I am happy to report that pits at metal shows always tend to have that sort of etiquette and looking out for each other. A major rule of the pit is if someone falls down, you pick them up. I was at a show (It was a Trivium show), and my glasses fell off in the pit during Trivium. I immediately stopped where I was standing and started looking around. Folks around me noticed and asked me what I was looking for. Moments later everyone backed away to open up the floor and a ton of people using their cellphone flashlights searched for my glasses. They were found!
Also, I've been to a Five Finger Death Punch concert and they pull the kids off the floor on to the stage so they don't get hurt on the songs that things get wild. The concept is everyone is there to have fun and no one wants anyone to get hurt or lose anything.
Yep, that's true. I went to a Behemoth concert in Munich years ago. I was fairly buzzed, had a beer in my hand, and next thing I know some guy reached his hand down to me to pick me up. I looked down at my beer and only the neck of it remained. I then started to mosh lol.
Being a former satanic metal head, I listened to bands like Slayer, Napalm Death and King Diamond. Therefore, slow melodic church music was not going to win me over. I got introduced to Demon Hunter before I became a Christian. I liked them; and, bought one of their albums. Shortly after.... I accepted Jesus Christ into my life. That was in 1999. Praise God. I saw demon hunter in concert years ago right around the time they released the summer of darkness album. I didn't know anything about them but they were great so I bought the cd and I think it is the only time I have ever been disappointed in a cd because they are so much better live. Not that the cd is bad, its great too.
I'll second this. I got to see I Prevail, Crown the Empire, and Hollywood Undead in concert. The pit for HU was pretty crazy, and still the entire thing got stopped and 4 people turned their phone lights on because one dude had dropped his phone somewhere. Agreed. Fell at my first metal concert (Gigantour 08 with Children of Bodom and Megadeth) while getting thrown in the air in the mosh pit. Wound up with a concussion so I don’t remember much but apparently everyone stopped and picked me up and got me back to my dad

Yeahm, @Patric Holensaber is right, most but not all, I've heard many stories of different things happening and the whole crowd stopped but I've heard stories and seen when some were just out of control... "depends on the crowd"
I remember a secular mosh pit I was in at a local metal show. I tore a ligament in my ankle, fell down screaming in the middle of the pit. So as far far as mosh pits go, at least metal pits, there is a unwritten protocol. There to have fun, not to hurt somebody. I recently was at a concert of a christian hiphop artist (guvna B) with a friend that has some walking difficulties. Great video, I love this channel! That mosh pit story about losing the shoe brought back some memories, happened to my friend when we went to see Kreator 😂 It's basic mosh pit "etiquette" I guess. People generally help you find what you lose and help you up if you fall down. We all really care about each other
Cool video reaction. 2 Fun fact that I have notice in many moshpits I have been in 1) when a person falls somebody will pick you up as quick as possible and 2) belongings shoes, phones, hats, etc that falls in that pit someone will pick it up and hold it. Even tho everyone is bashing each other in the pit there is still some respect for everyone.
Amazing band and an amazing song! I discovered them 2 years ago and I was surprised how good the music fit with the lyrics. You did an awesome reaction on it. Ty :)
That happens in all moshpits. I saw wage war and Oceans Ate Alaska last year and the whole thing stopped so they could find my Syracuse hat. Funny thing was I wasn’t even in the pit anymore when someone found it so someone crowd surfed on stage and gave it to the singer and in the middle of the song he asked who lost it and threw it to me.
Same!! Just love their biblical lyrics and musical style :D So thankful God is working through them and to get to be a part of this heavy music styled worship!
I would honestly love to hear and see you preach. You seem like you connect to all kinds of age groups. Always look forward to watching another video from you guys. Great video.
Pastor, Thank you for what you do! I appreciate what you do!! I have been a youth leader for my church and music is a big portion of my ministry with the kids. Keep up the great work sir!
I'll be honest this is my first video I've seen from you guys and it actually surprises me. Every time I've shown Demon Hunter to my fellow Christians they've always shown shock until I took the time to explain the lyrics (because I bother to read those). It's always nice to see people having an objective opinion, even more so to see them take to the bible to explain their point of view.
W.A.S.P. - Galgotha. The band was formed in the 80's and the bands name meant We Are Sexual Perverts. In 2010 Blackie Lawless, the lead singer, came back to the faith he left as a teenager and became born again. This song is a really intensely emotional song and I believe you will love it!!
