My great-grandfather would fall over if he could see this. 10 mile an hour planting corn. Hope you're having a great day thanks for sharing
Yaaa! and my Dads foot and my butt would be sore...
Your great grandfather would probably fall over if he could see how stupid you are
I'm a old retired farmer from SD, but I have a question when do you ever work all I see you making comments on all of the farming channels.
@@keithcantwell3610 If you are referring to my, I'm 75 and work in my fab shop everyday 7am to 9 pm
@@keithcantwell3610 because I enjoy life. And yes I get a lot done with 5 kids
I've watched Millennial farmer and Larsen Farms do videos showing themselves planting at 10 miles per hour and now I've watched this one and I'm still not tired I've seen it and still amazed How smooth It Is. Good video big tractor power
At this time of pandemic, we are once again remaindered just how much we depend on and owe to all farmers, whether they raise crops, animals or nuts and fruits. Again, thank you.
Whoa buddy!! Planting at 10mph! That is amazing! Lol we don't even spray that fast! Well, that should get er done pretty quick!! Lol I've been ripping ahead of the planter since 7am and got off at 8:30! We're definitely in the long days now! May God bless our crops this year!!
Terrell Spivey god aint got shit to do with that my guy.
Wow My dad who was a vocational ag teacher would not believe this he thought 5 mph was too fast to plant corn. Nice video thank you for sharing.
Love the look of that 9370r with those narrow triples and tanks, just awesome looking tractor. 😎
Awesome video Jason! Always love seeing a 4WD on triples
🤚👍👍👍👍
Sweet video BTP. Man I miss the days out in the field 👍🚜
That is a HUGE unit and the tractor has 12 wheels WOW!😎😎😎😎😎😎
Nice to see the big green rolling 🚜🚜👍👍
That was a pretty good sales pitch for that tractor/planter combination.
I just enjoy sharing farm machine details.
@@bigtractorpower Oh I do understand that and as price vs production capability is a very important factor this does appear to be a well matched package. Appreciate your videos.
Great video, it is pretty rare to see a tractor with triple tires and a three point hitch! 👍
It is. Triples are popular here in WKY for 4wds. You don’t see larger duals very often.
Amazing video great machine beautiful John Deere tractor have a nice day keep up the good work
I love John Deere since 2015
This is an amazing grain planting technique.
This rig makes planting a lot faster👍
It is amazing how planting has changed in recent years.
Thnx keep me coming !👍
Em as in them...
Wow, 500 acres a day?! Here in Belgium were also planting corn now with a 8 row amazone and Fendt 722. We only cover 60 acres a day. Thx for the great videos!
Karel Van Acker it’s a whole different beast. You’re planting maize, they are planting corn. Ones for livestock and requires more care.
Great video Jason as always! That farm must be huge!
Wow, I been waiting to see these guys farming! Great video
Its funny that there are million of farmers in the world and no one is doing it the same way😁
That’s what I like. It’s interesting to see how different methods work.
That's a nice tractor and planters
Thanks for sharing BTP!!
Thank you for watching.
bonjour. j'aime ses videos. merci encore.pierre france.
nice machine to watch
Triple wheels doing the business.
🚜 looks like it’s moon walking through the field
I am not a farmer but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express.
My experience with farming has mostly been with Farm Simulator game.
I will from now on do headlands (or end rows) last rather than first.
Wow. 700k but gets the job done on large farms Great video
Great video BTP!
Quite the operations you have there. Enjoy watching your videos a lot, next time you are around Waterloo, Iowa look me up can show you some very different kind of farm.
Great video
Thank you for watching.
Awesome 👍
Awesome Video Buddy!!
Thank you for watching.
Pretty awesome equipment. Really covers the ground, doesn't it?
Cool
Nice video bro
Dislikes are from competitors who don’t have a comparable end to end solution.
Thanks so much for the videos, those trucks i saw at the side of the farm are the ones that transport seeds or ?and why do they treat the seeds before planting in the usa?in africa we dont treat seeds, just put them on the ground and add fertilizer, and i see here the fertilizer is in liquid form, in africa not so, its solid, its like small seeds. thanks and be blessed
Turn on ours pretty good not cheap to pay for that kind of speed and productivity but we’re trying to beat the weather that’s on the way to go I guess
Great video!!!!! Really nice equipment, what’s up with your friend Matt and them when you gonna make another video of them planting?
