12:10 CRIMINALLY underrated song. Greatest, Kamikaze and The Ringer are my favorite off of Kamikaze. People always talk about Not Alike, The Ringer, Fall, but forget about this one and Kamikaze. They're such amazing tracks. Maybe it's because of the beats. But I love all of Em's wacky beats. They sound amazing

Awesome reaction. Also, the "cig lit" line where it has a gun scheme you can take "cig" to mean "Sig" because Sig Sauer is a gun manufacturer.
It's a gun bar that a top tier battle rapper would hesitate to use because it would go over peoples' heads in a room, but among their peers they would go nuts over it.
I'm obsessed with his last scheme, he sets up the boxer image right away with "float like a butterfly..." and you can hear the rhymes coming in and I feel like I'm just waiting on the edge for his last line about him being Muhammad and then he slams it and I get chills! One of my favourites off the album for sure!

this is by far the greatest song I've ever heard from Em... the bars are on another level, even for him.... my favorite verse of all time starts at 12:33 he goes on a gun scheme, compares it to muscles, as well as at the same time comparing it to muscle cars... then continues it and says "trigger me and slim gets mean, bars are like bullets when I spit these schemes, thats why I call them mother fuckers M16's".... an average verse is comprised of 16 bars... Ems verse hits like an M16... shit was absolute fire.

This is why on my first playthrough of kamikaze this was my favorite 🎵
First of all - love the channel. Beyond that, I’m so surprised (and it’s not just you and trust me when I say I understand there’s so much to digest from literally every song on this album) but NO ONE, not one reaction video I’ve watched and I like seeing how different people take in the same material so I’ve watched a lot and I mean on this song alone - but again NO ONE that I’ve seen at least has yet to actually catch the double that Em drops with that “you gotta be diamond to even step in the ring” line... there’s the obvious reference to a wedding ring but you have to be not just platinum but “diamond”, as in 10 million albums sold, diamond, to even step in the ring with him. So if you haven’t gone diamond on a record, forget it. You’re literally the best I’ve seen when it comes to breakdowns/reactions and I’m a true hip-hop head of what I assume is about the same age which makes me happy because you get so many things that I see and hear other channels just pass over because they literally just don’t get it, it’s before their time I guess but if you’re a real fan on the genre (not you, I mean in general), especially in today’s age where everything is a few clicks away, you should be able to go back and check shit out and therefore understand these references when you hear them. Like, you know how hard it was for me as a poor white kid to get/find a copy of a Kool G Rap, Big Daddy Kane, or even Rakim (still bump Rakim on the regular btw) back when I was coming up in like ‘97/‘98??? But I still did, even if it meant looking through 500 CD’s at a flea market to find one album and now these kids have every artists full catalogue at their fingertips and I guarantee only 1 out maybe 50 have ever listened to SONG Illmatic, let alone the album...
