Now it's fair to say that being a fan of Stuarts work and enjoying the videos that have featured Michael and his playing that I was quite chuffed. Add to the fact that I'm rather in love with the sound of the Froggy Bottom guitars and I'll shamelessly confess to grinning like an idiot in anticipation. Very enjoyable!
My only disappointment being that the video was cut short at the end!

Matt Allen Thanks Matt, glad you enjoyed it! This one was really fun to do. I won't divulge my favourite of all of these but it may be obvious from the video! All the best, Stuart

Stuart Ryan is SUCH an OUTSTANDING player... I am speechless. Perhaps it is time to get off UA-cam and back to practising.
I know you have made a video on Nail Care, however, Stuart's methods of Ping Pong Balls, Silk Wraps and Nail Glue are some that I have always wanted to explore. Do consider posting another nail care video covering these please! Particularly on the Nail Glue (because I am lazy and it sounds like the simplest solution!)
    Cheers,
    MW.

Marcus Wong Hi Marcus, thank you for your kind words and for watching, we had a lot of fun putting this together! The silk wraps method is great, it's very quick to apply and doesn't damage the fingernail in any way. The nail silk is made by Savarez and the self-adhesive is the one to go for. All the best, Stuart

StuartRyanMusic Hi Stuart Ryan, thanks for the reply!! I'll definitely check it out. Thanks so much for your insight. I thought that the parlour sounded especially good in your hands, PERFECT I would say :)

Great video- loved that M model, the one I would probably walk away with if I had the funds :) Interesting discussion about nails as well! As someone who has always used their own nails, I wonder why so many players reinforce their nails? Surely in the long run it doesn't do your nails any good?

Robbie J Hi Robbie, if you apply the right stuff carefully there is never any damage. Back in the 1960s the folk players used superglue, baking powder and bathroom tissue to create stronger nails. Now that DOES cause damage, I've seen it first hand! My nails are fairly strong but I like the security of knowing they won't break mid-performance or recording so I re-enforce when necessary. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it! All the best, Stuart

From this 2015 vid there's no doubt Stuart is a great finger style player but he's killing these dreads with a flat pick, and not in a good way. Far too heavy, almost brutal, and probably the wrong pick, just sledgehammer technique, awful. It's not how to use a flatpack Stuart! You can get a great tone with subtlety brother.
Totally agree with the comments re spruce/mahog but Stuart was being restrained, rosewood sometimes turns the sound to mush, esp when chorded.
Very good video demo'ing these fab FB's.
