra BP (it does, but only applies to score events. This means you max out your deviousness faster, but don't get anything after the match is over like offerings and perks do). So it might be related
I hardly ever burned a map offering while playing Mirror Myers. Then again I mostly only ever burned Bloodpoint offerings. Every so often I'd burn a map offering if I had a Challenge that was best done on a particular map but that was on any killer not just Mirror Myers. 6:32 Hastag Not All Mirror Myers. I love scratch Mirror. It’s probably the only thing I play on Myers lol. Plus it changes how the game is played. Taking chase in as a T1 has to be the hardest killer to chase with. And he needs to be on 3 maps or it’s a loss. Scratch Myers is what bonk and run wraiths wish they could be.
As a P100 Scratched Mirror Myers main - it's 99% of what I play - I can attest to SM Myers being a weak killer when going up against Survivors who know what they're doing. Many Survivors don't know, though, and more common than not I get between 8-12 hooks (I prefer to do 8, 2 for each person and let them go. I love jump scares!). Perks are fun and Map offerings are fun, but sometimes I'll take Scratched Mirror and run him perkless and mapless, just to see what kind of streak I can get. And those streaks are always ended by Survivors aware of their surroundings :D

When I do bring perks, I don't bring gen regression perks; against most solo queues, at least half the team will spend the game paranoid and not do gens, which is in itself a form of gen regression :D . And if you're going up against a swf/team on comms, you're going to have a rough match no matter what. My preferred build is Hex: Face the Darkness ; Hex: Blood Favor ; Hex: Undying and Spies From the Shadows. The Hex's are there to help ramp up the scariness ("If he can hear me scream he knows where I am, run!" "I can't use my pallets, oh no!"). Undying because they'll always try to break your totems. And Spies because Scratched Mirror isn't a 360 POV, plus it has a 4 meter greater radius.

It's interesting how many Scratched Myers players get baited into loops. A little Haste certainly helps, but you want to leverage the advantage you traded your speed for.

I played Vanity Mirror Myers on this map and also won, had monitor and abuse with dead rabbit, terror radius is very small with monitor and dead rabbit. 2 players dc when I downed everyone :P.

This Myers did not know what he was doing. You can't chase as mirror mike you have to go for ambushes, which requires some creative pathing to appear where survivors don't expect you.
Why dont ppl just use Vanity Mirror if they want to play like this, with M&A and rabbit you get a 6m TR so you're basically undetectable anyway but you actually get to be 115% and have a lunge
The build the SM was using was pretty questionable honestly. Noed is pretty much a given with SM Myers but then again so is a map offering. Still a chad for leaving it to random chance if they get a good map or not.
PWYF, rapid brutality, sloppy, and NOED and I’m sure he would have had a better time. Or get rid of NOED for deadlock to slow gens down a lil bit more.
@@William256 im a p100 myers... I say scratched mirror main due to the fact i love playing it. However, i play so much regular myers and get consistent 4-3k with giving hatch. Scratched is a nice break from trying. I have 7k hours so don't ever say i get bad survivors...

@@William256 guess i am exaggerating, i meant by "main" as in main for myers, not exclusively scratched, but the point i was trying to make is that in the extremely high mmr lobbies i get from my regular myers gameplay i let people go only when playing scratched, and that's usually a low ratio of games played to regular myers. On top of that i just kill everyone if someone gives up on hook or they do not rescue, so that's even less mmr lost bc that happens a lot. I can tell you from sheer experience and not ego that my lobbies on Myers are very high mmr, despite the scratched games.

Is it though? When you’re in solo queue I’d argue it’s pretty hard to counter. It’s still not OP or anything but you have to stay healthy against him, which is difficult after the medkit nerfs.
@@thatfishguy4991 It's super easy to counter even in solo, unless your teammates have poor composure or little experience. He moves like a slug so no real map traversal, can't loop anywhere, is wrecked by pallets, no slowdown, only functions on tight indoor maps and is wrecked hard by resets. He's even still audible which means attentive players can get a head start and is even more audible on his best map (the Game) so run to a pallet while your other teammates heal or do gens.
It's only good on Lerry's and against solo survivors. On any other maps the gens are safe enough to see him coming. Against SWF they can simply call out on who he is. Honnestly T1 Myers should be able to gain bloodlust, he's so underpowered in T1 there's no reason he can't get bloodlust.
Scratch mirror isn't terrible. He is doing gods work by bringing horror back into this piece of shit game. I am thankful BHVR haven't changed this kit up.
They should make Scratched Mirror base build and, of course, remove his current power. No more Exposed status effect. Evil Within (keep the name) current ability should now be Scratched Mirror ability. Make his Terror Radius to 20 Meters (does not start with Undetectable anymore) and Evil Within/Scratched Mirror range to 20 Meters. With his [new] Power range being the same range as his Terror Radius it means that as a Survivor, when you hear Michael's Terror Radius, you know you are [probably] being watched.
With this, I think you can keep the essence of Michael while making it fun to play as/against. To compensate being able to see through walls, then decrease his speed to 4.4 m/s. Recycle Evil Within Tier III's Attack/Idle animation for when he starts a Chase. As a Survivor, you'll sometimes hear a "metallic -screeetch-" sound when encountering the Killer, replace that sound for the Evil Within Tier Increment/Decrement sound cue for Michael Myers only.

