Love the fact that after all these years they are still unashamedly Christian. Not corny, not fince sitters, not gimmicky, just authentic to who they are and the music is still top-notch. I absolutely love this band. They were my introduction into metal almost 2 decades ago.
I am not even a christian, in fact, I am an (agnostic, that's an distinction important to me) atheist and the older I am, the more difficult I find it to believe in anything. But I am also an old metalhead, which is how 've stumbled over this band in the first place, and I love their music. And although I do not share their faith, I can still feel the power of their's and how one can feel it in and through their music and I appreciate it a lot.
'Infected' is one of my most favourite metal songs of all time and at the moment, I am really in a rough spot in life and sometimes have a hard time finding the strength to keep moving - and 'Stone' and 'I Will Fail You' have somewhat become personal hymns of mine.

Unless your in on the secret that they claim Jesus, you wouldn't really be able to know. I own their first 8 records then gave up. Thier lyrics are to opaque to be any real encouragement, to clouded to be any witness to a lost world, and to dark to bring light.
@UP L1 TRIANGLE RIGHT Funny there are Christian Metal bands with very powerful spirit filled lyrics. So no need to go straight praise. Atleast DH is clean and they are talented. Yet seem all to willing to be a dim light with mostly cryptic lyrics.... Just wish they would step out of the so so shadows and be the inferno they could be that's all.

Same here! Almost twenty years i first heard them in my last year of high school with their Triptych Album which was like the first album i got then i got the others, i now have War and Peace all i need is this album and their very first album and my collection be complete!

@@grind4christ777 Not sure about him, but I saw them on the Tripytch and Storm the Gates of Hell tours. Saw bands like Zao, Living Sacrifice, Advent, Becoming the Archetype, and August Burns Red on those tours. Some of the best shows I’ve ever seen.
I discovered Demon Hunter back in 2008, just after a "nervous breakdown" and being diagnosed with a collection of mental illnesses, long story, just wanted to say that DH's lyrics and music is one of few things that help me focus my helter skelter thoughts and emotions. I now have collected each and every album, have several Deluxe Editions, well, you have touched my broken heart and helped bring calm to my broken mind, thank you from my very Heart of Hearts, I find much hope in your music, God bless.

What a display of geniusness -- they put out the single NO ONE was expecting! Hardcore track, reinforced by the garage-like music video, and delivering a strong message all in one. Exile will be a masterpiece.
I listened to these guys from high-school, through college, two wars, and now I'm sitting on the couch watching my kids grow up. Demonhunter still putting out original stuff. Pretty dang incredible.

Been a massive fan since Summer Of Darkness and I've never been so surprised by a first track. I'm excited to see what this album has in store.

Also the album that made me a fan. My senior year for basketball senior night, everyone else listed stuff like 50 cent as their favorite album. Mine was summer of darkness. I agree, I am really digging this song. Definitely different, but love it. I also feel that lately, Ryan's screams have been on a new level as well. Sounds great!

DEMON HUNTER are simultaneously showing fans their ability for relevance in the contemporary music scene while also wearing their influences openly for all to hear. Myself, I hear a lot of stylistic moments of The Clark Bros.' pre-DH outfit TRAINING FOR UTOPIA (that featured Ryan and sibling, former DH drummer Don Clark) in this number... which is both quite killer and prophetic.

My interpretation of this song, division is getting worse, liberty is taken away, the ones who are in power, politics, wants everyone to worship them. If not, anyone, becomes their enemies. Ryan Clark probably wrote the lyrics into a different approach. The new album is going to be conceptual.
