ABSOLUTELY! I attended many concerts in my youth, but after seeing this video, I deeply regret that I never got to see the Turtles in concert. What an energetic performance, that as you said, keeps building throughout; fantastic!
This cool video shows the excitement of the crowds at rock events in the mid-1960s when The Turtles and other great groups ruled the airwaves! Happy times, compared to now. and the music then reflected that society perfectly!
Lyrics: Some girls Love to run around, Love to handle everything they see But my girl Has more fun around And you know she’d rather be with me Me oh my Lucky guy is what I am Tell you why you’ll understand She don’t fly although she can Some boys Love to run around They don’t think about the things they do This boy Wants to settle down And you know he’d rather be with you Me oh my Lucky guy is what I am Tell you why you’ll understand She don’t fly although she can Ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba Ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba Ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba Ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba Some girls Love to run around, Love to handle everything they see But my girl Has more fun around And you know she’d rather be with Yes she’d rather be with You know she’d rather be with me Ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba Ah you know she’d rather be with me Ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba Ah you know she’d rather be with me Ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba You know she’d rather be with me……
What's interesting is that after Jim Tucker left, the Turtles didn't replace him. They were a group comprising six members before his departure scaled them down to five.
That's Flo aka Mark Volman of Flo and Eddie. From what I can see in other clips he's always been a goofball. I read somewhere that he's even a college professor of music when he's not touring as Flo and Eddie. In the music clip here on YT where they're singing a song you showed me how to do exactly what you do how I fell in love with you I don't remember the name of song you can see he's high as kite in the sky.
That's the question I myself had. It turns out he was a really good harmonizer. A really good background singer. The weirdness and the tambourines?. It is weird, isn't it? Nobody knows the answer to that. He's just ....ahem....excitable.
Turtles at there best! Perfect!
What a great Rock N' Roll Band with timeless songs from the 1960's. These guys are still performing today and are just as good now.
They Always Look Like They're Having Fun, I Love To Watch Their Video Clips!!!
I had a girlfriend a bit older than I who say them in their heyday
Unbelievably talented in writing well constructed harmonic and energetic songs!
Great group!
I ❤ this song!
They should be in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!!!
Love how it builds. One of the greatest 60's bands! 1967 - what a music year...

Lyrics:
Some girls
Love to run around,
Love to handle everything they see
But my girl
Has more fun around
And you know she’d rather be with me
Me oh my
Lucky guy is what I am
Tell you why you’ll understand
She don’t fly although she can
Some boys
Love to run around
They don’t think about the things they do
This boy
Wants to settle down
And you know he’d rather be with you
Me oh my
Lucky guy is what I am
Tell you why you’ll understand
She don’t fly although she can
Ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba
Ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba
Ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba
Ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba
Some girls
Love to run around,
Love to handle everything they see
But my girl
Has more fun around
And you know she’d rather be with
Yes she’d rather be with
You know she’d rather be with me
Ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba
Ah you know she’d rather be with me
Ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba
Ah you know she’d rather be with me
Ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba
You know she’d rather be with me……

What’s with the weird guy with tambourines?

Ritalin wasn't handed out until 40 years later.
@@cmissshelleymichelle "You Showed Me" an untypical (for them) slow-tempo song.
@@tomshiba51 Handed out like candy! Over-prescribed!
