Great video. Loved it.
And that bike-tire combination justifies such terrain/road for a fun ride. ❤✌🏾
What a great ride with lots of fun people...
Spoke'n Hostel is such a great place. Pat and Gillette were so kind. Mitchell and Spoke'n are some of the coolest places I've been to.
Thanks for sharing the ride along
Thanks for the excellent video: great experience / relaxed fun group / great support / beautiful scenery/ fun times
Stunning views, wonderful people, challenging ride... What's not to like about the Ochoco! Great video, Russ!! Thank you!
Beautiful video, love the story telling. Emma the dog!! Small town advocacy. Excellent. So glad to see the weather improved over last year's Suffer Fest!
I've been eagerly awaiting this video and it didn't disappoint. Glad you had better weather. Looking forward to the other parts.
Yes! Spoke'n Hostel. They're awesome! They have done a ton of work. Looks great!
Looks like an Awesome Adventure!
Rus
Ty for your channel, videos, good vibes, golden seeds of wisdom planted at party pace, and your enthusiasm for supple rides.

This was a fantastic video. Great mix of scenery, riding and story line.
Love the new music Russ. Hope the following videos have new music as well. It honestly makes the new videos more "fresh".
What an adventure.. Good job with filming and narrating... My favourite
Love the new music, looks like a great ride, you've really captured the experience.
Epic views and fantastic looking event👍and as noted, better weather this year. Well done on an enjoyable video.
What amazing landscapes, I love it
So great. Looking forward to part 2.
Nice job Russ. Great coverage off the ride and it’s people. That John Day area is a national treasure. Your vid makes me want to ride, eat a big burger and have a great beer with good folks. Thank you! : ))
A great edit. The country side is amazing
Ahh man, I think I've just added a trip to my bucket list.
If I hadn't already subscribed, THIS would be reason subscribe! Good work Russ! Great to see the Bear Claw working out on it's first ride.

Late to the party but LOVED the video. Felt like I was really along for the ride. Thank you!

Love the Spoken Hostel! A real blessing on TransAmBikeRace.
Love your videos Russ! I've been wanting to do that ride since I saw your video on it from last year. Also taking notes from your filming and editing skills. Cheers and happy pedaling!
Holy shit-sauce!! That’s a top notch video! Thanks so much for sharing it. Looks amazing
Love that country, it reminds me of the Owyhees is SW Idaho.
ah this looks like so much fun. very jealous
Wow what a stunning experience. One day....
Great video - I wish we had stuff like this in the UK. Maybe I'll throw my bike on a plane some day and visit !

Very nice ride and awesome town at the end. Take care and stay well. :-)
loved this vid, super inspired (as I recover from 2 crashes in 3 weeks).
what a beautiful side of country Oregon is
Great video!!
Thanks Russ clearly a great event and your video brings it to life. Wished we had those long traffic free trails here in the UK. Might be able to get away from Brexit then.
great video as always! Greetings from Germany
This is the way to product review!!
beautiful trail...John Day River ! I would bring my Rods with me and do some fishing...
Love that this is dog friendly!
Amazing 👌,dig it more then the first one except Laura not being able to do it !!!
On Friday we road a section of this route as an out-and-back from Priest Hole to Horseheaven. Definitely a scenic a quiet area. Don't be like us and MAKE SURE YOUR TUBELESS SEALANT IS FRESH before attempting this section! 28 miles into the 36 mile ride we had picked up about 40 thorns and barely made it back to our base camp with 4 completely flat tires.
Beautiful! Sign me up!
nice old Dahon it looks like hanging on the wall!
My cousin Berkeley makes an appearance at 13:07 mark. He said this was an amazing event!
Sweet ! I want to do this ride .
did this loop, back into Prineville 2 years ago. great 140ish miles except for the last 10 on HWY 26 back into town...
This loop manages to skip 26 altogether.
2:48 the guy has a Waterford. Sweet bike
Great video... could you do a gear overview video... what worked and what didnt? Help people out who are starting out!
nice!!!
Maaaan I gotta get out west some day.
When you come to SoCal you should organize a ride.
I just got back from a long bike trip! 2150 km!!!
Can you do a video about the different tents and the benefits and cons of each one?
Ahh Emma is the best adventure dog! Stoked you all had a great time this year with some much better weather than last! Looks like a more exciting route, too. What was the total mileage and elevation gain for this year's route?
One of the many reasons one travels by bike is to stumble upon places likes Mitchell
Great Video Russ! looks like a tough but good ride! Question : if you could speak to how handlebar bags attach to drop bar bikes? I want to get one but I am not sure how they attach. I want to be able to ride on the flats and hoods.

