@@PureAdventureFlyFishing Depends. The real issue is the water quality for the fishing. I don't have a vehicle I can easily access but I enjoy walking. When I was a young lad, I dreamed of being a professional musician. And, I ended up being just that, for over 40 years. But, as I’ve grown older, now looking at my 60th birthday looming ever-larger on the near horizon, I dream of the day when I can retire, and spend my free time discovering new streams and rivers in which to throw a fly, and hopefully, if the gods are smiling, fooling a few wiley trout into rising to it. Fly fishing is zen, it’s a spiritual experience...it’s...a religion. For those who may laugh or roll their eyes at this, I’d suggest they experience the peaceful solitude of walking through a silent forest, or crossing a meadow on a misty Spring or Fall morning, creeping up on a stream, quietly stepping into the water, and casting a Blue Winged Olive, Zebra Nymph, or one of many caddis and streamer patterns, and hooking your very first trout... Only THEN will you know that what I’m saying is true. 🙏😉
Great video. Used to stalk trout in small creeks like this in North Georgia mountains - challenging but oh so rewarding when you catch even a small fish.

@@PureAdventureFlyFishing I fish the great streams of northeast Iowa. I refer to myself as an avid hack, as I only learned to fly fish in 2019.
I learned more from this video than any other video I've watched in the past year. I wish I could fish with this guy for a few days--I'd learn so much!
Thanks Jim, are there any other regions and rivers you would like to see filmed?
Where are you from Jim?
@@scottiemcpherson3466 , I live in NYC.
@@jimcastellanos7983 A little bit too far away for me to guide you at present :)
When the world settles down and if you are ever in Aus; Look me up
Meanwhile; I hope that you get to spend some time out on a stream soon :)
Educational to say the least. BRAVO ZULU
thanks Arthur!! have a great one
Great video. No music just great technique and observations. Do another video I’m sure people will be into for sure. Glad I found this!!!
More being edited at the moment Stephen, thanks for your comments mate. Where do you fish?
Great video. I love fly fishing. If I haven't caught anything in the first 5 minutes, there are no fish there and it's time to find another spot. Beaver ponds are also great fishing spots. I would go out at 6 in the morning, cross the road to the beaver pond and catch 2 x 8" - 10" trout in 10 minutes. Go back to the cottage and cook trout and eggs for breakfast for my wife and I.
that’s a dream morning Richard, love it!!
How you approach these small streams is critical-he does an excellent job.
He doesn't talk much about streamcraft, but he's obviously being sneaky, working quite close to the fish. He's dressed in drab natural colors. He gets the most he can from short drifts.
I Love this style. looking ahead, not missing a single fish along the way, going up stream! Amazing to watch
Thanks Brian, more coming! Thanks for your time and support!
Brilliant video your technique and the way u explain different areas of runs Tom from Ireland
Thanks Tom!
Thanks Tom;
Many hours out playing and learning.
I am still looking, studying and thinking about the water in front of me.
There is always something new that I notice or come up with to deal with a situation.
Never stop learning 😎
How the hell does this guy only have 1k followers? This is fishing gold!
Edit.. besides the accent.. you know he’s in Australia by the abundance of gumtrees in the back ground. I lived there for a year and the entire area makes me feel Oz again. Great post my friend!
Thanks for your comment American Argonaut, more great videos coming mate, we love your accent too!
Brilliant fishing, exactly the kinda small rivers I fish in Scotland.
Thanks Kenny, more to come. Do you have some videos up of your rivers? Would love to come over there one day and capture some fishing and throw a line!
@@PureAdventureFlyFishing have a few videos on my channel, have few more planned for the summer.
Such a soothing video. No nonsense whatsoever. Just a man, going thru the stream like no one's business. 👏

