- Gavin Hurley experiences the incredible chalk streams of the United Kingdom... This one just an hour or so out of London and is in a stunning location with the 'old pro' Tony guiding, organised by Simon Cooper from Fishing Breaks...
I've caught on the upper itchen stocked browns (ginormous), stocked rainbows, wild browns and grayling, and seen herons otters and kingfishers. And the landscape is like a painting.
I have spent a few months in Bristol during northern hemisphere winter. I spent so much time targeting the grayling and I am so jealous about yours. Mine were tiny. I was a regular client with Simon. But to be honest I would prefer Australian river any day. At least I can wade freely ... And not upset the river keeper
It is so different Chesney isnt it... Thats why fly fishing is so great, its so diverse across the planet...
Well done. Enjoyed here in Seattle. Thanks
