I always play “Mary Had A Little Lamb,” no chords, just single- notes melody, making sure to hit the wrong note at least twice. Then the salesperson walks away and leaves me alone.
Priceless!
Beats my bad one-finger smoke on the water 🙂
Hilarious 😅
Mary Had a Little Lamb....And I nail it!
Thanks for this! Stuff like this is great for me to learn as a newer player (to play alone in my room to myself) because I can learn a short, but complete piece that will allow me to work on my technique.
My go to is Every Rose Has It's Thorn on the acoustic. Love the content Tony!! Looking forward to seeing more.
Lovin your lessons ! Thanks !❤

Hey there Tony, will do soonish, shipping container Rien thanks again!
I really like these open voicing chords!
Thank you thank you! Beautiful progressions and so easy. New subscriber and will definitely look into your programs.
Great stuff
Summertime is also another good one with lead and rythm as it exposes the frequency range of the guitar well along the neck
Yeah, great tune!
Thanks for the video, gonna give it a bash.
Sounds great
Really like this one Tony.✌.
Thank you for a great Video, you made it so easy. 👋🤟
Great info
Watched your vids for a while and such simple ways to play stuff so I subbed,
I came up with my own progression to sound cool competent, and since i wrote it, no one knows if i mess it up.
I like that thanks will try.
My tester guitar song is Baby’s Coming Home by Jerry Reed, Played by Chet Atkins! I’m a fingerstyle player, so I always use my warm up song to get a good feel of a guitar
Thanks Tony!
I've watched a few lessons and really enjoyed them thanks colin subscribed
Awesome, thank you!
Cheers Tony, looking forward to a visit to a guitar shop 😛
Thanks there Tony, really appreciate the variation and your particular style, your methodology and teaching is fantastic cheers mate, from SOUTH AUSTRALIA, shipping container blues!, Off-grid

You are very welcome my friend! Enjoy 🤘🎸
Wish you were here
Geat vid.
Super!!!!
i like to play blackbird for some easy finger picking and then just something made up on the spot for a bit of rhythm and lead
Hi Tony
Love your lessons they are really helpfull great licks aswell
Where abouts in Lanarkshire are you?🎸🎸🎸
Jean Genie, Bowie. Only tried playing a few months ago, in my Autumn years. For some reason I can get my head round it. I strum well, but have trouble with the chords.
Great !
Thank you!
Acoustic, for some reason i play "I walk the line" or a progression just like yours.
Electric, its always the main riff of "Parissienne Walkways" by Gary Moore & Phil Lynott
I just love it
Thanks John!
My guitar doesn’t have a “sexth” fret😂. I wish it did!
Thanks, Tony.
All my frets are sexthy 🤭
@@GuitarMEcan you please note down the strumming pattern, i can’t figure it out
I play "Blackbird".
Groovy Baby 10-4 Great Shoe Happy Holidays
I always play an A2-Low E string, Index finger-5th fret, Open A, 3rd finger-D str, 7th fret, G str, Mid finger 6th fret, B str open, E str open....Try It!
I love this…….thanks……🏴🇦🇺
Kid Rock's "Only God Knows Why". My go to for warm up.
Travis: “ Why does it always rain on me” enough chord variation to check tone etc. easy to play for a relatively new player( like me!) 👍🏻
Great song! Love Travis!
I always start with smoke on the water on one string, then wonderwall and finish with the intro to stairway to heaven 😂
E A B or A D E all up and down the neck using different triads sounds great. Throw in some hammers, trills or drop D if I'm in A. Instant melody.🎸
Cool
Jerrys Breakdown ..never fails..
I often play something by Pink Floyd, because they are my absolute favorite band.
I enjoyed your video. 👍
Do you know with your accent you make the same vowel sound for "E" as you do for "A"?
Particularly hard for us Aussies to understand that. 🤔
Great lesson - and by the skipper of a Norwegian trawler too! 😂
I play the things I normally like to play (usually blues stuff) because I'm tryong to compare to the feel and sound of what I have.
can someone please note down the strumming pattern, i can’t figure it out
was with ye all the way till the end ....im wanting to sign up but am trying to get over my disability I be with ye soon though would be better in new year is this free trial for the week gunna be repeated again Tony
Hey Tony, this always sounds nice, just moving that E around. Very pleasant, indeed. My guitar shop go-to is “Baby Lemonade” by Syd Barrett. I just like playing that simple, strange intro. Thank you for another smashing upload! It’s always a good time watching your videos! I rarely comment, but I would just like to note how much I appreciate your complete lack of ego and bravado; that sickness which seems to plague nearly every other guitar channel. They all try so hard to impress us…it’s tawdry and tasteless. Your ways are the polar opposite, and that’s a breath of fresh air. So cheers to you! Have a great day, my friend!