Matt and the planting team finished Tuesday at 1 am. Lots of footage on the way.
Thanks Jason
Hermosa herramientas 😁
At about 500 acres a day, how many total acres does that farm plant? I really like that setup, nice video.
Great as always! Why don‘t they use an 8370R? Should be more efficient in terms of fuel consumption.
Are you sure about that I think it's the same 9 letter engine in both tractors
you can get that 4wd cheaper especially on a fleet lease
The 8370R wouldn’t handle the 1000 gallon tanks
No rocks ,amazing. I used to pick so many rocks before planting when I was a kid that I would dream that I was picking rocks at night, talk about a nightmare.
Uggghhh!!! I know what you mean. Not just the grapefruit sized ones either. Boulders, HUGE boulders!!!!!
WOW!!! 10 mph. The ground is absolutely smooth and rock free. Wish they could seed wheat up the Northwest at 10 mph. The new seeding equipment from Case IH, they can run 7-8. Just too rough, and in areas, too much rock.
Faster than a speeding bullet!!!
SOU DO BRASIL VERY GOOD
Thanks again, BTP. Was this on the farm Matt works on?
No this is a different farm. A Matt planting video will be out soon.
@@bigtractorpower OK. Thanks!
What year of planter? I work at John Deere Seeding Group. I can guarantee you that I have delivered parts from receiving to the work centers.
Is the 500 acres a day 24 hours or 12 hours impressive set up thanks for sharing.
Robert lackey in farming terms its usual referring to when their is daylight so 12
you run a 60ft air drill or planter 10mph around the clock you will have alot more than a 1000 acres in the ground if you have large fields an min road time
200k for a planter holy moly
That’s the base price. Once you add other components most planters are $350 to $500K.
Is this Arnold Farms?
Yes.
Thank you, I thought so, I have a friend who has worked for them, and also Garnett Farms.
Is that Matt and there new planter?
Here's another great video for you guys check out two-row corn planter it might not be 10 mile an hour but this is where we all started. ua-cam.com/video/vxBF4nR_xMc/v-deo.html
I am working on a history of corn planting. Starting with the check row planter in the 1930’s. It’s interesting to see how planting developed.
Why is it not Possible To see How The Traction Wheel of a Tract Tractor Works, How it Pull the Tract Thru ?? Is There Nobs That Pulls, How ?
John Hartman the tracts grip the metal drive wheel on the tracts like a rubber band on a rubber band ball it’s super grippy and because of that the tracks don’t slip
Hi bigtractorpower, why do tractors in the US have narrow width tires?
Good question. The short answer is so they can fertilize corn after its growing and run between the rows. I talk more about it in this video ua-cam.com/video/yh4pe_H21IY/v-deo.html
Is it wet enough to get a seed strike.?
It’s plenty wet. There is standing water in spots of this field. This soil is just right for seeding. It rained two days after this was filmed.
Hello. Why the corn that is going to be planted is green? Are the seeds painted?
Preventive fungicide on the seed so it will not rot in the soil.
bigtractorpower Thank you
Treated seed.
And also yes. The seeds are painted.
When they are done with the tractor, do they take off the extra wheels.
steve647my not exactly the wheels will most likely stay on because they help with a lot of different applications and they put less pressure on the ground if you have more wheels so you don’t compact soil as much and having compacted soil is bad because it affects how the crops can grow so that’s why they have a lot of wheels
Nope, that tractor will stay set up like that. The only thing they will do is take the tank set up off for tillage work or gain cart.
This tractor main use is planting.
Wheres the Matt videos
Did I hear right they can put almost 9,000 lb of weight on this tractor?
It'd be very interesting to see how that's done
Hello from Israel 🇮🇱
Hello
using green seed in a green planter with a green tractor thats a little too much green if ya ask me
Let's guess, western kentucky.
Yes I mention that in the first 60 seconds. I have had several IL videos this month and a few WI. IA and CA will be up soon. I live in WKY so it makes it easy to film.
✌️✌️✌️✌️
I'd wager those tanks are Stainless steel rather than Chrome due to the corrosive nature of fertilizer
They are. I just had the silver on my mind as I was narrating.
@@bigtractorpower blinded by the shiny stuff it happens
GMO corn
stainless steel, not chrome I think
Yes I messed up on the phrasing. I will say stainless next time. They are a popular tank here.
*don't look like corn to me, mister! Whatch u call that? Alien seed?*
Treated seed.
