Excellent advise. We need to take every point to heart. I would like to add hand washing. Few things make me want to yell at someone more than seeing them come out of a stall and leave without washing their hands. It's selfish and disgusting. They are the ones spreading norovirus and other sicknesses and they should be ashamed of themselves.
Yes, they are all common courtesies that you would think would resonate with people. The common theme I tried to stick with was to be respectful to one another. Hopefully those that watch will think twice before doing any of this on a cruise or in any public setting. Thanks so much for sharing and for watching!
One of my biggest pet peeves is when people bum rush the elevator and do not let the people exit the elevator or let mobility challenged folks enter first. Another is seeing people use the restrooms and walk out without going nowhere near the sink, or ignoring crew reminding them to washy washy before entering the line. Almost forgot theater rows being saved by 1 person.
The elevator thing is a great one - I have seen guests in those scooters have to wait over and over. The bathroom is a common but disgusting one everywhere, even on land. We go to a really great Chinese buffet here at home and I have seen the lack of hand washing in there too. Hopefully the theme here of being respectful will have some people think twice. Thanks for sharing and for watching!
Thank you! The goal is to hopefully spread that respectful message without lecturing and have somebody think twice. Thanks so much for sharing and for watching!
I have been on quite a few cruises, and it never fails. Someone always blowing their nose at the dining area with the napkin . That the spoons, forks, and knives are rolled in that is so gross. 😢
Ouch! That's a nasty one. At least they used the napkin and covered their face. I have done a few behind the scenes tours on ships and their laundry facilities are huge and amazing. At least we can be assured that they are washed and cleaned extremely well. Thanks for sharing and for watching!
I cruise often and was on the adults only deck when children showed up a very politely asked him to leave and suggested they return to their camp LOL also on a different cruise on the same ship again in the adults only area a lady was over served and was being so loud I went to use the restroom was 50 ft away behind two closed doors and could still hear her as if I was next to her another the bar tender asked her to please lower her voice or leave the area point to bring up well in the dining room amongst mixed company do not bring up religion or politics
I think that I have sailed with that lady and her husband! They also had very colorful vocabularies. LOL. I'm glad to hear that the crew member took the initiative to improve the situation for the other guests. I have also been in some awkward table sharing moments in the main dining room while sailing solo. I actually changed tables on one sailing to a solo table for two. It was much more enjoyable. There is always a good solution, especially on bigger ships. You can just go somewhere else. Thanks for sharing and for watching!
These are actually a very small percentage of people & you’ll find the same in any public setting or venue. Cruising is so amazing and these situations are just a bit exaggerated since it might ruin an amazing moment in an otherwise awesome experience! Don’t let them ruin your experience.
I think there is a big difference from those with a chronic cough and those that are sick and make no attempt to protect those around them. I had a gentleman behind me in the theater with a chronic cough and he was so nice to point out that it was not anything to worry about. He advised everyone around him if they gave him a concerned look.
We were on the ICON first week of March and kids were sitting at some of the bar stools and also the swim up bar. The parents laughed and thought it was funny. 😂
My days at IU Bloomington were some of the best times of my life! I have so many life long friends from that period. Go Hoosiers! Thanks so much for supporting the channel and for watching!
You can’t tell a smoker not to smoke. Smokers will almost always find ingenious ways of trying to get away with it. Smokers often have no concept, of how bad the air smells with cigarette smoke, nor do they care.
You're right. It is true. Hopefully we have informed a few but there are still several that will smoke on the balcony and ruin everyone's day on that side of the ship. I am an ex smoker and will not ever understand how you can ever promote your smell to the rest of society. Just being real and just being honest.
Saving seats in the theatre and other entertainment venues is another NO NO. What you DON'T mention is that a lot of these behaviors could be eliminated if the ship's management is circulating around their departments.

That is a great one! I unfortunately have seen that more than I would like to as well. Thanks as always for sharing and for watching!
What is wrong with people? All these are common courtesies.

People are not being taught common courtesies anymore. It's a me. Me. Me world.

Well stated!! People listen up and follow the rules and b respectful of others and the crew staff!

Argh so annoying. Really puts me off cruising.

My poor husband has a chronic cough from lung radiation so his cough is often unavoidable

Hello there

That is an excellent point. I do see the chair hog issue being enforced more these days. Thanks for sharing and for watching!