Hey Andy, it was so lovely to read your comment man. Thanks for taking the time to write it. It’s took me a while to be myself on camera and let go so I really do appreciate that feedback man. Thank you for supporting the channel. Means a lot brother 🤘
@@GuitarME what a nice reply, man! That made MY day. Good on ya. 😎🤝🤘
I'm trying to relearn guitar after switching to bass.I became absorbed with bass and I believe it has made playing guitar harder because it seems so cramped due to the smaller neck plus extra strings.
Stairway to heaven!!!
As someone just setting out your posts are wonderful. No over technical or music theory, just feel. These are incredibly useful and are building my confidence. Can’t thank you enough!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Aw so glad you like the lessons man! Makes it all worth it :)
Nice I like it at the store I play an arrangement a friend and I came up with called Mongolian Sunrise … in Am
Oooh that sounds mysterious 😎🎸🤘
Stairway to Heaven, and Smoke on the Water, are good ones. Thank you so much, Tony
🤣
Late Winter, Early Spring by John Denver
Yellow tree, works for me
‘39 by Queen. Written by Brian May.
Hi, it would be helpfull to have the strumming script, Thanks
Where is my mind by the Pixies is my Go - To song for a new acoustic.
Those chords reminded me of The Who's song Sparks off Tommy .
Time in a bottle by Jim Croche. Or “Life’s been Good” by Joe Walsh if an electric.
Hey Tony, I'd probably initially just play any chord progression (in the same key of cause!). Then I'd move on to one of my own songs. When I bought my amazing Maton ER90c I spent 2 hours trying four different Matons before making the decision.
Awesome! I need to try a Maton someday :)
(in the same key of cause!). Same key of COURSE
A would play a guitar 😮
Not been to a guitar store for a while but I'd probably play My Hero by Foo Fighters. It's simple but effective.
Is it nice running a lighthouse?
I play Willin’ from Little Feat
Blues improv in the key of E. I like to try out the entire fretboard.
An original song - close my eyes and sing over the top of my very basic chords and strumming and it’s just me, the song and someone else’s guitar 😉
I'll play Blackbird or Dust in the Wind. Sometimes Malted Milk though.
I usually go with Sugar Mountain by Neil Young
Usually some bars of Good time Charlie’s Got the Blues.
Black Bird is my go-to song or The Truth by Prince. The beginning lick on The Truth gets people's attention usually, not on purpose. You always have the guy playing an electric turned up to 11 tapping or trying to play a metal song badly. I like to mess with them. I will grab an Ibanez and started playing Limelight by Rush standing next to them. They usually sneak off to hang the guitar up and leave.
Any Neil young number ...I play Tonight. Although on that nice D35 it would have to be 'Wish you were here of course .' 😊
Great lessons my friend . First class.
Yip, had to be done! Thank you my friend!
Only love can break your heart. Wish I could play that.
Metalica nothing else matters. And some of your stuff bud 😮
Oooft I still haven’t learned that but it is on my list! And I’m honoured that you play some of my licks too :)
U live in Ireland 🇮🇪 dude??
Where can I get these tabs? I figured out most of it, but need a little help.
Blue eyes crying in the rain (willy nelson)
Love oor Willie!
Stairway to Heaven, Sweethome Alabama, Xanadu, or Enter Sandman. I get thrown out quickly, but it saves me money in the long run!
Good video....thanks for posting.....love that accent you have.....said the Yankee from Ohio...Haha....Thanks again!
12 bar blues.
I.d play peaceful easy feeling
Classic!
Nice lava lamp!
Great video ……. Can u clarify which strings u are strumming….. is it all strings or from the A down or Adgb …..?.??
Sounds great …. Thks for your vids …
With these cord variations you can technically strum every string. On the E chord that's obvious but even in an A chord there is technically an e note on the a string and the open high e so by playing an A chord with all 6 strings you are just using another E note which is commonly referred to as an A/E chord.
Thks for the info
I claim I'm buying a guitar as a gift for my nephew and then ask the employee to play a few songs since I don't know how to play.
Play "Stairway". ha ha man
I would plea insanity 🤖
I retune the guitar, play the rain song and run
Definitely NOT Stairway to Heaven 👀
My showpiece song would be"Over The Hills And Far Away"
I play apache
I played Nothing Else Matters by Metallica when itried out my acoustic
Twinkle twinkle little star with a few bum notes and if they dont do one I launch into "Kennedy" By the Wedding Present. 😀
Dust in the wind and a few links from some guy named Tony
Classic! And I’m honoured!
Turn of a friendly Card (Alan Parsons Project)
I’d play either Stairway to heaven or Smoke on the water.
You made me chuckle.
What I play in a guitar shop depends on how pushy the staff are. If the assistant is standing around, telling me how great the guitar is and generally being in my face, I usually start with a Chet Atkins number - something like 'Baby's Coming Home' or 'Windy and Warm'. They usually wander off then and leave me alone for a good 30 mins.
😂😂😂
I play the intro from ‘Blackbird’, not in perfect McCartney style, but well enough so the shop staff hopefully know I’m not a complete muppet… this progression of yours is very nice, though…
I’d play the classic..mind block😂😁😁play a song😬😬