I appreciate the video's and observations. I have never heard the band say but I had always thought of this song in relation to Luke 19:41 as JESUS wept over the city.
I'm brand new to this channel so I don't know if this already has been requested a lot, but you guys probably would have a lot of fun and content to discuss by listening to some August Burns Red - maybe even like the music (I absolutely do). They play metalcore, but have so much creativity and playfulness in a way, lots of other bands in that specific subgenre lack. Anyway love the content your channel offers. Keep it up and God bless.
I only just discovered your channel today due to your Square Hammer reaction, decided to look through your other stuff, and found this. I've been a Demon Hunter fan for many many years. You mentioned the first Demon Hunter show you saw, at the House of Blues, and when it was, and that started me thinking. I looked you up and where you are a pastor, so you must mean HoB Orlando. I was totally at that show! It was my first time seeing them after being a fan for so long, and sadly the only time I've seen them. Awesome to see someone so local that I can relate to.
I sincerely appreciate the way you approach your videos and that you are respectful of others opinions. While we may disagree religiously, you are clearly a good person and your incredibly open minded. Your opinion and voice matters in a world where people shut themselves out. Best of wishes friend to you and your family and I hope your new year is off to an amazing start
Pretty cool channel; Funny, interesting and having a positive message and also real cool to see a father and son’s perspective views crossing genres and generational gaps in music. Nice. Good Job Guys.
I love this band and song! Glad you did this 1! And i didn't know about the belief of the soul hovering for 3 days, so that's a pretty cool thing i just learned.
ive been to several metal concerts and anytime someone loses something somebody picks up and holds it up! also, I think you guys should react to Fit for a king: oblivion its a fantastic song by another Christian group
Demon Hunter is heavy, really enjoy a lot of their work. Spoken really "spoke" to me, haha, they were on repeat on my playlist for a long time. Thanks for the review!
I really appreciate what you guys are doing ! Thank you so much !! It's so hard to find good music with a good message ! I'd love to see you do Carry on by Memphis may fire . They aren't under a Christian label but Matty the lead singer has talked openly about his faith and speaks of it his music .
Loved the anecdote at the beginning of the clip, btw I've never heard the term ''Christian moshpit'' before, it cracked me up a bit (most of the moshpits I have ever been are very friendly tho, despite the hitting. ) Love your content, keep doing what you do, it's nice to see open-minded religious people sharing their thoughts.
I have Christian beliefs but I don't go to church or anything so I don't know if I'm considered a Christian.I grew up going to church though. These videos are really helpful and I love the way you explain the verses, it makes more sense now that I'm older. Thanks!
You dont have to go to church to be a Christian. Believe on the lord Jesus Christ, his death, burial and resurrection! Grace, it's a gift from God. People make salvation way to complicated, with God it's simple and to the point. God bless.
I love Demon Hunter, but if you think they are heavy, you should check out some Unblack Metal (Christian Black Metal) bands like Crimson Moonlight, Antestor, Horde, Grave Declaration, etc.
@@ShadowReaver573, that would be what you call something like "KKK Metal" or "White Supremacist Metal". It relays a wrong meaning. Some people call it "Unblack Metal", but some (like myself) call it "Christian Black Metal". This just clearly states the musical style and lyrical content the best
I've found your videos through your reaction to Five Finger Death Punch's Wrong Side of Heaven, and now this! I love Demon Hunter!! Demon Hunter is part of a record label called Solid State Records, where ALL of the bands are Christian metal! So you should check out Fit For A King
"clearly shows his humanity" Actually enjoyed the song although it's a little heavy for my taste. Great job P-Rob and G-Man. I'm glad you beat us to the request for right in two so I don't have to mention it anymore. Can't wait. Peace✌️
Really enjoyed the video guys! I've recently discovered this band although I grew up listening to metal, and funnily enough hip hop too. I've been building a relationship with God for a while now, maybe a year, and I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour 2 weeks ago today. So I had this itch for metal after not listening to it for years, and I looked for Christian metal but was a little concerned it would be pretty weak, and after finding a UA-cam compilation of what I suppose would be classed as screamo, I was a little disheartened. But I persevered and found Demon Hunter, A Plea For Purging, War Of Ages and a few others that really go for it! I really enjoyed how you broke down the song into an actual scriptural lesson, I have this thirst for knowledge and I've been attending a Bible study at the church I found. It's been a great journey. God bless you :)
I saw August burns red, miss may I, fit for a king, and in my opinion the best live band I've seen due to their energy was crystal lake. Absolutely killed it as an opener although they all did good minus the clean vocals in fit for a king
OMG Demon Hunter AND Spoken. Great lineup for your first concert as a Christian hahahahaha amazing. I'm loving these videos Pastor Rob! Demon Hunter = my favorite band that and For Today.
