Walnut is such an underrated tonewood. Doesn't get near the attention as the hogs and rosewood species, but it should. I've played probably 6 or 7 walnut guitars and have loved them all.
And walnut looks great IMO. Just definitely a great change of pace from the traditional tonewoods. Maybe my favorite actually.

There is no way, in a million years, I would pay $12,000 for black walnut...... Those guys at FB are good, but not that good....Highly figured black walnut back and sides go for about $250 bucks.....
