It can be difficult. The way I went in is okay at half tide or better, but in through Blacks and then Browns gutters is probably the best bet at lower tides.
Thanks for the commentary and diagrams mate, wish I had seen it before today. Got stuck a few times today getting from Rous to day gutter. Navionics/Garmin plotter was useless, mostly looked for dark patches, but not always possible. Might try a different route next time
You're welcome. Best way in is likely to be from the Rous into browns gutter (by eyeball) and then across into Days Gutter. Around the bottom where I went is fine on half tide. Approaching from the south inside the bar used to be the best but I haven't been in that way for many years so it may have changed.
@@weFishAU I was talking with his grandson a couple of weeks ago, I ran into him at Lota Ck. boat ramp. It's marked as Days, I've always known it as Dave's Gutter. Cheers.
I haven't been able to turn up anything on Dave's Gutter yet but I thought you might find this interesting. peterlud.wordpress.com/category/gutter-bar/
@@weFishAU that is so excellent mate. That means the bloke at the ramp and his old man were bullshitting me. I know people in Victoria Point, family some of them, that swear it's Dave's gutter but apparently not. Thanks heaps mate, I'll read it all tonight then I'm fully loaded to call bullshit on Dave's gutter. Cheers big ears.
Thank you. And thanks for the info. I just got back from there and I wondered about Brown and Black gutter as I went past on the Navionics route. The Navionics route is doable, but I wouldn't use it on a low tide. I will have to try the old South East entry next time, I thought I saw a couple of trailer boats come in that way.

Wish I saw this before our attempt today 😂 Thanks heaps mate.

Thanks again mate for your video, and your fishing knowledge in and around Moreton Bay
Cheer
No problem 👍
It's actually Dave's Gutter and he opened the bar there. I met him several times, great bloke. His grandson is still in Brisbane.
I have never heard that. It's marked on the maps as Days Gutter. Interesting, I'll have to do some research. Thanks.

Great Series. I use the brown and black gutter to get into Days Gutter, the entrance from the South East I think is no more.

Do a video on the deep trench behind between Green and Harry's
I am planning to mention it in one of the next few videos.
Graet Channel . Do you by any chance have Gold Coast video ?
Thank you. I did one a year or so ago but the Gold Coast isn't somewhere I have fished very much.
@@weFishAU Can you send me a link to view it ? thanks

I’ve eaten at the gutter bar. Personally I wouldn’t rate the food. But I guess when you have no competition beggars can’t be choosers.
Perhaps it is the amber liquid that entices customers in, rather than the cuisine.
I ate there today, it was pretty decent at island prices, amber water was cold and didn't hit the side
