In 2010 I got 3 very shiny brand new looking 1963 pennies in my change. Likely just opened from an original NOS mint roll. even in the 1980's 90's and 2000's I would encounter brand new looking 1967 dove pennies quite frequently.
I just found a MS 1962, it is the most beautiful red penny I’ve ever seen! It has a hanging 2, an off center reverse, and when you flip from the front to the back, it’s rotated clockwise a little bit
The worst is when you look through your coins find one that is rare then test it with a magnet hoping it will stick or not stick depending on the coin AND IT DOES THE OPPOSITE THIS HAPPEND TO ME WITH 3 COINSSSSSSSS!!!!🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
You won’t believe how many of these things I find in American circulation. I have accumulated over 500 of them over 8 months of searching through Pennies as a byproduct.
on my 1952 penny it looks like the 1 and 9 are connected by a thin line and there is a extra blob of copper near the 1 a slight crack runs down to the C in Canada too

How can i tell a 1962 harp/guitar penny? I can't see it on my penny, but i can't see it in the blown up example of the full penny in the vid either. My phone won't focus close to the penny as well.

going through videos and websites like these because I just got a pile of canadian currency. some fairly old, some newer, mostly paper money. I wish i knew someone who knows anything about it. I'm not interested in things that are a few dollars more or barely over face value. I just don't want to use something highly collectable.
@@neilmcmahon5433 that's what i plan on doing. I don't have an interest in keeping it since i'm not a collector and i don't like the idea of keeping that much currency around because i'm not collecting it or spending it. I found a local shop with good reviews that deals in currency and old jewelry.

All hanging varieties are die clashes. The hanging portion that a person looks for is actually the bottom of the queens chin and neck.
