This animation was in the oven for three and a half years. That's what happens when a creator is allowed to cook without time constraints. Every year on May 4th we would get a teaser and they all looked incredible. The very first teaser was in 2020 and it looked sub par in comparison to this. That's how far it has come. They even took the liberties of doing that opening scene from the unfinished crystal crisis arc and the end of episode 3. They went above and beyond to create something truly special

What I really like about this animation is that it's not just trying to replicate the footage from the Mustafar duel seen in ROTS. It actually fills in the gaps of what happens whenever the movie cuts away from Mustafar and shows Yoda and Sidious' duel.
I also appreciate that the animators took a bit of artistic licence when they actually did adapt scenes from the movie.
Varrying how certain shots are made and also changing up the choreography at parts.
For example, the shot at 7:13 does not exist in the movie and is most likely a reference to the iconic ROTS poster which shows Anakin and Obi Wan crossing blades during their duel.
Fun fact: All voice lines you hear in this animation are actually voiced by James Arnold Taylor & Matt Lanter. Plus a couple of lines by Ewan McGregor from the movie, like the "You were the Chosen One" speech for example.
The video's creators took voice lines from Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, in which Matt Lanter and James Arnold Taylor voice Anakin and Obi Wan, just like in Star Wars TCW.
The little scene at the start was from an already fully voiced but otherwise unfinished episode of TCW.
"THEN YOU ARE LOST" hits me everytime.
Right as the vader mask closes.... you can hear Anakin "padme.... help me"
But yeah... seeing this in clone wars style hit HARD... more so than the live action.
Also as vader walks on the star destroyer... notice the crewman in the pits.... are all clones! Those guys did an AMAZING job.. amazing. even Matt Lanter (Clone Wars Anakin) commented on it on twitter.

Its great they not only adapted the duel into CW style animation but slightly tweaked it as well.

1:40-2:32 That scene is from an episode of the unfinished TCW arc, "Crystal Crisis on Utapau".
4:24-4:29 That part is from behind-the-scenes footage of the Anakin Skywalker vs Count Dooku duel in ROTS.
4:39-4:51 That exchange along with most of the dialogue in this fan film comes from "LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga", which had Matt Lanter and James Arnold Taylor reprise their roles as Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi respectively.
Without a doubt, this is my #1 favorite Star Wars fan film. The Obi-Wan vs Anakin duel on Mustafar from ROTS is my #1 favorite lightsaber duel in the entire franchise, so seeing it in TCW animation was a dream come true.
Btw, they didn’t superimpose over the live action characters, they fully recreated they scene. If you watch the side by side that someone did you can see the timing is totally different and some move sets are longer because they didn’t have to cut back and forth like in RotS.

This animation really conveys how much pain Kenobis been through, his face just breaks my heart and I feel for him the most in the Star Wars story, even though Skywalker had the most physical pain, Kenobi had the most traumatic pain throughout his life, so much loss…
Seriously. Seeing things like this just remind you of all the trauma he faced, especially this moment in such quick succession. Ugh my heart

As well as my movie suggestion: Tintin and the secret of the Unicorn produced by Stephen Spielberg. It's really good. I also have a hillarious Comedy clip called Sir Humphrey Appleby on the proper function of government by the channel BBC Commedy Greats.

This messed me up seeing this in CW animation. It just hits hard.
It wasn’t just superimposed - they redid the whole thing from the group up. It took them four years.
1:56 This beginning scene here is part of the cancelled Clone Wars Utapau arc, which is one out of 10 total arcs which Disney sadly cancelled when they decided to cancel the clone wars show after taking over star wars in 2013. You can still watch the full unfinished Utapau arc, alongside some of the other 9 unfinished arcs in their unfinished form on YT I think. These are the actual clone wars voice actors doing the voice over here since the voice overs were finished before the story arcs were cancelled. It's cool the scene was brought back for this fan-film.

In my opinion the work that Doctor Hemlock is working on will inevitably lead to what we see with Doctor Pershing. Those Commandos we see escorting Hemlock are, according to a Wookieepedia article, Imperial Royal Clone Commandos! This implies that they're an élite variant of the Clone Commando program specially selected for the Emperor's more...personal projects. Not enough to send in his Imperial Royal Gaurds, Purge Troopers or even his élite Shock Troopers, but too important as to entrust the newly created Stormtrooper corps as of yet too inexperianced and untrustworthy to warrent access to the project. Though as we saw in Season 2 the TK's have begun to be deployed for escort missions and guard duty at Hemlock's facilities, thus suggesting a changing of the guard.
I wonder if Gaxelle will continue that Thrawn audio comic series she never finished. A second series of comics recently just begun regarding the second novel in the trilogy: "Thrawn: Alliances".

The part where anakin drops his lightsaber and then catches it is actually a from a deleted fight sequence from attack of the clones where hes fighting dooku.
Some complain about the voicing but I just saw through it and enjoyed this long dedication that was put into it 🙏❤️

Obi-Wan wasn't running away per se. He was falling back to give himself the greatest advantage in the battlefield of his own choosing. His Waterloo if you will.

It was sad seeing that deleted scene from the one deleted Clone Wars arc that I forget the name of, which obviously takes place after Ahsoka left the Jedi.
All this animation was done from scratch. As far as I'm aware, no overlaying was done.
The midair lightsaber hand swap is adapted from the deleted version of the Anakin vs Dooku fight in RotS.
You can also hear Anakin say "Padme help me" way more clearly in this.
Anakin has a point though...
Palpatine warned him the Council wanted to control the Senate, and Mace said they'd have to control the Senate after removing Palpatine. Mace went from going to talk with Palaptine, to Anakin walking in on him about to angrily kill Palpatine.
Instead of defending himself when Palpatine accused him of a hostile takeover, Mace declared himself the victor.
