Serena lost to two players that have never beat her that year and then started working with Patrick before Wimbledon. From Wimbley 2012 till about 2017 she was literally the best players alive! Some times you need to fall on you ahh, seek help, and recover!!

One of the worst matches Serena has ever played in Grand Slams in her career and she has played 420 matches…Inexplicably terrible performance from her, although to be fair she was injured, but still, she looked so flat and lifeless out there.
She didn’t wanna be out there, she was injured and not being able to move the way she normally would is extremely frustrating if your Serena freakin Williams lol so yea she was over it, but regardless! 2012 Serena was legit one of her best years everrr after the horrific French open 1st rd loss man like unbelievable
@@jessg101 She rolled her ankle in Brisbane and had to withdraw from the QF. She bruised it pretty badly and it affected her performance at the AO. It’s not an excuse, it’s a fact.

@@guillermopartida2518 Serena literally rolled her ankle a week before the AO in Brisbane in the middle of her match against Jovanovski and had to withdraw from her next match. The fall was pretty bad and it’s documented on UA-cam. Her ankle was swollen throughout 2012 AO and there are pictures of it online. Stop trying to be a smartass.
Makarova played really well. She stay with Serena and got the W she earned. I do think Serena's injury was in her head.