Is that a Half Acre bottle at 7:03? Chicago represent!
So cool! I camped along the John Day river right off the same road you guys were riding to painted hills. Such a beautiful area of Oregon. Everyone thinks of forest when they hear Oregon, but forget how diverse the geography is there.
How does the TI bike ride compared to the Cutthroat.. Thanks
does anyone know if there's anything like this in the uk?
9:57 it's Bob Crocs from #dklein OMTM
Am I jealous? Hmmmmm, yes I'm jealous.
Is Emma the dog a red heeler?
Ooohhh, aaaahhhh....Ti $$$$
Peanut butter and JEALOUS 😂😂😂
Wow,a circa 1980's parramatta eels nrl footy jersey at 10:27. Pretty unique to see that over the other side of the world.#GoAussie
What hair products do you use and recommend? Thank you.
Sun and dirt :)
Any idea what that cool step-through is at ~2:25?
Custom bike.
What is that front bag you are using?
BagsbyBird bag. We’ve reviewed it on the channel.
How much do all the extra bags / equipment that you've got on your bike weigh?
Maybe 7lbs rear and 5lbs front.
get thee an anything cradle for the front bars
Meh. Have it. Like the Carradice style bags better.
I can never quite see your bike computer, how fast are you usually going down the gravel descents like the first one?
Usually take it pretty chill. Round 20-25.
@@PathLessPedaledTV That's fast for me! I need more practice.
Hi Russ,
Can you elaborate on the problem with the G-One's tires?
I was on a tour this summer with a set of G-One Allround 29"x2,25" tubeless and for all micropunctures the sealant would just leak through without sealing anything properly. Made attempts with two other types of sealants of various thickness and the best result was just slowing the leak but not in anyway stopping it until it reached below 15psi pressure. Was not able to hold any air above that pressure. Just wondering if you had the same issue.
Bought these tires early last summer for the tour, because of great praise from other cyclists but they lasted only about 300km until I encountered this problem with them. Rolled great when they worked but on a tour I would also want reliability and durability.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated...
Problem was I built it up 2 days before the event. Sealant takes a while to set. Just added more. By the end of the 4th day it was fine. FWIW Laura has the same tires on her bike and has not had issues for weeks.
@@PathLessPedaledTV thanks for the info. I was battling this problem for about 3 weeks until I gave up and sent the tires back for a refund.
which size of the bxb goldback do you have there? and what width is the handlebar? considering one of these bags atm.
Goldback custom meant to fit between 46cm Cowchicppers.
cool thank you :)
What sort of training do you need to do for an event like this?
Would recommend riding with a full load and doing lots of hilly rides.
@@PathLessPedaledTV
Thanks mate!
What shoes did you do it in?
Blundstones!
I realize you're not joined at the hip but where's Laura?
Work
how come Day one is so long compared to the other days?
Had to have one long day to make the loop 4 days.
Wouldn’t the same be true if it was 50 each of first two days instead of 75 and 25? Or do the logistics of an earlier stop on day one not work?
Campsites and facilities to accommodate that many riders aren’t perfectly spaced out unfortunately.
It looks like an awesome few days in the mountains
I suspected that might be the issue.
Where's Laura?
Where's lori?
Work
Mudguards?!
No mud here.
Did anyone have issues with goatheads on the ride?
Yes.
Dude, you need a mountain bike with suspension! ;) Looks like a great ride, though!
Lots of monetization!
Gotta pay the bills.
I definitely enjoy all the free content you pump out, not too worried about a few ads. Btw, love the podcast, I hope you’re considering doing more of those!
anyone else watching this about ready to quit their job for the obvious reasons displayed here? lol
Cakes and pastries made with butter are boring, we want vegan alternatives! Come on rise to the challenge!
This was a fantastic video. Great mix of scenery, riding and story line.
