Nomos Club Sport: Affordable & available Rolex alternative?

Nomos went and released a 37mm version of their Nomos Club models with a sport version on steel bracelet. This is another banger pf a watch from Nomos in the club line with a few niggling flaws, some cool colours and something that will appeal to a different croud compared to who usually wesrs a club These are my thoughts....

New to your channel, but I really like your videos. I actually got the Club Sport Polar as my first mechanical watch. I also didn't like the oyster style (what they call "Club Sport Bracelet"), so I went for their more older standard "Sport Bracelet" (although it does cost a little more). I think it keeps the classic Nomos Club aesthetic well as it fits to the watch more like a strap or a milanese style bracelet.

Glad you enjoy my videos. I've always been partial to nomos on regular straps - their fabric and shell cordovan straps are really good. Agree totally with you on the "oyster"

Love the Clubs, my only regret with mine is it's an earlier date model without a quick date set. Otherwise, I feel it hits above its 'weight class'.

Im glad you looked at a 37 mike. I had a seiko 37 mm for my graduation and 25 years later still wear it as my dress watch. I was looking at upgrading with a tudor black bay 36.

Thanks. I'm a little late to the game - Nomos doesn't send me watches for review so I have to wait for A: a friend to buy a watch or for it to show up in store windows.
The BB36 is an underrated classic.

My favorite brands are Laco and Sinn, I would also consider one of these Club sport models, as the design language here too, speaks to me.

The dial colours are looking real great! I never had their Club line on my radar before tbh as I'm a huge (maybe old-fashioned) fan of the Ludwig 237's stunning enamel dial. Those new ones could be crowd-pleasers if marketed correctly.

Totally agree. They are hitting a new segment with the Club sport. I love Nomos but before it was more of what I thought of as "the archtiects watch". Now - mass appeal.
Ludwig is a great choice. My own personal favorite has been the all white orion.

I really get the vfm aspect of Nomos watches and just that is enough to make them appeal to me like every other watch enthusiast but I get more “ I don’t really like sex “ vibes than Bauhaus . I don’t know why. In comparison 40-50’s Patek dress references are pure sex 🤤and 100% Bauhaus
