Hi Shane, yep it is exceptional when its flowing in the summer, clear, big fish and great fun...
Reminds me a little of the swampy plains river in nsw with the willows and the fish close in to the bank.They are tough fisheries but worth the effort.

Great video Gav. Nice river. When is the best time to go there?
Its fishing pretty well now, but will some duns and caddis hatches as we warm up a little, it fishes pretty well in December/Jan on the willow grubs, and into Feb on the hoppers, and back to mayfly in March and April...
So best time to go is whenever you can get there David...

Hi Jonathan, just up from Eildon, anywhere is fine... The Goulburn... A high bank in high flows... A low bank in low flows... No charge for that :)
What gear are you using, rod and flyline?
Hi Kai, that one was a Stalker Glide 5wt rod, was absolutely perfect on the Goulburn. Line, the Rio Grand which just loads and goes bang!
