Those molds are for St Nicholas Day,the Dutch gift giving feast on the evening of 5th December. His birthday is 6th December. The mold sre of St Nicholas on his horse and the othe of his servant Peter on a horse. The dough is like gingerbread and called either soft Spekulaas or Pepernoten. We had these when I was a child in the Netherlands.
I got 2 Star Wars 1983 Imperial Shuttles for $3 each earlier this year and even though they were broken I got over $100 each plus some shipping (I always absorb some of the shipping cost but probably shouldn’t). Great vid Don, love the narrated thrift shopping. Very suspenseful. Lol
LML I have got so many good things after watching and studying the videos. I have the attention span of a gnat so I watch them over and over... this guy is fascinating!
I just want to say thanks again for your videos. I know you make money from them as well but it is good of you to share for those of us who need extra income and might not be able to go out and work right now. I hope I can start finding some things and learn enough of the how to in order to help supplement. I have rescued animals for years and right now really need income for medical for these babies. They are not being adopted out, most are older and now have issues. So it all falls on me. Anyway thanks for the info I am grateful 👍
I’m a quilter. Never seen anything new like that at a thrift store. However, I always buy my templates and such at a big discount at the stores. Great video, very informative.
I wish we had stuff that old and interesting in our thrift stores here in Phoenix. We have a lot of mid-century modern stuff. That's generally as old as we get.
I been watching to expand my knowledge. I buy vintage Coach bags for less than twenty bucks, many around ten bucks, I restore them and sell on eBay for around 100 bucks or more. There's good money to be made in those vintage Coach bags. Love your channel! Great content 👍
I loved this video. I’m just watching some of your older videos that catch my eye at the moment. Not sure if you’ll see this question but do you remove the price sticker from the men’s shirt packet at all? I can’t usually remove stickers like that no matter what I use. Thanks in advance.
How do u tell how old the Peter plates are? Also patches I have several new n I have pins n bars, same question. Thank you for all information..I'm getting real inspired. Ive alwys known alot of this just not sure what when how , Just need help. Thanks again for the time n engry u put In
As a dutchie, i think you were looking for the word "Speculaas"........tx for all the info vids @11:37 do you have any video / more info on plates what to look for etc
Hi Don - Great video as always. You’re a terrific educator. Question: how do you determine the age of pewter plating? Purely from a makers Mark or are there stylistic elements. You commented on the aging of a plate that you showed versus something 150 years older.
We just dont have shops like that in the UK. Our charity shops are usually the places to avoid because they are so highly priced - overpriced to be honest and you certain can't haggle..
I am learning so much and enjoy your videos so much. I wish you would make sure that we know what you are showing though. The first 3 items you showed, I have no idea what they were.
So glad to yalls video, and thanks for sharing.I came across a Zino Platinum Z-Crown box and has 6 cigar containers and actually one and a half of one cigar in the individual boxes. I can't find but one on ebay and not alot of information on this limited edition,Can you give me any ideas how to research the value etc..Thanks so much,me and my Mama absolutely love your content👐🤩
@@TheAuctionProfessor Thanks. That makes sense. I checked a few on eBay offering free shipping on a $5 item, which made no sense. Enjoying the shopping/haul videos.
Hi Don, I have a question that I figure you could answer. Maybe you could in a video (I watch all your videos)! If someone buys and pays for an item on eBay and then asks you to cancel (after they just paid) will the seller have to eat the none refundable PayPal fees?
Tanis Tramontin every time I have refunded a cancelled order through PayPal it shows PayPal fees being returned as well to customer. So you are returning that much less
Your more patient than me i can't take anyone especially a partner with me on my thrift hunt. because i'm working and have to move fast and get down the road. But women always wanna piddle and look at clothing and take forever and also they have a knack for always standing in the way and moving very slow. sorry can't do it i'm to high strung for that. can't take anybody with me!!!
Those shirts are all still in the packaging because they are so damn ugly, nobody would be caught dead in them. I sure hope the people who buy/collect them aren't. Man, I remember my parents forcing me to wear that crap for church back then. Absolutely traumatic!
LOL your comment. I would imagine they could be sold to anyone looking for period pieces for a television show or movie. It all comes back around again with fashion except in your case.🙂

That first pair of glasses looks like the pair Richard Dreyfuss wore in Jaws.
There's likely a lot of profits at thrift stores people are walking past. The more I slow down the more I find.
Aaron Kluge true !
Wow Thanks! I got new items I didn't know about to look for now. Hope you take us with you again here soon to the thrift store
Love this video
I am looking to get started
Great haul! Love love love those cookie molds- they are fantastic!

I love this video format. You are like an encyclopedia. I'd walk by these wooden molds, I would not know what it was....
Wish I could find nice things like these at my local thrift stores.
Are you listing these items as you buy them?

This place seems to have more vintage stuff than a regular thrift store ....

Would you ever consider doing a video on Goodwill online or do you have any opinions on that .. thanks
Those shirts are fabulous !!
Nice haul! Now i know what Dutch cookie molds are Thanks!
Kings Road was a Sears line, aimed at the younger man demo. Their Hawaiian shirts are amazing.
How do you date the stuff like plates? Especially when they have no label or markings
Those Shirts Are Dope! On Height Street those are $100+ each
As a dutchie, i think you were looking for the word "Speculaas"........tx for all the info vids
@11:37 do you have any video / more info on plates what to look for etc
Really enjoyed this type of video, Don!
@13:40 - if they're all sealed, how do you know/determine which ones to put on FBA and which for eBay?
Thanks again brother
What is your opinion on selling blue mountai pottery?

I paid $42.00 a piece for new small cookie mold from Russia, the ones you show are great!
Don. Have you made on old radios
I think the cookies you're referring to are snickerdoodles
Can you provide a link to your eBay store? Thank you.
I am learning so much and enjoy your videos so much. I wish you would make sure that we know what you are showing though. The first 3 items you showed, I have no idea what they were.
Great video, but I enjoy all your videos. You looked so much more Professor-like with the glasses on LOL, Thank you for what you share here!
Very informative and entertaining. Subbed!

Thanks for making a video like this, much appreciated🙂
I just sold an odyssey in the box for 400 bucks....that was the 2nd one I believe though
what is a odyssey in a box? thank you🙂
17:23 Never ever did well with these (vintage sealed men's shirts) .
How do you ship individual patches. It seems shipping would eat up the profit.
We ship everything first class, and we ALWAYS charge for shipping.
@@TheAuctionProfessor Thanks. That makes sense. I checked a few on eBay offering free shipping on a $5 item, which made no sense. Enjoying the shopping/haul videos.
Are you in florida?
where do you live ? I cannot believe the prices at your St.Vicent thrift store are sooo HIGH.
could you explain hotel glassware? what does that mean?
I went to that new store last weekend and I thought their prices were pretty high. I didn't find anything that day :(
Don cleaned them out.😉👍There's always something people miss.

That changes on oct 11. You loose all the original Paypal transaction fees on a return or cancelation.
What state are you in?
It’s like you are charmed, Don. I was in two thrift stores today and pffffffffft!
those are some big cookies!

I'm sure prop houses would be interested...no matter how ugly.
LOL your comment. I would imagine they could be sold to anyone looking for period pieces for a television show or movie. It all comes back around again with fashion except in your case.🙂
My Left Thumb anyone know how to get those darn thrift price tags off fragile surfaces. I have used olive oil but man its time consuming
*Just* *SUBSCRBED* *W@$$UP!!*
Dude be a little gentler on stuff.
