Join us as we take a breathtaking boat ride in Antoinette our Jeanneau Merry Fisher 895 from the Gold Coast to Moreton Island! This is part of our "Anchorage of the Gold Coast" series although we are a long way from the Gold Coast. Along the way, you'll experience the beauty and bumps of the open water, with stunning views of the coast and the opportunity to spot dolphins and other marine life. Once we arrive at Moreton Island, we investigate the Tangalooma wrecks and go snorkeling in crystal clear waters, with the boating poplution of Brisbane and the Gold Coast out on the water as well.. Whether you're an experienced boater or just looking for a fun day out on the water, this trip is sure to be an adventure you won't forget! Just be sure the winds have some East in them otherwise might be an adventure you won't forget for all the wrong reasons.

Just watched this video for a second time. Very interesting. You are lucky to have these sort of places to explore. Amazingly clear and turquoise waters. Looking forward to the next one.

Very lucky but it takes a bit of fuel.to get up there. Filling up after that trip wasn't cheap!

@@TheRudder True Damien. However there is no point owning and maintaining a boat unless you use it. Good to try different places sometimes.

@@TheRudder Anytime I want to Damien. My boat is berthed at a Marina in Poole Harbour ( second in size to Sydney). It is afloat at all stages of the tide but I do have to pass through to opening bridges ( operated every hour). However this very cold weather doesn’t make it an attractive proposition to flush through the engines. So probably in March.
If you look at Google Maps you can see our cruising area. The Isle of Wight and the Solent are favourites and not too far. However hope to get down to Dartmouth and Salcombe this spring/summer. If you check the distance you can see that it will mean a big fuel bill filling up those 600 litres of fuel. I have the tanks kept full to prevent moisture in the winter. Plus a heater and dehumidifier running on shore power in the winter to keep damp at bay. Regards to you both and look forward to the next 895 video
