he look just like him,i wonder how many random people in let say London actually are of aristocrat and royal blood. Not all bloodlines died of. The actor might be descendant of well known family.
The actor play this role to perfection. I love this new side of the tudors, every adaption of Edward that he was frail and sickly and never got to leave his room. Being told your going to die over and over but he was a healthy boy at the beginning. Slowly his personality changes and became his fathers son from scared little boy to a king. This uncles fighting over his power, his sisters feuding and the one person he needed was his mother.
Omg I think he is the most perfect actor to play Edward VI. I mean his physique is EXACTLY like Edward VI's portrait, Light hair, and pale skin. He's perfect and good Actor ❤
That is because Henry did not have any younger brothers. Richard III was the younger brother of Edward IV and was the rightful heir should "anything have happened" to Edward's sons. The Seymours were not in the line of succession, they were merely brothers to Henry's third wife and the uncles of Edward. Even if they had toppled him from the throne, neither would have been recognized as King. The next in line was Mary, and the Protestants did not want that.
Not much is known as he never ruled on his own as he died at 15. The biggest law he did was to change the succession rules, the one passed by his father naming his sisters as heir, by removing them from the succession line and replacing them with his cousin Jane Grey. He was very sick when he signed that act and it was really the brainchild of his Regent, John Guilford who also happened to be Jane Grey's father-in-law, thus he made his son, Dudley Guilford the King.
@@janefelix3821Yes.I knew that. I Also knew he died Young but not that Young.I always felt sorry for Jane Grey who payed with her life for that conspiracy.

It was due to the death of Henry. Edward and Elizabeth were recorded as weeping upon hearing of his death. On the other hand, early modern European cities were cramped with rotting bodies put on display. As nation states centralized and the development of the economy widened social inequalities, the Law began to really fall harshly upon criminals, and hundreds of thousands of impoverished Europeans were executed in this time. Even to a nine year old boy like Edward, such a thing would've been a common sight, and he would've likely been as desensitized to it as people today are upon seeing homeless people.
BWHAAHAHAAHA!!!!!!!! Oh my God, this is RIDICULOUS! Up the stairs at Wells Cathedral into a long gallery at Longleat or Knole or some other Tudor-era house? Are they SERIOUS? *falls over laughing*
The actor playing Edward looks a LOT like the Edward we see in contemporary portraits. Good job, casting director!

All of them look alike except for Elizabeth
@@Lana96269 and Henry VIII
I agree
Same with edward seymour he really does look like the painting

Edward VI & Edward Seymour look VERY much like thier portrets, I must say
Jinx! ITA.
Ikr!
True!
So he must look like his mother Jane Seymour not Henry.. lol

I heart Edward in this film. And I just realized how dangerous this was, the last boy king was Edward V. 😳😰 Thankfully that didn't happen to Edward.
Well *that* didn't happen, but both Edward V and VI died extremely young. Twelve and fifteen years old, respectively.
Ще Людовік 17-й.

Casting for both Edwards is amazing
These actors are brilliant so believable ❤
I know very little about king Edward VI ´s story. He died so young. I only remember his character from the novel "The Prince and the Pauper."
poor boy 😞
They say in terms of personality he was more like his grandfather, Henry VII than his father

They have his diary/journal. He seemed to be a mini tyrant in the making.
Poor kid, they had no childhood!
No childhood as WE (in the 21st century) would define it. A young man or woman of that time would be studying, and quite possibly be betrothed.
@@gidzmobug2323 he probably had not much time to be a kid.

Nice and strong scene! I like the actor playing Edward VI, seems very good on the role. Thanks for posting Lili!
Never send a boy king to do a man's job.
Great actor playing Edward
Which one?
Lol Lord Somertset you're wrong, I bet Henry cried everyday
Feel sorry for him Jane Grey and Catherine Howard. Just kids who had no life.
The actor who plays Edward truly looks like him. On another note, that is the worst soundtrack I've ever heard.
Poor young Edward. His father's body is barely cold and yet the vultures are swarming this young child. And so the power grab begins. More's the pity.
cool
What is the idea of the clangy music at the beginning? Sounds a bit odd in the 16th century.
The music is anachronistic
It’s not incidental music.
It's crap anti-copyright violation music.
What is this soundtrack?
Why is he crying is it because of his father or that guy rotting in the gibbet?

@@darrynmurphy2038 Are you suggesting that we put the homeless in the gibbet? Interesting thought. Let me think about it.
his father's death. the boy just lost his father.
Where is Elizabeth? From what I haveread, Elizabyand Edward were together when they letned of Henry's death.
This is not the scene when they learn of Henry's death.