Really beautiful, thank you!
Thanks Daraigh, where are you from?
@@PureAdventureFlyFishing I’m from Ireland, currently it’s off season for fishing and we are also in lockdown but this video has me looking forward to getting the fly rod back out🙏
@@doylequinn always happy to inspire, hope the season come quickly and you get out of lockdown even quicker! stay safe and well!
Interesting in that much of what he's doing, in this particular stream is very like Tenkara. All you would need, really. Beautiful stream being enjoyed by a master of the craft. Thank you for taking us along, and greetings from America.
Thanks for your comments Sterling Rice. A variety of videos and streams coming soon. I will checkout the Tenkara also!!
Utah looks beautiful!!
That was really cool. Masterful.
Thanks for that Eric, will pass on to Scottie, been out on the water lately? where are you from?
San Diego, CA-US. Haven’t been out for about 5 weeks going up to Sierra mtns. Next week, can’t wait. I’ve only been fly fishing for a couple of years and I learned a lot for the video.
Thank you.
I really like fishing in small rivers, it's often very technical. And that requires a lot of skill and cunning. Thank you for these beautiful images ❤❤👍👍👍👍
Entertainment plus education. Great work.
thanks Ian, where abouts are you fishing?
@@PureAdventureFlyFishing Hi . I mainly fish Thredbo and Moonbah rivers. Occasionally, Blue Mountains. Just had a successful week in Jindabyne. Cheers.
@@ianatkins1213 Have you fished with any guides up there?
@@PureAdventureFlyFishing no. Been fishing there for over 30 years; probably got some bad habits. Would consider a guide fishing unfamiliar water. Regards
Great video. Fly fishing is one of those sports that the better you are the more effortless it looks. The commentary brings it together and helps people understand the nuances and how important they can be to the sport.
Thanks FTATF, well put!
We need more!
more being edited at the moment!!
Thank you sharing such great experience. Great photography too.
Wow I would love to learn how to fly fish! I have been making flys and selling them but never learned how to use them!😂
Thank you UA-cam algorithm. Beautiful video.
Thank you too!
Hey Scottie, great vid. Hope to cross paths with you again some time.
Been some time 😎
This Season has been fantastic.
Some awesome trout around 😊
Where did this guy go? Wish I could see more videos with him. His accent and smooth voice with the nature sounds.. it’s like fly fishing asmr.
Duder gets so much pussy that he barely has time to fish.
What the hell is ASMR?
Amazing video, the cinematography, commentary and respect for the fish were incredible. Also love the origin of the name! I have to get down to Vic when this pandemic dies down, hope you guys are doing okay
thanks Jimjim, much appreciated, more videos coming soon! where are you mate?
Love that net design !
Super easy to carry!
More videos ? This was great
more coming 👍
Fun way to pend an afternoon. Where I live I do this on much bigger streams for Smallmouth Bass. They fight like a freight train, are plentyfull and are not picky feeders. Nice relaxing video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Michael
Its like watching Bob Ross on a fly rod
Got a leg injury keeping me from the rivers and streams this year. These videos help me keep my sanity during the recovery! Much appreciated and great stuff, sure am jealous!
Sorry to hear that Ollie, more videos coming in the next month mate, so please subscribe and will try to keep you entertained till you back on the water!!!!!

Glad to hear!
I am glad that you liked it.
I spend many hours teaching beginners and instructing experience Flyfishers.
What a way to live a life while relaxing
I just bought 3 flies, Parachute Adams, Elk Hair Caddis, and Prince. I can’t wait to start fly fishing!!
send us some pics when you get out there!!
@@PureAdventureFlyFishing For sure mate!!
Hey Scott, awsome video hope you make some more. Also where did you the compactible fishing net from?
Hi Kris, Scott actually sells them, they are great, head to his website and send him an email. Thanks
They range in price from $70.00 to $120.00.
I hardly use any other net these days.
As someone looking to get more into fly fishing this content is great! Sometimes catching a lot of small fish is more fun than catching a big fish. Can't wait for more!
Cheers Smidget, more being edited and shot at the moment, very excited for the next few months!! Where do you fish?
@@PureAdventureFlyFishing Central New York! I wanna make my own fishing channel actually but I have limited money and resources.
How far do you have to travel to Flyfish from New York? Only takes some time and a camera! Give it a go i will follow you mate!
@@PureAdventureFlyFishing Depends. The real issue is the water quality for the fishing. I don't have a vehicle I can easily access but I enjoy walking. They've done a lot of work on the streams and there's been farm runoff that's absolutely destroyed my childhood streams and rivers that I can walk to. The local brook trout have mostly been killed off. But I can order a chest mount or a tripod and give it a shot! Even if I only catch creek chub lol. This is where I'm gonna post my videos. Might change my channel name later to something better.

@@PureAdventureFlyFishing I ordered a tripod and a chest mount for my phone. I'm ready! 🥰
🙏😉
Donny Donny Donny Loooovvveeee that mate!!!!!!!! you poetically summed it up perfectly lol
Nice. I'm not a Professional fly fisher but I do play one on TV. Top water too, gota love it.
What show Steve?
Where did you get that backpack fishing vest or what brand is it?
Patagonia
Great video. Used to stalk trout in small creeks like this in North Georgia mountains - challenging but oh so rewarding when you catch even a small fish.
I have a passion for these small waters 😎
What a beautiful stream. I wish I had that in my backyard.
Me too MAGA, i have to drive 3.5hrs to get to Scotties area!! But i don't hesitate to go! How far do you have to travel?
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. As a relatively new fly fisherman, It provided great insight to strategy and technique which will definitely improve my skill and approach. I enjoyed, as well, Scotties attitude when he catches even the smallest of fish. Nice finish!
best way to learn is by watching, then get some 1 on 1 guiding!! How good is the finish!!!! thanks for your comments Dennis, where do you fish?
