6 or 8lb leader. For jigheads I use 1/16 or 1/12oz depending on how much flow there is l. I find the osp hp shadtails work really well. Both in 3.1" and 2.5"
OM Hatchery Trout, what an absolute horse bruh. I wonder if those old factory breeders breed when released in the river or if they're all played out? Those things are like dam pets, they knock you 'ass over head' like an over eager large dog.
I saw a post on a camping page i follow and some what looked like first timers thought they were all trout fishing gods when they caught a few huge ex breeders out of a small dam in NSW. Straight on the BBQ for them.
another awesome video mate - love your local Vic content! And we really love you putting them all back for the kids to catch again on the holidays :)
Thanks Mate! I don't have a need for so much meat so best to put them back for someone else to enjoy
Epic, love the video especially those browns. 💪💪🤙
Thanks mate!
Nice work. The footage on the last Brown you caught was awesome.
I couldn't believe that it went for it a second time in such shallow water, was so cool to see

I'm not sure how successful they are spawning in the river but the ones that are still in there definitely try to spawn
