If you didn't live through the prime Eminem era, you'll probably struggle to understand how much chaos he caused. Nobody was used to the ''Slim Shady'' persona saying the wildest things while holding a mirror in front of the US. People literally protested him.
People would also not get his angry and his irony and sarcasm in his songs.

The story goes em rang Dre coming off the back of his European tour saying "I need new songs, more beats!" Dre said he has nothing new but he'd get on it. But Dre was in the studio when he rang and Em said "whats that you're playing in the background?" Dre said just something we're messing around with right now. Em said "I want that beat, I will kill that beat!"