Watching your reaction got me pumped up. Ive been to dozens of big metal shows and concerts, but demon hunter was one of my favorites... when I was young my parents would take us to the christian book store. I'd listen to the demo cd's. I popped DH into the CD player, summer of darkness recently came out. I got them to buy it for me that day. It was also December. So every year I listen to that album because it is my christmas music.
“ I’m why Jesus wept” .Yes very deep meaning. Why? Even with all that those people physically seen and heard what Jesus said and did they still didn’t believe or see.Jesus wept for the hardness of their hearts and nothing has changed to this day concerning this condition. This generation shall not pass. Just as from the beginning even now few believe and see.
I have to say that, i havent gone to church in many years, i have a personal faith that i dont even know what part of Catholic or christian religion it belongs too (im told protestant), but if there was a pastor like Pastor Rob, id go to church more... Used to have a Pastor many many years ago when i did go, he used kids toys and comedy to do his sermons every week. he then retired and i never went back. Im glad i found your channel on here..thank you

Funny thing was I wasn’t even in the pit anymore when someone found it so someone crowd surfed on stage and gave it to the singer and in the middle of the song he asked who lost it and threw it to me.
That awesome.
Wolves at the Gate is my favorite Christian metal band. Hope you'll check them out!
Scott D YESSS
Yes!
Same!! Just love their biblical lyrics and musical style :D
So thankful God is working through them and to get to be a part of this heavy music styled worship!
Bird and the Snake is my favourite song!
When the music video launched I flipped!
Yeah WATG is amazing! I also really appreciate their biblical lyrics.
I would honestly love to hear and see you preach. You seem like you connect to all kinds of age groups. Always look forward to watching another video from you guys. Great video.
I love this band! Been listening to them for years!
Pastor,
Thank you for what you do!
I appreciate what you do!!
I have been a youth leader for my church and music is a big portion of my ministry with the kids.
Keep up the great work sir!
Another Cristian metal band... Norma Jean, very intresting band. I see you from Argentina. Good Job!
eee wachin
hay que decirle que escuche hermética jajaaj
Red is good i would say maybe review Faceless its an amazing song
metalcore
Norma Jean hasn't been a Christian band in MANY years.
Love love love Demon Hunter!!! I have all their CDs.Saw them in concert in Vegas when I lived there.
sent this to my Mom last night! As always great lesson, and music! Thanks!
Those are two great bands you were introduced to. I have seen both of them before and together. Super cool guys. Keep making great videos
They have a new deluxe album out now. War and peace
I remember seeing the House of Blues sign for this show while in Myrtle Beach for a family vacation in '06. Crazy!
I am a atheist but this band is incredible!! thank you pastor ROb
Awesome! Glad you liked it. I’m going to be doing an unboxing and a give away of their new album when it releases. Stay tuned. ☺️
Been a fan of demon Hunter for over 8 years. Very good musicianship and they always attempt be honest to the art.
Craig Loomis Why are you an atheist?
I only just discovered your channel today due to your Square Hammer reaction, decided to look through your other stuff, and found this. I've been a Demon Hunter fan for many many years. You mentioned the first Demon Hunter show you saw, at the House of Blues, and when it was, and that started me thinking. I looked you up and where you are a pastor, so you must mean HoB Orlando. I was totally at that show! It was my first time seeing them after being a fan for so long, and sadly the only time I've seen them. Awesome to see someone so local that I can relate to.
Plz do Deceiver by Impending Doom
War music is the ticket lol
Everything's fake by Impending Doom is also a real knee slapper.
Murderer
Anything impending doom for that matter
Yup yup! Impending Doom is deep! My Blood is also a good one musicaly and in terms of lyrics!
