Seeing Pucci memes back when Golden Wind was airing made me look into the character and made me so interested in him that I read Part 6. He's my favorite villain in JoJo by a long shot and one of my favorites in anything. He's just so different, interesting, weird and most of all successful.
I get why you and most fans disagree with Pucci's philosophy that knowing your future brings happiness, so do I, but there is something appealing to it. Sometimes when you fail at something you feel sad or angry, but if you'd know earlier that you'll fail, it would have been more expected, therefore the sadness and anger could be smaller. And the fact that details may vary is helpful (for example if you internally knew you're going to talk with a close person for the last time before they die, you'd maybe say goodbye and things you wouldn't say if you thought you're gonna meet again soon). And also, if fate is predestined, there's no more feelings of regret, you can always say "it wasn't my fault, it was fate". Overall, it is taking away freedom from humans, but I can see Pucci's point of view and why he would consider it happiness, especially since Pucci with Made in Heaven is the only person who's fate is not predestined, he's the only one who can change his and other people's fate (like he changed Emporio's by acidentally inserting weather's disc inside his head and thanks to that Emporio no longer knew what comes next, his next actions were no longer fated by the new universe). And that's what I love about Pucci, I don't agree with his philosophy, but I understand it and I can see why he would think it's happiness. Im sure at some point every human wanted to know the future, simply out of curiosity.
Could you explain how Pucci betrayed Dio's teachings? I didn't fully understand that part. Great video by the way and I agree with Weather Report that the most evil thing doesn't even know that it's evil.
Ofc. So there is this line of Pucci. Something like “everything one does, it is for them selfs“. He basically says that all he does is just because of his own desire thus betraying dios teachings
@@ignis-jojo he has his own goals he believes in and honestly wants to fullfill, that however aren't selfish or material in nature. Dio said that you need a selfish f*ck like him and a selfless person like Pucci devoted to god in order to reach heaven and since Pucci managed to reset the universe he did fullfill these requirements. him and the green baby that is. Dio never taught him to be selfless. they actually only had a couple of meating over the years over which Dio began to trust him and decided he was the trustworthy friend he needed. the fact that Dio has never told Pucci about the details shows that they did not spend that much time together. they were friends and close ones at that but Pucci wasn't Dios Sith apprentice. Pucci was selfless since childhood. he met Dio in a church after all. Dio didn't have the time to teach somebody to be selfless, he needed someone who was selfless and spirutual
@@ignis-jojo How is that betraying him? He was dead already, he gave Pucci the means to attain this power over fate for his own uses. We see in eyes of heaven game SPOILERS that if Dio lived and attained this power, Pucci still follows him and helps. He even commits suicide so that the protagonists couldn't learn more about Dio's powers
I don't think people who were brought to the new universe lost their memory. One guy even mentioned that he remembers the accelerated time but assumed it was a dream.
The only difference is that Pucci believe he is righteous. While Dio, Kars, Kira and Diavolo isn't. Thought whether Pucci is the most evil or not is only a matter of opinion. But there is a real life issue like fascist or terorist who believe they aren't wrong in the slightest for doing cruel thing toward others. Are they more evil than cold blooded murderer who know what they are doing is evil?
Motivation for something is key. Is someone who kills a child that is trying to nuke a country (weird example I know) less evil then someone who does it for fun. Ofc he is
He was right abt the gravity thing tho all stand users attract to each other for no reason other than fate alone nothing he said was ever wrong I feel you can make the case he was the good guy of the part his end goal was definitely righteous enough
I love how white snake also takes stands which are a representation of the soul. So he takes souls like a devil
Scary

If Rohan made Jotaro forget what he read in Dio’s diary part 6 wouldn’t have happened
Pucci would have pursued Rohan instead of Jotaro
Most evil jojo villain is toru, he turned his headphones into airpods which didn’t even exist yet.
Real
toru supervillain drip
Pucci is by far the most tragic jojo villain

“Neccesary Evil.”
I liked the video essay!
Thanks so much!

One of the worst kind of evils is the one that isn't aware it is.

I feel this is off his actions maybe seen as evil but he does not wish to kill ppl
If the Jojo team never gets involved he would’ve made a better universe where evryone can see their fate it wasn’t selfish in my eyes

Didn’t he get mad at one of the sons of Dio cuz he put people in unnecessary danger?
damn, youtube sucks!
it does but what ever
Oh god that sucks! 😓
yeah but doesn't matter eh
🤨🇩🇪?
Yes
Actually he’s not really that evil he’s just a misunderstood, he was manipulated and turned into a Evil person who is just misguided.
The reason does not matter. He is still evil and misunderstood I disagree. His acts are evil and he is willing to murder children for his goals
@@ignis-jojo wasn’t it one of the sons of Dio that did that?
