The amount of tragedy Obi Wan has had to deal with (yet still uphold his values throughout his life) is crazy. This felt like a lot of the best bits of animated/live action bought together, was great! Huge props to the creators!
When you talked about how sometimes animation can express things better than live action, I couldn't agree more. It made me think of this exact moment: 12:28 after Anakin screams "I hate you!", you can literally feel the despair from Obi-Wan. He looks like hes tearing up, you can visibly tell that his world has come crumbling down around him and will never be the same. He lost his brother forever.
The start is from an unfinished scene from the CW. Its great they not only adapted the duel into CW style animation but slightly tweaked it as well. If interested for more fan films I'd recommend Wingman by Michaels basement
The new and extended scenes you see in this animation were adapted from the original 'Revenge of the Sith' shooting script, the novelization of the movie, and several assorted deleted scenes and movie stills in an attempt to make the Mustafar duel as complete as possible. Some creative license was used in the camera angles and character movements. And Anakin's mid-air lightsaber "hand swap", originally performed by Hayden Christensen for his duel with Count Dooku (but later deleted), was also adapted for this sequence.
5:55 + 7:51 some of the "new" or different scenes are from the Episode III deleted scenes from their fight cause there was a lot of footage that was changed and cut from everything that was filmed for their fight 6:11 also, I think this here is from the Episode III novelization

I loved how they added the move of Anakin letting go of his lightsaber and catching it under Obi-Wan's guard from the deleted Dooku fight choreography that resurfaced last year.
This is easily the best fan made Starwars project to date!! I was waiting for this since 4 years ago but ever since the Clone Wars movie came out in 2008, I always wondered what the Obi wan vs Anakin fight would be like in Clone wars form.

I watched all clone wars and rebels late last year and that was one of the best things ever because wow it added to much more to my love for star wars. And you are 10000% correct animation is art form on its own that can convey some things that other mediums cannot. Projects like Arcane really elevated what animation is capable of.
Without a doubt, this is my #1 favorite Star Wars fan film. The Obi-Wan vs Anakin duel on Mustafar from ROTS is my #1 favorite lightsaber duel in the entire franchise, so seeing it in TCW animation was a dream come true. I really enjoyed seeing your reaction to this, Cat. Happy New Year!

This is my first time seeing this and it was awesome I loved how the first scene was from an unaired episode of The Clone Wars and even though the animation was a little stuttery I still loved it however I still like Hayden's delivery of the line I hate you a lot more than in this fan film

Yes, others have had intense reactions to the original (and without having seen Clone Wars), but others like me that connected more with the Clone Wars characters, this hit harder. Something crazy that I didn’t expect was I had a flashback to little Anakin from Ep 1 while Anakin was burning, making me think that “was this all worth it? Robbing this man’s entire life from him since he was an innocent boy? Look where it ended up.”
If you're looking for more tributes to react to, I would highly suggest looking at the ones made by SWFT if you haven't seen them already. He has at least 3 Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker tributes, one for Ahsoka, one for Obi-Wan, as well as the Rebellion, the Empire, and one for all the Dark Side characters. the mistake of "new" Star Wars that they don't understand lightsabers, in the new trilogy, it looks like Kylo used a real sword, it looks like the blade has weight to it. well it doesn't. in the animated stuff they always could do stuff look fast is the only thing that has any weight is the hilt.
I always forget how much Anakin is the aggressor in his lightsaber duels even when he and Obi-Wan are just training, but on defense more when he's Vader because then he lets his opponents make a fool of themselves. Except for in Rogue One of course.

Great reaction. Clone Wars fan have seen so many episodes of Ani and Obi. I’m definitely more emotionally connected to the animated characters.