I LOVE DEMON HUNTER!!
Pretty cool channel; Funny, interesting and having a positive message and also real cool to see a father and son’s perspective views crossing genres and generational gaps in music. Nice. Good Job Guys.
Appreciate reacting to Demon Hunter!! Good band!!
Yes! It's my favorite single of 2018!
War of ages tracks to consider
Redeemer
Psalms
Chaos theory
Lion heart
All consuming fire
rayisawesoem psalms is a super good song
All Consuming Fire would be a good one
ALL CONSUMING FIRE BUUURRRRRRN.
Fullness is one of my recent favorites, maybe they should try that one.
Dont forget Silent Night!
Spoken wow a band I haven't heard in awhile. Keep up the good work guys
I love Demon hunter. They have a badass name and their songs are fast and hard and others calming.
Rob, thanks for this review and mini sermonette. I always like the meaning behind the music. Even an old guy like me.
God bless.
As long as you believe I would consider you one
What a great channel. I always look forward to new videos. God Bless.
Wolves at the gate - Fathers bargain and man of sorrows
I wish we had a pastor like you in my town this video made me extremly happy in my heart of hearts
I love Demon Hunter, but if you think they are heavy, you should check out some Unblack Metal (Christian Black Metal) bands like Crimson Moonlight, Antestor, Horde, Grave Declaration, etc.
I always heard it as "White" metal
@@ShadowReaver573, that would be what you call something like "KKK Metal" or "White Supremacist Metal". It relays a wrong meaning. Some people call it "Unblack Metal", but some (like myself) call it "Christian Black Metal". This just clearly states the musical style and lyrical content the best
Grave Declaration needs to be shown! Totaly agree! (Hope they will provide another album)
The talent of this band is amazing all of those tempo changes and breaks awesome stuff
I've found your videos through your reaction to Five Finger Death Punch's Wrong Side of Heaven, and now this! I love Demon Hunter!! Demon Hunter is part of a record label called Solid State Records, where ALL of the bands are Christian metal! So you should check out Fit For A King
I would highly recommend August Burns Red - Ghost. This song is sooooooo powerful. They're also part of Solid State Record.
@@hotmissfortune8780 August burns red has been on fearless records for some years. Not solid state records
@@philipwynia5371 holy shit. You're right. I still live in the past :)
@@hotmissfortune8780 it's all good. Still an amazing band regardless.
Loving the reactions and especially the analysis at the end !
"clearly shows his humanity"
Actually enjoyed the song although it's a little heavy for my taste.
Demon Hunter - “Fire to my Soul” or “Crucifix”
Crucifix is by far my favourite song by them!
@@Broken-Flesh Same
My favorite band! My husband and I got engaged after concert!
Do it for August Burns Red
I saw August burns red, miss may I, fit for a king, and in my opinion the best live band I've seen due to their energy was crystal lake. Absolutely killed it as an opener although they all did good minus the clean vocals in fit for a king
Pastor Rob, you’re a good dad to your son for doing these videos and spending a good time with him. Children as arrows
Not a bad song. My favorite Christian metal group is still Theocracy, more of a progressive power metal group.
They're fantastic!
Awesome band
They are awesome also check out brian head welch
Theocracy is not metal core. They belong to symphonic metal band like H.B
OMG Demon Hunter AND Spoken. Great lineup for your first concert as a Christian hahahahaha amazing. I'm loving these videos Pastor Rob! Demon Hunter = my favorite band that and For Today.
You should do more songs from them like my heartstrings come udone or I will fail you.
I concur
Squirrely Nations who are you to say who shall or shall not pass? How can you be subjective like that of a generation you are not apart of?
I have to say that, i havent gone to church in many years, i have a personal faith that i dont even know what part of Catholic or christian religion it belongs too (im told protestant), but if there was a pastor like Pastor Rob, id go to church more... Used to have a Pastor many many years ago when i did go, he used kids toys and comedy to do his sermons every week. he then retired and i never went back. Im glad i found your channel on here..thank you
Absolutely LOVE Demon Hunter. Some awesome songs to check out are Someone To Hate, Last One Alive, Storm the Gates of Hell, and they just out a couple brand new songs out that are killer.
Fit for a King would be another awesome Christian band for you to check out! 🤘🏻
enjoyed this video as well, great job!
