Will someone from Waves say something about the customers feedback about this new business model? It would be really important, it is impossible that you didn't see how negative was the reception. You need to think a better intermediary solution to deal with the perpetual licenses that was already bought.

I think that Waves like other companies don't want to apologize. They want to wait sometime to the moment then no one gonna to talk about it. Newbies will buy it later because they won't know how waves fucked us. I hope I am wrong but let be realists.
How do you uninstall everything and move to Plug-in Alliance?
This was just the most awful move you've possible could have done! I bought the Waves L1 back in 1993 and been loyal since and bought a lot of stuff over the years, including some expensive bundles. Also updating with all major Mac OS-upgrades with your plan. But this model is something I truly hate and will never support. And that I can't update all my stuff that I already own makes me really angry. This can't be your final decision in this matter. It just can't. Correct your mistake!

There are about 5-10 plug-ins from waves I like maybe 3 I use a lot. Why in the ever hell would I pay 15-25 a month to use them especially when I have already bought them and can now no longer use some of them on the new macOS update.
A lot of their plugins are ancient relics that stock plugins do a much better job of these days.
We don't want this. We want perpetual licenses!! Bring them back.

I won’t bash your plugins, I love a lot of waves plugins, but why not give us the option to own as well? I’m sure many people would do the subscription, but taking away our ownership when we update and making it mandatory is not right at all.

There is a new law in the eu that companies must provide updates to their digital products. That means that update plans are illegal and it is especially illegal to stop supporting perpetual licences. Someone will sue waves for sure.
UAD all day for me! Rest In Peace WAVES, never subscribing to your plan ever. good luck, nobody is happy with this move and you need to seriously consider what will happen with no support from the very people that got you to where you are today as a company!

I bought dozens of waves plugins where I have them because I bought them!! If I want to update them now, I have to take out an essential or ultimate subscription, which costs me 14.90 or 24.90.- per month.. and I convert my purchased plugins back into a rental relationship. that's the worst train! 👎🤮😱

When are you gonna plublish a message to answer all the complaints that we as your USERS and CUSTOMERS (for years) have? Disgraceful behaviour. I have no issue with subscriptions per se but you need to offer the opportunity to buy a perpetual licence and the option to upgrade your plugins that have a perpetual license.
Waves… No one cares about installing your plug-ins anymore. One of the main attractive points about your plug-ins was the fact that we could purchase a license, install, and be on our way. Many people gravitated toward you, because there was no subscription required. As of now, you have eliminated one of the major driving factors that brought and kept persons on your platform.

i bought a couple plug ins about a year ago. i just moved to a Mac instead of windows, my
plug-ins say activated and installed but aren’t appearing in pro tools. I hope i don’t need a subscription now, do i?
You may need to update your plugins to the latest version. Contact their support to check it out.

Before this subscription thing came I bought 2 products from you but I never get an activated notification. I did before but now it says "running in demo mode" and asking me to subscribe to activate? Give my money back!

Now you can pay every month for mediocre plugins! Great idea.
But I’ll bet you that _if_ the subscription model is successful for them (commercially speaking), those mediocre plugins along with all future waves plugins will be top shelf before long. And they would put new stuff out constantly. Like how UA-cam has more content than could ever possibly be watched but they wouldn’t have everyone on the planet using their service if there wasn’t an infinite stream of new content flowing throughout every passing moment of existence
*meaning, if UA-cam didn’t consistently provide _new_ content; not talking about _original_ content though. It’s just the same stuff over and over, with different people and better production quality, aesthetically speaking. Like all of the saturator(s) and compressor(s) and eq(s) and reverb(s)… there are billions of those four things

Our plugins can only be installed using Waves Central.