I played against one with my buddies on MacMillan yesterday. We ended up winning but that shit is still boring asf.
The build the SM was using was pretty questionable honestly. Noed is pretty much a given with SM Myers but then again so is a map offering. Still a chad for leaving it to random chance if they get a good map or not.

PWYF, rapid brutality, sloppy, and NOED and I’m sure he would have had a better time. Or get rid of NOED for deadlock to slow gens down a lil bit more.

as a scratched mirror main, i can easily kill everyone if i wanted to, i just get 8 hooks and resort to slugging to avoid killing.
So you are playing against bad survivors. You literally just admitted that you purposefully lower your MMR.
@@William256 im a p100 myers... I say scratched mirror main due to the fact i love playing it. However, i play so much regular myers and get consistent 4-3k with giving hatch. Scratched is a nice break from trying. I have 7k hours so don't ever say i get bad survivors...
@@William256 also a P100 Myer that plays *exclusively* Jumpscare Myers while never letting them live, and it's not that hard to get a 4k without tunneling or camping.

If you are avoiding killing, you are artificially lowering your MMR. Doesn't matter how much regular Myers you play, you already stated that you mostly play Scratched Mirror.
7K hours means nothing. My Clown MMR is near the bottom because I don't play him. MMR is tied individually to each and every killer.

@@William256 guess i am exaggerating, i meant by "main" as in main for myers, not exclusively scratched, but the point i was trying to make is that in the extremely high mmr lobbies i get from my regular myers gameplay i let people go only when playing scratched, and that's usually a low ratio of games played to regular myers. On top of that i just kill everyone if someone gives up on hook or they do not rescue, so that's even less mmr lost bc that happens a lot. I can tell you from sheer experience and not ego that my lobbies on Myers are very high mmr, despite the scratched games.

I mean its widely know this build only works on new players or people who do not know it exists. Its not eally hard to counter.
Is it though? When you’re in solo queue I’d argue it’s pretty hard to counter. It’s still not OP or anything but you have to stay healthy against him, which is difficult after the medkit nerfs.
@@thatfishguy4991 even is soloq you can still play it safe, so myers with that addon has no bussiness getting value if you have awareness.
@@thatfishguy4991 It's super easy to counter even in solo, unless your teammates have poor composure or little experience.
He moves like a slug so no real map traversal, can't loop anywhere, is wrecked by pallets, no slowdown, only functions on tight indoor maps and is wrecked hard by resets. He's even still audible which means attentive players can get a head start and is even more audible on his best map (the Game) so run to a pallet while your other teammates heal or do gens.

On any other maps the gens are safe enough to see him coming.
Against SWF they can simply call out on who he is.
Honnestly T1 Myers should be able to gain bloodlust, he's so underpowered in T1 there's no reason he can't get bloodlust.
Scratch mirror isn't terrible. He is doing gods work by bringing horror back into this piece of shit game. I am thankful BHVR haven't changed this kit up.

Scratched mirror isn't terrible. His build was terrible.
They should make Scratched Mirror base build and, of course, remove his current power. No more Exposed status effect.
Evil Within (keep the name) current ability should now be Scratched Mirror ability. Make his Terror Radius to 20 Meters (does not start with Undetectable anymore) and Evil Within/Scratched Mirror range to 20 Meters. With his [new] Power range being the same range as his Terror Radius it means that as a Survivor, when you hear Michael's Terror Radius, you know you are [probably] being watched.
With this, I think you can keep the essence of Michael while making it fun to play as/against.
To compensate being able to see through walls, then decrease his speed to 4.4 m/s.
Recycle Evil Within Tier III's Attack/Idle animation for when he starts a Chase.
As a Survivor, you'll sometimes hear a "metallic -screeetch-" sound when encountering the Killer, replace that sound for the Evil Within Tier Increment/Decrement sound cue for Michael Myers only.
